Short Trips Around Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai | A Paradise: Liyang Tianmu Lake
🔷Today, let's talk about a great place to enjoy hot springs near Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai! Yushui Hot Spring and Nanshan Bamboo Sea are located near the Tianmu Lake scenic area in Liyang, Jiangsu.
🔷Liyang's tourist attractions are divided into three areas: the Tianmu Lake scenic area, Nanshan Bamboo Sea, and Yushui Hot Spring. Nanshan Bamboo Sea and Yushui Hot Spring are very close to each other, about a 10-minute walk. The Tianmu Lake scenic area is farther away, more than 30 minutes by car. So, for a short trip to Liyang, Nanshan Bamboo Sea and Yushui Hot Spring are generally recommended.♨️
♨️Yushui Hot Spring
✅Let's start with Yushui Hot Spring, a great place to soak! The Yushui Hot Spring resort is on a mountain and offers a variety of hot springs, including open-air, infused (various flavors), indoor, and fish therapy springs.
✅The most famous is the Bamboo Tip Hot Spring at the mountaintop. It's open-air and offers views of the bamboo sea—super beautiful! To get photos like this, head straight to the top to soak in the Bamboo Tip Hot Spring first, then gradually work your way down. I've marked it in the pictures. The day we went was a beautiful sunny day with blue skies, white clouds, and a bamboo sea, with a gentle breeze blowing. It was so relaxing!
✅There are also Wine Pool Hot Spring, Aloe Hot Spring, sulfur springs, stone slab steam rooms, and more! Indoors, there's a swimming pool and a lounge. There are plenty of recreational activities. Soaking in the hot springs is perfect in this current weather in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai!
♨️Nanshan Bamboo Sea
✅There are three ways to see Nanshan Bamboo Sea: one is by mini-train + cable car, 110/person; another is by mini-train + rail, in two different directions. You can also do mini-train + cable car + rail, 190/person.
✅The mini-train is the way to go up the mountain. It travels along the mountain. The cable car is the one in my picture. It offers a panoramic view of Nanshan Bamboo Sea. The expanse of green bamboo leaves is very healing. Seniors, children, and pets are all allowed on the cable car!
✅We didn't go on the rail because there were too many people and we couldn't get tickets. From the promotional pictures, it looks like you can pass through the bamboo sea, up and down the mountain, traveling through the mountains to see the scenery. It also feels like a paradise!
♨️Tianmu Lake Scenic Area
✅It was raining the day we went to Tianmu Lake, so it just looked like a lake, nothing special. This scenic area also has hot springs. However, we had afternoon tea at the Wei Tianmu Lake Hotel, which was quite relaxing. I'll write about the Wei Tianmu Lake Hotel in the next post~
🎫Tickets: All tickets were purchased at the Princess hao in the Liyang Tianmu Lake scenic area. There are discounts on holidays~ You can check online for various packages and combinations. Choose the one that best suits your itinerary!
🚄Transportation: High-speed train from Shanghai to Liyang
🚕Taxi: Take a taxi to the Nanshan Bamboo Sea scenic area. It's easy to get a DiDi within the scenic area! Transportation is not a problem!
🍜Food: There are barbecue and Tianmu Lake fish head soup at the entrance of the scenic area. They all taste pretty good. You can refer to the food pictures I included~
🌟Rating: Highly recommend a weekend trip for friends in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai to soak in the hot springs, see the bamboo sea, and relax!
