This hotel is in a very strategic location next to the skytrain bts station asok and the underground mrt station sukhumvit. This hotel offers a great view from the top of the observation platform. Next to the hotel there are many shopping malls like the terminal 21 with its amazing foodcourt and also the Soi Cowboy street famous for the nightlife and dance shows. You can get a good deal for this international lunch buffet at the Seasonal Tastes Restaurant of the Westin Grande Sukhumvit Hotel via Line Shopping. I bought mine for only 1,150 baht. You can sit from noon to 2.30 pm. I think this buffet is only available on Fridays and Saturdays. Although, the day of my visit there wasn't a Japanese food station, the staff nicely offered me and my friend a huge selection of sushi and sashimi. I love the salmon items the most. After my first visit to Bangkok ten years ago, I stayed at this Westin Grande on Sukhumvit. I've stayed there many times since, and I've always loved its super convenient location! Right next to the BTS station - next door is the famous design mall Terminal21, with a supermarket and Robinson department store on the right hand side. The convenient transportation location is truly unbeatable! And the hotel is not just about the great location! The Japanese cuisine, SPA, and buffet (both lunch and dinner are great) are also exceptional! Especially the Kisso Japanese Restaurant is very impressive - and it's great value for money! I stayed there a few times last year, and I'm back again this year - the same executive suite with a traditional decor style. Perhaps because there are many Japanese companies in the area, the hotel's style is also Japanese, especially the bathroom decor. It's for this reason that the hotel's Japanese cuisine is also very good! There's no need to say much about the convenient location of the Sukhumvit business district in Bangkok - the BTS Sukhumvit Line connects all the major areas of Bangkok, and it's the only rail transit line that allows transfers to both the MRT Line 1, BTS Line 2, and the Airport Rail Link.
