2025 Suva Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in April)

It was a trip to Fiji, just to share some of my favorite places to visit and restaurants. I would definitely recommend you to visit Mamanuca Islands 🏝️ The Mamanuca Islands are a beautiful archipelago known for their stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant coral reefs. If you are a snorkeling 🤿 lover, this is a perfect place for snorkeling, diving, and water sports. 📍Mamanuca Islands, Fiji (accessible via boat or seaplane from Port Denarau). If you were to visit there, I would highly recommend you to try Cloud 9 Fiji. They served mainly Wood-fired pizza and seafood platter. All the food were good! Do also try out their tropical cocktails 🍹 💰FJD 50-150 per person 📍Cloud 9, Ro Ro Reef, Mamanuca Islands, Fiji I would also suggest you to visit Suva (Capital City)🏙️. Suva is the cultural and political heart of Fiji. You can also explore the Fiji Museum to learn about the country’s rich history, or explore the Thurston Gardens. You may also visit vibrant markets, colonial architecture, and try out local eateries ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 📍Suva, Viti Levu, Fiji Besides, I would also suggest you to explore Nadi. It is a bustling town and a gateway to Fiji’s islands. You can check out the Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple, a vibrant Hindu temple, and also explore the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, which showcases a vast collection of orchids and tropical plants🪴 📍Nadi, Viti Levu, Fiji If you were to visited, you can also check out a restaurant, Tu’s Place. The environment was very good and they serve fijian curry, grilled fish, lovo (Fijian-style barbecue). It is famous for its stunning beaches, lush rainforests, and cultural experiences. The Grand Pacific Hotel is just that :'GRAND'. You can sit by the pool taking in the beautiful scenery across the Suva Bay and have an afternoon tea party on the beautiful balcony while admiring the flowers. Theres a Bula Bar , Function Rooms that can host entire formal occasions and luxurious guest rooms. The hotel is situated in the middle of the Main City Area and within walking distance to local city areas. Beautiful is the Grand Pacific Hotel 🌟

Holiday Inn hotel is just right outside on the edge of town- close enough to be near all the various shops and malls but also far enough to be away from all the town noise and traffic etc!! it’s the perfect location if you want peace and convenience in Suva. We ordered a 12-inch four cheese pizza and it was amazing!! the prices are not too bad, and with all the cheeses and fillings on the pizza, youre full within only a few bites🤩 We also got some chai latte; it tasted SO GOOD that we just had to ask for a second round- it’s literally so yum. #pizza #food #afternoon #pool #hotel #fiji

Grand Pacific hotel has an amazing range of cakes and cheesecakes for only $10 a piece!! You can grab a slice from the bakery in the front and walk over to the back and look for a table by the poolside to sit and enjoy your desert with a beautiful view of everything and nice breeze. You can also order a drink or anything off the menu that you can scan from the qr code to view. GPH is a cozy place to enjoy good company and good bites #dessert #icecoffee #views

A bunch of us went fishing along the seawall in Suva, and the cool thing is it’s right in the middle of town but in a nice secluded area where it’s private enough to sit and fish peacefully but also is in a path where just enough people walk by, making it feel safe. It was my first time ever going fishing and I managed to catch my first fish which was so exciting!!! Although it was the only fish I caught in about a whole hour of sitting there, the actual act of fishing was so relaxing and peaceful- good for my mental. I highly recommend fishing at this spot behind Thurston garden because it’s safe, it’s comfortable, has good breeze, and you get to meet a lot of great people who pass by as you fish. This location is also really convenient because it’s close to the shops and to the main road. And as you can see, all you’ll need is a hook, line, bait and any old bottle to get your fishing game on🤩 #fishing #passingtime #relaxing

Location of this place is so awesome! Just like 15 minutes away from Suva itself. Really easy and relatively cheap to reach it with taxi or local cars. Roads are in good condition, but do NOT think you can walk through the paths without getting your shoes muddy and wet. Rains are very often in here. There is a lot of a small waterfalls and beatiful creeks to take pictures and selfies. Mostly bigger waterfalls are crowded with locals and also mostly teenagers. swimming also totally nice and relaxing. please take care of your belongingwhile swim. It might disappear sometimes 😄. Our local friend also told us to hire a guide for walkthrough, so that those teens could't rob us on our way. I am not sure but most of the local were nice and kind. In almost every corner of the South Pacific Resort, the original island style is revealed. Walking into the resort away from the world, several employees wearing traditional costumes slammed the snails above the lagoon and gently hit the wooden drums. Afterwards, several companions held flower garlands and walked through the wooden promenades to meet the tourists from afar, offering refreshing tea. GPH an easy 10 minute walk to the city centre. The King Room is clean and comfortable with a peaceful view of the water. The hotel has dining and bar options with a beautiful pool area overlooking the water, a perfect spot to watch the sunset with a glass of wine as ships sail past. Enjoy the perfect taste, and then listen to the folks with flowers on the head to play a happy folk song, Nanuku's life is so comfortable, a perfect interpretation of what is called "happiness." Nanuku not only has the original ecological environment, but also is an excellent choice to experience the local culture. In the slightly gloomy morning, accompanied by the cool sea breeze, walk through the hotel inside and outside. In the private and comfortable resort, the staff will always have a big smile. Step out of the hotel and walk shortly into the local villages and talk to the villagers as they please. Even though these pristine people live a different lifestyle from the resort. What is constant is the sincere Fijian smile. Back to Nanuku, the warm and cordial greetings echoed again in the ear, and the short-lived distinction seemed to return to the familiar home again. Soak in the bar, order a drink, chat with people, and life becomes fun again. The night fell again, and the lights in the restaurant looked a little dark. The twinkling candlelight creates an incomparable romantic atmosphere. And the beloved is whispering here, and the air is filled with happiness.

The green rice fields surround the quiet village, and the residents ride on the horses and walk along the road. Here, the original pure Fijian life is still maintained. Daily time, from the hot sun at noon, until the sunset is gradually softened, there are no tourists on the road, and even local vehicles rarely pass. Occasionally passing a car full of students, the children enthusiastically shouted out the window, the shepherd boy riding a horse, going to the distant forest to pick up firewood, always ask for the road, always give enthusiasm Patience explanations, and through many charming small villages, people seem to be leisurely. I like this way of traveling as I like, without planning restrictions, the journey is always full of too many unknowns, but there are countless unexpected and wonderful, so slowly, feel the island Feel the customs and feel their happy life. A simple country school, a teenager who is schooling, is playing rugby in the playground in front of the school building. Regardless of living conditions, Fijians madness and obsession with football are incredible. Because there is very little contact with outsiders, the teenagers here are somewhat subtle. However, after a simple conversation, they will become warm and cheerful. When I said goodbye, I kept waving my hands and shouting "BYE BYE".
