It's not Shaoxing, it's Fuzhou
It's not Shaoxing, it's Fuzhou
I can also go boating on the lake in my great Fuzhou!
I had no intention of being like Jiangnan, but Jiangnan has entered my heart.
Sitting on the Fuzhou boat decorated with lotus flowers, facing the spring breeze and shuttling on the Yingfu Bridge and Rongyue Lake of the ancient town, going to a spring feast together, is the romance of Fuzhou people on weekends, right?
The Min-style buildings on both sides of the strait are endless, high and low, even the willow trees on the shore that have just sprouted new buds have become gentle, and the swallows gently glide over the bow of the boat, afraid of disturbing my thoughts. At that moment, I thought I had broken into a landscape painting... Just as I was intoxicated between the mountains and rivers, the petals in the sky broke the calm picture, accompanied by the beginning of the flower tide festival, the full screen of Jiangnan atmosphere is coming

October, South Hou Street, Fuzhou
South Hou Street in Fuzhou starts from the west at Yangqiao intersection, and ends in the south at the intersection of Jibi Lane and Macau Road, with a total length of about 1000 meters. It is the central axis of the 'Three Lanes and Seven Alleys' in Fuzhou city. There are seven alleys on its east side and three lanes on its west side. It was the main commercial street from the rise of the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys in Fuzhou to the Republic of China period, with merchants gathered from north to south. South Hou Street is the central axis of the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys. The renovated South Hou Street will be full of ancient charm, and the width of the road will reach 12 meters, including a 7-meter-wide pedestrian street. South Hou Street, which starts from Yangqiao Road and ends at Jibi Road, is only 634 meters long. It is a leisure and cultural commercial street that combines tradition and modernity. Unfortunately, the old South Hou Street and some of the surrounding buildings were demolished from 2007 to 2009, and most of the existing buildings are replicas. With the construction of the new South Hou Street, many modern businesses have also entered this ancient area.
Now it is mainly about eating and drinking, which is quite suitable for the new generation.

Fuzhou Sanfang Seven Lanes to eat all Raiders h
Fuzhou Sanfang Qixiang originated in the Jin Dynasty, covering an area of about 40 hectares, consisting of three squares, seven lanes and a central axis Street South Street. The three squares are Yijinfang, Wenrufang and Guanglufang; Qizhixiang are Yangqiao Lane, Langguan Lane, Taxiang, Huangxiang, Anmin Lane, Gongxiang and Jipi Lane. The ancient layout of the alleys has remained largely intact.
The general tour of Sanfangqixiang is: South Back Street Gate, along the South Back Street, from left to right, you can visit Langguan Lane and Tower Lane. Tower Lane, turn right and buy a cup of Starbucks, and continue to swim in Huangxiang and Yijinfang with coffee. You can't miss the Shoushan Stone Carving Hall and Zong Taozhai. After swimming through these, you will find a few old Fuzhou snacks and fish balls in the central area of South Back Street. Fill your stomach and continue to visit Wenrufang and Anmin Lane. The focus of the tour is on Wenrufang, stop and take a look, and turn right to the Fujian Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo. Finally, visit the Palace Lane, Guanglufang, Jipi Lane. At the end of the South Back Street, there is a fixed photo at the stone monument of Sanfangqixiang, and the three squares and seven lanes are finished. If you walk along the three squares and seven lanes like the above position, you cant see why you cant see it. The real way to go is to pick one or two more interesting squares and go shopping. A house, as small as one brick and one watt.

