Tianmen Mountain in Luocheng, Guangxi, is a place like a paradise on earth, where a magical cave is hidden in the mountains
Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area is located in Yuanmengtun, west of Huaiqun Town, Luocheng County. It boasts a unique karst topography, with clear mountains and beautiful waters, and a distinctive landscape. Yet, it remains understated, making it a niche scenic spot that can rival the landscapes of Yangshuo.
The area is very pristine, with all natural landscapes. Hidden within the scenic area is a huge natural cave entrance that spans across the water. The Tianmen Mountain Cave is about 80 meters high, over 40 meters wide, and more than 100 meters long. From a distance, Tianmen looks like a stage with its curtain drawn, truly spectacular.
The entrance fee for Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area is 60 yuan (including a boat trip and the Shenlong Cave). Taking a bamboo raft from the dock, one can see the clear, green river water and the bamboo on both banks reflected in the water, making it feel like a fairyland. You can also admire the Tianmen Mountain Cave up close and marvel at the wonders of nature. The Shenlong Cave is located halfway up the mountain. After disembarking, you need to walk a bit, then climb more than 800 stone steps to reach it. The air here is so good that you don't feel tired. Inside the cave, the stalactites come in various shapes and are lifelike, with features like Guanyin offering a child and the Sea-Calming Needle. In the cave, you can experience a magical world, making a visit here well worth it.
There are no restaurants in the scenic area. For dining, you can go to Huaiqun Town, 3 kilometers away from the scenic area. There is a fast food restaurant called Shunhe in the town, which offers dry tossed noodles that are both cheap and delicious.
