I like Wenzhou, mainly because of the food. This time, I stayed at the Westin, which is said to be the best hotel in Wenzhou. The room rate was about CNY 1,100 per night. I stayed in a room on a high floor with a great view. The design is nice. The room itself is nothing special, but the corridors and stairs are quite impressive. The welcome gift was nice. There was a variety of fruit and Evian water. There was also some body oil on the bedside table, but I didn't know how to use it. There was also Chinese tea in the room, which made me feel like I was staying at an Atour Hotel. The room was comfortable. Westin is not a luxury brand, but the massage was good, although I didn't try it. I didn't try the executive lounge or breakfast because there was so much good food in Wenzhou, so I won't comment on them. There is a Hong Art Museum on 5F, but it was closed for exhibition setup when I visited, so I didn't have a chance to go in. The bedding was nice, but the wooden cabinets looked old. The TV didn't have screen mirroring or on-demand services, but it had international channels like CNBC and HBO. Breakfast was plentiful, with a wide variety of Western and Chinese options. I recommend having breakfast if you stay here. Avoid the 52nd-floor bar food. I almost cried because they didn't have what I wanted, and the food was terrible. I thought 88 yuan for six chicken wings was a good deal, but they were awful. I also ordered pork chops, but I didn't eat them (I felt bad for wasting money). The drinks were okay. I ordered a Godfather, which was sweet and strong, just as I like it. I paid 1,120 yuan, which was reasonable. I was happy with my stay at the Westin in Wenzhou. I recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Check the room types carefully when booking. The Westin I've stayed at had the best hardware, it felt like staying at a St. Regis.