Ann一人遊.
I stayed in Fuzhou for one night. The time was short. I didn't know where to go. My friend took me to Sanfangqixiang. Similar to Chengdu Kuanzhai Alley. In addition to tourists and locals often go there, there are food to buy, here Fuzhou ancient buildings and antique buildings have a taste, I took a mobile phone to take a picture. Now there are such places all over the country. Although there are many traces of artificial carving, it is also a good place to take pictures.
Old Lake Walker.
Fuzhou was built in 202 BC. It has a long history, nicknamed Yucheng. The most common natural thing on the street is the banyan tree, which is just a landscape.
And to Fuzhou, every time you will definitely arrive, it is the three squares and seven lanes.
Sanfang Qixiang is a national 5A-level tourist scenic spot. It is the only remaining part of Fuzhou Old Town after demolition and construction. It is precious and precious. This is the historical source and cultural root of Fuzhou.
Every time I go to Sanfangqixiang, I always enter from South Back Street, thinking about whether I will go in the next lane.
To a place, as a senior foodie, what is the first thing to do, probably to find an old name to eat and eat.
What's more, going in from the South Back Street, did not walk a few steps, is the old name of the pavement.
Tongli meat swallow, the store is not big, just a few tables and chairs, but it has been a crowd of people, everyone will end a bowl, sit on the bench outside to eat, so there are many places where Sanfangqixiang can sit There is no big problem. The same is true of
Yonghe Fish Ball.
meat swallow, fish balls are really not enough.
meat swallow's swallow skin is hand-made, the skin is transparent, tenacious, Q-slip is smooth, a bowl is not enough.
Fish pill skin is made with fish and there is stuffing inside. It is the baguette fish ball that we said. It tastes delicious and has a good aftertaste.
I am greedy, I can finish the soup.
There are also meat swallows and fish balls in the double fight, too lazy to go to the two stores, you can complete the task of eating in a store.

Explore the best of Fuzhou and enjoy a feast for both your taste buds and eyes.
Hidden in the bustling Dongbai Center is a hidden gem where you can enjoy both delicious food and beautiful views - Shan Huan Huan Hot Pot! 👀🍽️ Here, you can not only overlook the ancient Sanfang Qixiang, but also taste the delicious dishes that are unforgettable.
🍲 Speaking of hot pot, how can you not mention the fairy-like nine-second beef? It only takes nine seconds for the beef to be perfectly tender. Paired with a special sauce, every bite is an ultimate enjoyment! The three crispy vegetables, tribute vegetables, dried radishes, and dried cucumbers are a perfect combination, crispy and delicious, making people want to stop.
🌿 What's even more surprising is that the ingredients here are so fresh that they seem to have just been picked from the field. Fresh chestnuts, dried cucumbers, ginger melons... A pot of boiled, as if the whole nature's freshness is condensed here.
🥤 Of course, in addition to hot pot, those special drinks are also highlights that cannot be missed. Coriander lemon tea, Zheergen Zhengshan small seed rice milk tea... Each one is unique, greasy and refreshing, and it is a perfect match with hot pot!
📝 In general, Shan Huan Huan Hot Pot is not only a feast for the taste, but also a visual and spiritual enjoyment. Come here and let your taste buds and beauty dance together! 💃

Fuzhou Sanfang Qixiang | Wenru Shuxiang Homestay.
【Location】A friend from Fuzhou recommended this homestay. It's in a great location. We drove to the parking lot 🅿️ opposite Wenru Fang in Sanfang Qixiang, then crossed the road and walked 100 meters to the entrance of the homestay. Very convenient!
【Environment】The style is antique. The most amazing thing is the large fish pond in the courtyard. The carp in it are all big. The staff also arranged a fish feeding session for the children. The children liked it very much!
【Facilities】You can make tea in the room. There are complimentary tea bags, tea snacks, and a mini bar. The breakfast is also very good, but I forgot to take a picture, which is a pity.
I like the overall style and will come again next time! !!

Foodies, are you ready?
As soon as I got off the train in Fuzhou, I headed straight to the Zhu Guangyu Hot Pot Restaurant. This time, it once again refreshed my food map!
🔥【Four-in-one hot pot】🔥
To be honest, the new four-in-one hot pot is a blessing for those who have difficulty making choices! The sweetness of tomatoes, the mellow corn bone soup, the explosive spicy beef, the elegant mushroom soup, and the pure clear water pot are waiting for you to play freely. Enjoy four flavors in one pot, it is simply the "symphony" of the hot pot world!
🦐【Lobster shrimp, a paradise for coriander lovers】🦐
The key point is that the lobster shrimp, every bite is an ultimate tease to the taste buds! The coriander flavor is even better, crispy and refreshing, making people want to stop. Foodies, promise me, this dish must be locked!
🐟【Amber black fish, tender to the heart】🐟
The fish slices are as thin as cicada wings, and they melt in the mouth. The tenderness of the amber black fish makes me scream! It is a perfect match with any hot pot, so you don't have to worry about stepping on thunder.
🍧【Dessert ice, spicy artifact】🍧
How can you eat hot pot without dessert? The sweetness of pistachio ice, the mellow black sugar oolong ice, every bite is a perfect neutralization of the hot pot. There is also the ancient winter melon tea, sweet and greasy, it is simply a clear stream in summer.
🍮【Green bean ada, the perfect ending】🍮
End this food feast, come with a sticky green bean ada, sweet and not greasy, and draw a perfect end to this meal.
🔥Zhu Guangyu Hot Pot Restaurant (Sanfang Qixiang Store), once satisfied all your fantasies about hot pot! But remember, although the food is delicious, you need to be patient in line~

