11.10 Back from Huangshan, my suggestion for climbing Tiandu Peak is...
🎈Huangshan's Tiandu Peak is a "full-level challenge" that reopened after five years of closure! Only 3,000 people are allowed to climb it every day, while the daily limit for Huangshan is 30,000 visitors, which means only one-tenth of the visitors can successfully climb Tiandu Peak. It opens at 7 am every day when the weather is good, with no strong winds, heavy rain, or lightning. I just came down from Huangshan, and now I'm sharing the must-climb strategy for Tiandu Peak that a girl in our group told me, so that everyone has a chance to be one of the lucky one-tenth❗
-
🌟Route choices:
1. Super easy route: Take the first shuttle bus in the morning — then take the Yuping cable car — arrive at the Guest-Greeting Pine — then go to the old trailhead — finally climb to the top from the north side of Tiandu Peak.
2. No backtracking route: Take the first shuttle bus in the morning — arrive at Ciguang Pavilion — then start from the new trailhead — finally climb to the top from the south side of Tiandu Peak.

🌟Huangshan travel tips:
✅Tiandu Peak will close at the end of November, and the next time to climb it will be in April next year!
✅You can prepare your own telescopic trekking poles, or buy a wooden trekking pole for 10 yuan at the foot of the mountain, and there are also rental ones, which can be recycled when you go down the mountain.
✅When climbing, be sure to breathe slowly and evenly, don't rush, there is plenty of time. I climbed very fast at first, but soon got tired.
✅It is recommended to bring Yunnan Baiyao, rinse your knees with hot water after going down the mountain, then spray Yunnan Baiyao, and massage and rub them, and you will feel amazing the next day, able to walk freely, with almost no soreness, I just climbed Tiandu Peak and it worked for me.
✅If you are not very physically fit, it is recommended to buy a cable car ticket for going up and down the mountain, which will make climbing much easier.
✅There is no need to bring too much food for climbing, just enough to replenish your energy. Things like chocolate, Snickers, cookies, and bread are all good, just a small amount is enough.
✅Walk the West Sea Grand Canyon in reverse! Take the small train to the bottom of the valley first, then climb up, trust me, there are basically no people, and climbing this way won't hurt your knees, I found it quite easy, and my legs didn't hurt when I came back.

Late autumn trip to Mount Huangshan.
On November 5, Mount Huangshan, a world-famous landscape painting, shows its unique charm in late autumn. In autumn, the sky is blue, the peaks are beautiful, the sea of clouds is magnificent, and the colorful forest is picturesque, forming a moving natural picture. At this time, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of red leaves, yellow leaves, and maple leaves along the winding mountain path, and deeply feel the magical charm of nature.
Warm reminder: The temperature difference is a bit large, and it is cold in the morning. You can wear more clothes.

From ancient Huizhou to the ultimate snowy Huangshan
📍Scenic Spot Address: Huangshan is located within Huangshan City, Anhui Province, 5 hours by car from Shanghai (3 hours by high-speed train), and 6 hours by car from Wuhan (4 hours by high-speed train). The transportation is convenient and well-connected.
🚗Scenic Spot Transportation: Drive to the unified distribution center and take a bus to reach Huangshan.
👍️Must-visit Spots: Tiandu Peak, Bright Summit, Xihai Grand Canyon, with the Welcoming Pine along the way. Although Huangshan is over 1600 meters high, which is not very high compared to other mountains, the scenery along the way is indeed superior. Especially when encountering the sea of clouds, a mountain with a sea of clouds and one without are entirely different; the sea of clouds brings out the charm of Huangshan to the fullest.
🎟️Ticket Information: Online ticket booking is very convenient. You can choose the Yuping Cableway, Yungu Cableway, or Taiping Cableway. The Taiping Cableway has large cabins, and the scenery on each cableway is very beautiful and worth taking.
💗Other Tips: Huangshan belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate with distinct seasons. We went in winter and encountered snow, making it feel like entering a snowy world, extremely beautiful. Each season should have its unique beauty. Huangshan tickets allow entry twice. There are many hotels at the foot of the mountain, but limited choices on the mountain. New hotels are being built to expand capacity. On the mountain, you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset. The variety of food on the mountain is generally average but much better than before.

