A Complete Record of My Stay at Crewe Waverley Hotel, UK
Upon arriving in Crewe, I headed straight to the Waverley Hotel. It was like a hidden gem in the corner of the town, low-key yet unique. The exterior was a typical British building, with red brick walls and vintage wooden window frames, instantly transporting me back in time. As I stepped into the hotel, a warm atmosphere greeted me, and the front desk staff had a warm smile on their face. They quickly checked me in and thoughtfully introduced me to the fun places nearby.
I stayed in a superior double room, which was small but exquisitely decorated. The bed was just the right firmness, and the bedding was soft and skin-friendly, allowing me to have a sweet sleep every night. There was also a vintage desk in the room, where I would sit during my leisure time, writing my travel journal in the sunlight streaming through the window. The bathroom was clean and tidy, and the toiletries had a faint lemon scent, which was refreshing. The only downside was that the room's soundproofing was average, and I could occasionally hear footsteps in the hallway.
The hotel's restaurant brought me many surprises. The breakfast was rich in variety, with all the traditional English breakfast elements, such as sausages, bacon, and grilled tomatoes, paired with steaming coffee, starting a day full of energy. There were also various freshly baked bread and jams, and I especially liked their blueberry jam, which was sweet and sour. The dinner dishes were also very distinctive. I tried the local signature dish, stewed beef, which was tender and juicy, with a rich broth and authentic taste.
The hotel's service was top-notch. Once, I accidentally left my coat in the restaurant, and the staff contacted me immediately after finding it and carefully kept it for me. Whether it was asking for travel information or needing extra daily necessities, they always solved it enthusiastically and efficiently.
There were many places worth visiting around the hotel. A few minutes' walk would take you to the central square of Crewe, where street performers often performed, full of life. There was also a historic museum nearby, displaying many historical artifacts and materials about Crewe, giving me a deeper understanding of the town.
During my stay at the Waverley Hotel, I felt the warmth and comfort of home. Although it did not have luxurious facilities, its thoughtful service and strong sense of life made my trip to Crewe even more unforgettable.
