Since 1998, experts from the European Union have conducted monitoring in Tianxiang Garden for several consecutive years. In 2000, Tianxiang Garden was designated by the EU as an 'Urban Migratory Bird Ecological Environment Research Base'. Tianxiang Garden covers an area of 84 hectares. In areas with minimal human disturbance, trees such as Chinese fir, betel nut, Chinese elm, and broussonetia act as the dominant species, forming a semi-natural, semi-artificial plant community that combines grass, shrub, and tree layers, and provides a good habitat for birds.
