This hotel is a great choice for budget travelers and students.
I've always wanted to stay here when I visited Wenzhou, and I finally got the chance during the National Day holiday. I stayed in an Executive King Room.
Room amenities 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Overall, the room was nice and comfortable, although I didn't sleep well. 😅 The room was clean, but I found it unreasonable that the minibar water was charged. The free drinking water was average. The air conditioning was noisy at night, but it was too stuffy without it.
Dining 🌟🌟🌟🌟 I tried the executive lounge, which had a nice view of Nantang. The happy hour cocktails were delicious (hence the four stars), but the service was lacking. It was hard to find glasses, and the food wasn't replenished quickly, but I was full. Breakfast was disappointing. I had to queue at 8:30 am, but they did ask if I wanted coffee or tea, which was nice. The food was average, and the staff seemed busy. I wanted to take a coffee to go, but the queue was too long, so I went to Luckin Coffee instead.
Service 🌟🌟🌟 The welcome fruit was delivered at 10 pm when I was about to sleep. There was no one at the executive lounge front desk, and the instant coffee and tea were hidden in a drawer. The turndown service wasn't done, and it took me a while to find the elevator. However, the night view was beautiful, so I might try the Marriott next time.
I don't like luxurious or business hotels, but this one was cozy! I was upgraded to the 47th floor, which was private. The bedding was nice, but the wooden cabinets looked old. The TV didn't have screen mirroring or on-demand services, but it had international channels like CNBC and HBO. Breakfast was plentiful, with a wide variety of Western and Chinese options. I recommend having breakfast if you stay here. Avoid the 52nd-floor bar food. I almost cried because they didn't have what I wanted, and the food was terrible. I thought 88 yuan for six chicken wings was a good deal, but they were awful. I also ordered pork chops, but I didn't eat them (I felt bad for wasting money). The drinks were okay. I ordered a Godfather, which was sweet and strong, just as I like it. I paid 1,120 yuan, which was reasonable. I was happy with my stay at the Westin in Wenzhou. I recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Check the room types carefully when booking. I hate spending money on a mediocre experience. The fluffy slippers were comfortable and cute. They also delivered a fruit platter in the morning, which was a nice touch. It's worth staying here, even for one night. There were many foreigners at the hotel, and they all had breakfast early.