DAY1️⃣ Fuzhou Station➡️All Seasons Hotel➡️Three Lanes and Seven Alleys➡️Yantai Mountain
We stayed at the All Seasons Hotel on Wuyi North Road. Overall, it was pretty good. The All Seasons hotels we stayed at during previous trips usually had a green tea or red tea scent, which we liked, but this one had a cumin grilled meat smell on the fifth floor, kind of like body odor? The room itself was fine though. 😗😗🫡
The first stop was Three Lanes and Seven Alleys. We dropped off our luggage and went straight to lunch.
· Wangzhuang Ami: Three dishes for two people, total ¥145
Captain's Fish Dumplings 👍👍👍👍👍👍 The filling inside the fish dumplings was delicious, and the skin had a bit of chewiness, different from regular dumpling skins, very tasty!!
Lychee Pork 👍👍👍 Actually, it felt like another version of sweet and sour pork? It seemed to have sweet potatoes inside. Eating too much can be cloying, but not eating it makes you crave it.
Sea Clam Omelette 😩 Honestly, OMG, I think it shouldn't be like this. It was very wet and bland, and it wasn't the egg-heavy type seen online. Instead, it had more clams and could only be eaten with the sauce, otherwise, it was really hard to eat.
After that, we strolled around Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, stopping and walking. There were many alleys, and we learned about its history, but it was super crowded. Later, we went to Dongbai for a bit, which is a large shopping mall similar to in77.
The second stop was Yantai Mountain. It seemed to be a 9-minute subway ride? I forgot (Oh right! Recently, Fuzhou's subway rides are free! The people of Fuzhou are so kind).
We seemed to have gone up from the foot of the mountain, then zigzagged down again? Everyone should wear comfortable shoes to play here. When we reached Yantai Mountain Commercial Street, we originally wanted to eat at Cui Jiang's, but it was too crowded, so we opted for takeout (only Ele.me delivery was available. Later, it rained heavily, and the delivery was half an hour late, but I think it's understandable, given the thunderstorm. The food was still hot when it arrived. 😉😉) ¥71
We chose to go back via the road through Jiefang Bridge. Because of some construction, we took a huge detour past Jiefang Bridge. It was beautiful when lit up at night, and then it started pouring rain.
Special Hotel Edition (The rain was too heavy, so we ordered takeout)
· Tang Mo Cha Xi ¥28 A must-try 👍👍👍👍👍
(Happy) Very fragrant pistachio flavor, I love it!
(Mo Lv Sheng Xiang) Also very fragrant
· Cui Jiang The taste is very special, Langweixian is really a unique flavor, but I couldn't handle more than three pieces. Half a portion is definitely enough for two people.
👍👍👍👍
DAY2️⃣ Hotel➡️Lao Ge's Home Cooking➡️Dongbai
It rained a bit in the morning, so we decided to order takeout and sleep in.
· Wu Ji Pan-fried Buns ¥24.3
Wow, their pan-fried buns are really as big as a fist. No wonder they sell for five yuan each. They were okay, pretty standard. I ordered a bowl of fish balls, which tasted a lot like the meatballs we have here.
· Lao Ge's Home Cooking ¥118
We ordered stir-fried intestines with wine lees, Yongtai smoked duck, and stir-fried clams. None of them were disappointing. The stir-fried intestines had a slightly salty taste with a hint of sweetness.

