Oktoberfest in Munich 🍻🇩🇪 A lifetime experience
#oktoberfest
Oktoberfest, the world's largest Volksfest, featuring a beer festival and a travelling carnival, and is held annually in Munich, Bavaria, from mid-/late-September to the first Sunday in October, with more than six million international and national visitors attending the event. The Bavarian beer festival is now celebrated around the globe but the best and funniest is still at its original home Munich.
This year is the 189th festival year and the event is held from September 21, 2024 to October 6, 2024. Everyone is wearing traditional Bavarian clothes in green hats. The beer is served in a “mass”, which is one litre of beer each glass! The beer is specially brewed with 6% of alcohol. But more options and alcohol-free beer are also available.
If you plan to visit Germany, I highly suggest that you go during Oktoberfest time! Reservations are required.

Theresienwiese, a vast open space in Munich, is best known as the site of the world-famous Oktoberfest. Every autumn, this area transforms into a bustling festival ground, drawing millions of visitors from around the globe. Even outside of Oktoberfest, Theresienwiese is worth a visit for its historical significance and as a location for various events throughout the year. The nearby Bavaria statue, an imposing bronze figure that overlooks the grounds, symbolizes the strength and independence of Bavaria. Visitors can even climb inside the statue for a unique view over the park. For those who can’t attend Oktoberfest, Theresienwiese offers a sense of Munich’s celebratory spirit and deep-rooted traditions, making it a must-have in any traveler’s Munich journal.

My First Munich Oktoberfest
#2024wish
I have heard about Oktoberfest many times but never had the chance to attend it even though I did come to Germany. I am thrilled to have the chance to attend Oktoberfest when I was in Munich Germany. The whole spectacle was much bigger and livelier than I thought. It's a pity that we didn't get to sit inside the tent.
In 2024, I hope to come Munich again with my wife to attend Oktoberfest.