Life advice: You must visit Mount Huangshan while you're young!
After returning from the Five Great Mountains, one does not look at other mountains; after returning from Mount Huangshan, one does not look at the Five Great Mountains.
Start from the clouds, beginning with the cable car, the majestic mountains will amaze you, and you'll marvel at the splendor and diversity of our great China
Both high-speed trains and airplanes can get you to Mount Huangshan, but there's still a distance to the scenic area. You can stay at the foot of Mount Huangshan to save time getting up the mountain early in the morning. A taxi ride will cost just over a hundred, and the tourism services there are quite developed, with food, drink, and accommodation readily available. You can get a very nice room for four to five hundred, and the cost of meals is reasonable, with no overcharging noticed. A meal for two people can be quite good for just over two hundred. Actually, no matter which side you ascend from, you'll need to take a cable car because Mount Huangshan is vast, and the entire route is quite long. Set off in the morning by car, take photos along the way, and you'll come down by evening. Be sure not to dawdle, or you might miss the last bus down the mountain
Also, wear a pair of comfortable and non-slip sports shoes. If you're unlucky and the weather isn't good on the day you go up, don't be discouraged. The first time I went, it was raining, and the whole of Mount Huangshan was shrouded in mist, like being in a fairyland, which has its own unique charm.

Come and experience it! Recording the climb of Tiandu Peak
🧗🏻♂️Tiandu Peak is open, come and experience it.
☀️Before coming, I closely followed the weather forecast and found that Thursday would be a sunny day. I took the high-speed train to Huangshan North Station on Wednesday afternoon. Next to it is the Huangshan Tourist Passenger Transport Center, where I took a shuttle bus to the South Gate Transfer Center and stayed nearby for the night.
📄The goal of this trip is Tiandu Peak, as it is next to Yuping. I finally decided to walk up from Ciguang Pavilion and exit through the new and old paths.
⏱️At 6 a.m., Tangkou Town was already bustling. After finding a place to have breakfast, I queued up at the entrance of the transfer center. The first shuttle bus departs at 6:50 a.m., and the queue had already extended to the road. Finally, the doors opened, and people rushed in.
⌛Huangshan still implements segmented reservations, and tickets must be purchased in advance; otherwise, you are not allowed to enter the station and board the bus. Visitors to Yun Valley and Ciguang Pavilion are roughly equal in number, so there is no need to be overly anxious. Tiandu Peak is only an obsession for some people.
⚗️After arriving at the lower station of the Yuping Cableway, most people took the cable car, while only a few chose to hike up. Due to recent rains, the West Sea, Tiandu Peak, and the hiking trails were closed, but they reopened today, so I consider myself lucky. Therefore, be sure to check the latest news from the Huangshan Scenic Area before coming to avoid a wasted trip.
🧗🏻♀️There is still some distance to Ciguang Pavilion, but there is a special car to take you there, so don't worry and just get on the car. Next is the climb, which takes about an hour to reach the Mid-Mountain Temple. From there, it's not far to the new entrance of Tiandu Peak.
Since there are not many people hiking up, there is no need to queue at the new entrance of Tiandu Peak, and you can take photos at your leisure. Yes, no need to queue, but you need to scan your ID card to enter.
🧗🏻♂️Relatively speaking, the new entrance path is longer and steeper, but I think it's perfect for climbing, using both hands and feet. It's best to bring a pair of gloves, as trekking poles can be a burden. There are relatively few people on the road, and occasionally you meet people coming down who stayed overnight on the mountain. I guess those who took the cable car up and walked the old path returned the same way after reaching the summit because they had other places to visit.
😃This path has flat sections for resting after each climb, making it easier than the continuous steps at the bottom of the mountain. It takes about an hour to reach the top of Tiandu Peak. The summit is crowded, and everyone's face is filled with joy.
⭐I descended via the old path. Except for the perilous Jiyu Ridge, the difficulty is not high. You still need to scan your ID card when exiting. From there, I went to Yuping, where half of the mountain path is cordoned off for Tiandu Peak queuing, and the queue had already reached halfway up the mountain.
🚠After reaching Yuping and taking a photo of the Welcoming Pine, I heard a broadcast announcing that Tiandu Peak had reached its peak capacity for the day, and many people had to leave disappointed. I took the cable car down the mountain.
💰Costs: Ticket 190, bus 30*2, transfer 19*2, cable car 90, hotel 200

Mount Huangshan is great but next time
Mount Huangshan is great but next time...
Overall, the trip was quite OK, and the weather was good too, but the queue management was really frustrating!!!
We originally planned to get up at 5:00 and head out directly, but the hotel staff advised that there was no need to rush early, which affected our subsequent itinerary. If you want to experience it (climbing the Celestial Capital Peak), you really have to get up early! Leave at 6:00, reach the summit by 6:30, and then there's a 4-hour queue!!!
If you're physically OK and happen to be there during peak times (weekends), I really suggest getting up early! Early! Early! Or consider hiking up the mountain!!
The Celestial Capital Peak is not that hard to climb, it's worth going up, and the Carp's Back isn't difficult either, just be careful, but there are a lot of people and the management staff lack the ability to deal with a large volume of tourists, it can be said to be a complete mess... After climbing, we went to the Bright Summit, which was also crowded but much better than the Celestial Capital Peak...
The hotel environment is still highly recommended: a secluded place, I personally really like the loft, they have four-person rooms, very nice, I will choose it again next time~
For photography, I feel a duckbill cap looks better, tight-fitting clothes, some places are quite cold, I brought a hardshell jacket~ Be sure to bring the spirit of adventure!