Take you to see a different Three Lanes and Seven Alleys
Spring of 2024
We happened to encounter a century-old fringe flower, and we were fortunate to pass by that day.
Looking through previous photos, I found that I had walked through many streets and alleys in Fuzhou with my child. Many friends saw this set of photos and couldn't help but ask me, 'Hey, why is the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys you went to different from the one I went to?' Because I like to wander through streets and alleys to discover different scenery.
That day, I took my younger brother through the alleys inside Wenru Lane, including Minwang Lane and Daguangli. In short, we went wherever there were fewer people.
🚉Transportation Guide: Subway—Dongjiekou Station—Three Lanes and Seven Alleys,
Enter the scenic area from the side of the lanes, walk through Wenru Lane, and pass through Minwang Lane—Daguangli
📍Detailed Address: Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, Fuzhou City
🍽Dining Recommendation: Qilin Bookstore

Fuzhou·Three Lanes and Seven Alleys
Three Lanes and Seven Alleys can be said to be the number one must-visit internet-famous spot in Fuzhou.
The scenic area is located in the Gulou District, with Nanhou Street as the central axis. On one side are the Three Lanes—Guanglu Lane, Wenru Lane, and Yijin Lane; on the other side are the Seven Alleys—Gubi Alley, Gong Alley, Anmin Alley, Huang Alley, Ta Alley, Langguan Alley, and Yangqiao Alley, covering an area of 45 hectares.
According to official sources, the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys originated in the Jin Dynasty, took shape during the Tang and Five Dynasties, and reached their peak in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. To this day, the ancient lanes and alleys have largely retained their original appearance and are said to be on the tentative list for World Heritage status.

🥤 Hu Jian (Local milk tea! It's okay, just try it)
4⃣️ Yantai Mountain:
Commercial pedestrian street, so things (small quantity·high appearance·high price·average taste) but the decoration style of each store is great👍 Perfect for: taking photos, enjoying the evening breeze, listening to street singers, strolling the city, relaxing the mind, super cool. Unknowingly, it was already 23:00 when I returned to the hotel.

⚠️When going to the most beautiful corner, be sure to bring mosquito repellent spray!! There are really too many mosquitoes and they are very vicious! The area is surrounded by grass and trees, making it easy to get bitten!

Fuzhou· A Blessed Land|||
|||. Fuzhou is located at the lower reaches of the Min River and is an important coastal city in China that is open to the outside world. It is known as the 'City of Romance'. The narrow and mottled ancient alleys, the tranquil century-old temples, and the scattered historic residences of famous people all reveal the profound culture of old Fuzhou and the serene and quiet lifestyle of its residents.
Classic Three-Day Tour:
Day1: Sanfang Qixiang — Christian Huaxiang Church — Nanhou Street — Shangxiahang Zhongping Road — Laoyaozhou Street
Day2: Shicuo Church — South China Women's University of Arts and Science — West Lake Park — Daming Road — Fudao
Day3: Pingtan Island Day Trip or leisurely stroll and coffee in the old foreign buildings of Cangshan District
Attractions:
📍Sanfang Qixiang
The neighborhood is crisscrossed with lanes and alleys paved with stone slabs. The window carvings of the residences are made with hollowed-out fine carvings and are joined together, with rich decorative patterns that can be seen everywhere, reflecting the residential craftsmanship and characteristics of ancient Fuzhou, known as the 'Museum of Ancient Architecture from the Ming and Qing Dynasties'.
📍Shangxiahang
The neighborhood of Shanghang Road and Xiahang Road in Fuzhou's Taijiang District, also known as 'Shuanghang'. It is a traditional neighborhood with a strong Fuzhou culture of Chinese and Western architectural integration and typical Min merchant cultural characteristics.
📍Fuzhou National Forest Park
The forest park contains national first-class protected rare plants, such as the 'living fossil' Metasequoia and the 'Chinese dove tree' Davidia involucrata, and is known as Fuzhou's largest natural oxygen bar.
📍Gushan
Fuzhou's Buddhist holy land, the Yongquan Temple halfway up the mountain is the most important attraction of Gushan. The temple's thousand-year-old iron tree, chicken-feather wood offering table, and blood scripture are collectively known as the 'Three Treasures' that guard the mountain. At the peak, there is a huge rock that is flat like a drum, and it is said that when the wind and rain come, it makes a rumbling sound, hence the name Gushan (Drum Mountain).
📍Yantai Mountain Park: Fuzhou's version of the 'World Architecture Museum', where citizens practice Tai Chi in the morning and stroll through the night scene in the evening. The mountain scenery blends with the city, and the cultural neighborhood is composed of various foreign buildings and historical sites. With the characteristics of being 'quiet yet lively', this place is suitable for walking and also for sharing good times with friends.
