[2025 Frankfurt Stay] Travel Guide for The Westin Grand Frankfurt (Updated Feb)

The location is great, right on a commercial street, with a subway station nearby and a row of taxis at the door. It's a 20-minute walk from the train station (a bustling commercial pedestrian street) and is located in a slightly older building. The hotel was renovated a couple of years ago, so the interior facilities are very modern, the hardware is good, and you can use the Marriott app's electronic room card. Original wood furniture, simple and generous modern style, capsule coffee machine. The basic room type is also very spacious, with a large table and sofa. The hotel has a beautiful skylight atrium on the first floor, which is a bar area. The only downside is that there were not enough front desk staff when checking in at night, and I had to wait in line for 20 minutes. The attitude was okay, but a deposit was collected according to the number of days of stay. In Europe, few hotels charge a deposit, most are credit card guarantees or pre-authorizations, although the amount was not large this time, it was a bit unexpected. The hotel price is not expensive during non-exhibition periods, 150-200 euros, the same grade of hotel in other cities in Germany is 200-300, France and Italy will be more expensive. German hotels are generally reasonably priced, as long as you don't catch up with holidays and exhibitions, it's similar to domestic ones. Even in Bavaria, only a few boutique resort hotels in the mountains are expensive. Perhaps because the proportion of tourism is low and the city is not crowded, hotels are not scarce.

Westin Grand Frankfurt is conveniently located in the heart of Frankfurt and very near the shopping areas. Only 2 train stops away from the main Frankfurt Hbf. The service from the valet to the reception is superb. The room is spacious with all the required amenities. The gym is available 24/7 and has many equipments. Spa and sauna are also available for guests. I checked in during my birthday and they acknowledged that and offered a 5 hour early check in which was very much appreciated. I was super excited about this property because it just opened a few months prior after an extensive renovation ❤️ Unfortunately, my flight timing meant arriving at the hotel to a completely clinical check jn and a 3 hours wait for my room. But knowing the Grand Suite (SNA cleared) was at the end of the tunnel was a little comforting. 🥹 And what huge space it was! the mega massive space all for 1pax was overwhelming: the guest toilet, the full master bathroom (but boo to no bathtub), the extremely comfy bedroom space with walk in wardrobe, and the immense personal space in the living room. All for myself to enjoy for the next 5 nights ✅ Westin Club was somewhat lacking that same bright modern new-ish feel but as long as it covers breakfast and dinner, it’s still works for me. Breakfast spread was passable, but evening cocktails were a strange affair with overly salted items on most nights. The spacious and bright Duplex Suite with double bathrooms completely cured my prejudice against duplex suites. As long as the room facilities are adequate and the design is comfortable, climbing stairs is actually quite nice. The hotel's location is excellent. It is very close to the Konstablerwache subway station. Right next to it is the Zeil shopping street. There are also many small restaurants and shops nearby. Overall, everything is great. Unfortunately, due to a busy work schedule and tight itinerary, I spent very little time at the hotel and didn't get to use many of the amenities. Hopefully, I will have the chance to stay here again.