Huangshan One-Day Tour
Huangshan 5.24 one-day tour itinerary (including Celestial Capital Peak)
We probably started climbing the mountain at six in the morning, and by the time we reached Celestial Capital Peak, it was already past eight, hitting the first wave of visitor flow control (time-segmented flow control not exceeding 500 people, with a daily admission of about 3000 people). Then we had to wait for someone to leave before we could enter. We managed to get in line by eight-thirty, and I was incredibly lucky today. When we descended the mountain after ten, it started pouring rain, and Celestial Capital Peak was closed. I'm glad we started early and got to experience it because we were specifically there for Celestial Capital Peak, which was a definite part of our itinerary. So we climbed it when we had the most energy. The route was
Huangshan South Gate - Ci Guang Pavilion, towards Yuping Cableway entrance - Yuping Cableway ascent - Welcoming Guests Pine - Celestial Capital Peak - Welcoming Guests Pine - Sea of Clouds, Bright Summit Peak - Bright Summit Peak - Cloud Valley Cableway descent
The whole journey took about 8 hours to complete. The cableway closed at five-thirty in the afternoon, and we got on the cableway to descend the mountain around five. If you don't need to climb Celestial Capital Peak, you can just go from Welcoming Guests Pine to Bright Summit Peak. The logic is to ascend the front mountain and descend the back mountain. In that case, it should take about 5 hours to finish. It's really exhausting; my legs were so weak from climbing. The paths in Huangshan are the kind that go up and down, which is quite torturous, haha. I won't be climbing Huangshan again for the next few months.

Only after arriving at Tiandu Peak did I realize how perilous it is
Tiandu Peak wasn't open yet, and the view online is completely different from seeing it in person. It's really steep, and I can't imagine if I would dare to walk if I were standing on top. The platform opposite Tiandu Peak is great for taking photos with cool poses, and you should take more since the weather is unpredictable. If it rains or gets foggy, the photos won't look as good.
The Welcoming Pine is extremely crowded with tourist groups coming up by cable car. There are so many uncles and aunties, it's really packed. You have to queue up to take photos of the Welcoming Pine, but it's beautiful and truly priceless.
Continuing from the Welcoming Pine towards the Bright Summit, with many tour groups, it's basically a queue to walk. There are those who stop to take various photos, so remember to look ahead and if it's not moving, just excuse yourself and pass by. The journey is long, and the worst is when it rains. Despite the forecast for Huangshan being cloudy, it rained, so I immediately put on a raincoat. There are few people wearing short sleeves or tank tops on the mountain; most are wearing jackets. There is a temperature difference on the mountain. It must have been the Hundred Steps Ladder, which is very narrow and steep, so it got congested. It took about half an hour to get through the queue, and some people were shouting for those ahead to hurry up. But if they could move, they definitely would; if not, there must be a reason.
There are two paths at the One-Line Sky; One-Line Sky is very steep, so proceed according to your ability. The slower one is the Aoyu Peak. There are two forks at Aoyu Peak. The leftmost path is gentler and a bit roundabout, but less tiring. A friend climbed Aoyu Peak and said it was rocky and a bit slippery in the rain. Two others climbed One-Line Sky, and they must be really fit.
The rain kept falling, and I wanted to shout for a sedan chair carrier, but alas, my purse was light. I envied those sitting on top. After a very long walk, we reached the food plaza and saw the sign for the Cloud Valley Cableway, deciding to take the cableway down the mountain. It was really cold and tiring in the rain, and with the heavy fog, I didn't even want to take out my phone.
On the way to the Cloud Valley Cableway, due to the ups and downs of the mountain path, I was really exhausted. The sign showed 250 meters left, and after descending, it showed 160 meters left, which was a bit despairing. I continued walking, and after about half an hour, I finally arrived. The cableway was quick, but due to the heavy fog, I saw nothing, as if I was ascending to heaven. Once at the foot of the mountain, there was no rain or fog.
Taking the bus down the mountain, because it was a winding road, I really felt nauseous. I was swaying all the way, and even if I wasn't dizzy, I became dizzy. It came up to my throat, so we got off at Tangkou Bridge. We sat by the roadside for a while to rest, then walked down the stairs and went to have a meal without being hungry. After eating, we waited for friends who couldn't make it down the mountain. They descended around 4:30 PM. At Monkey Watching the Sea, we could only see fog, but at the exit of the mountain, we saw real monkeys.
The most important thing is, at first, I thought the water sold on the mountain was expensive, but later I encountered the porters, who looked quite old. It's really hard work, and in that moment, I understood the prices on the mountain. They carry everything up the entire way. I felt even two bottles of water were heavy. Respect!

Return from Mount Huang - One must climb Mount Huang at least once!
Mount Huang's Celestial Capital Peak is set to reopen!
Celestial Capital Peak, located in the southeast of Mount Huang, faces Lotus Peak to the west and connects with Pot Peak to the east. It is one of the 36 major peaks, with an altitude of 1810 meters. It was anciently known as 'the gathering place of immortals,' implying a heavenly assembly, hence the name 'Celestial Capital Peak.'
The peak is characterized by its strong and upright bones, standing out from the ground, steep and majestic, with a grand aura. Among the peaks of Mount Huang, it is the most magnificent and splendid. Together with Lotus Peak and Bright Summit, it is known as one of the three main peaks of Mount Huang. In ancient times, there were no paths to the summit of Celestial Capital Peak, making it difficult to reach the top. According to the mountain records, in the Tang Dynasty, the monk Dao Yun braved thousands of dangers and climbed the cliffs from the east side to reach the summit for the first time.

It is anticipated that many stubborn friends will attempt the treacherous climb of Celestial Capital Peak (safety must be prioritized). Be prepared to conquer Huangshan's first peak of 2024.
📍Celestial Capital Peak
It is the third highest peak of Huangshan, known as the 'Capital of Heaven', with steps leading to the top at a steep incline of at least 70 to 80 degrees, and there is only a single one-way path to ascend.
🏞Route to Celestial Capital Peak
Depart from Yupinglou - Penglai Three Islands - Crossing the Immortal Bridge - Careful Slope - Old Trail Entrance of Celestial Capital Peak (descend for 15 minutes) - Climb from the Old Trail Entrance to the peak (all steep ascents, totaling 1584 steps, with the perilous Carp's Back, approximately 75 minutes required) - Depart from the top of Celestial Capital Peak via the new southern slope trail - New Trail Entrance of Celestial Capital Peak (descend for 90 minutes, totaling 2175 steps) - Halfway Temple (descend for 15 minutes) - Limabridge - Ciguang Pavilion Transfer Center (descend for 60 minutes)

👉If you only want to climb Celestial Capital Peak, a one-day trip is sufficient. If you also want to visit other attractions such as the West Sea Grand Canyon or others, a two-day trip or longer is recommended.
👉Celestial Capital Peak is not recommended for children, the elderly, those with a fear of heights, or those in poor health! A sincere reminder!
👉Huangshan is rainy in spring, so bring an umbrella or raincoat for your trip, but do not use an umbrella on the mountaintop due to strong winds.
👉'Not climbing Celestial Capital Peak is like making a trip in vain.' Many people want to challenge Celestial Capital Peak, but safety is paramount during the trip. The climb is truly treacherous, and it can make your legs go weak, so everyone must pay attention to safety.

Everyone knows that Huangshan is a wonder of the world, but only a small number of people can experience his best part every day. This part of the essence is concentrated in the first peak of Huangshan Tiandu Peak! The upslope with a large dip angle needs to be used both hands and feet. The stone steps that have been cut out are not as wide as my 41 yards. The strong wind on the back of the squid is chilling. All the people are climbing and squatting! But... until the summit, when the summit is small, everything is worth it! It is also because the risk factor is high and the physical exertion is large, so the tour group will not come at all.

Anhui Huangshan is one of the most popular tourist destinations in China. It is said that the return of Wuyue does not look at the mountains. The return of Huangshan does not look at Yue. Huangshan has become famous all over the world. Now many foreign friends will come here. The three major peaks of Huangshan Mountain are the highest in the lotus peak, the second in Guangming, and the third in Tiandu. Although Tiandu Peak is the third peak of Huangshan Mountain, it is the first peak of Huangshan Mountain. The road is difficult to walk, and the danger is extremely high. This is a sentence that tourists after the Tiandu Peak will say. The stairs of the Heavenly Peak are very steep, and the width of the stone steps is not enough. Every climber uses both hands and feet, and when he reaches the summit, he feels particularly proud. After climbing the stone steps, you can climb the top of the squid. The squid's back is 10 meters long and only 1 meter wide. The cliffs on both sides are unfathomable. When the clouds roll, it is like the squid back exposed outside the water, hence the name squid back. Standing on Tiandu Peak, it is like standing on a 360-degree viewing platform without a dead end. It is surrounded by mountains and small mountains. The mountain wind is blowing, and you can see the clouds and seas.
