[2024 Hong Kong Stay] Travel Guide for The Upper House (Updated Nov)
In Hong Kong... I found my spiritual home...
In the long river of history, we ushered in a memorable moment, took our family, embarked on a journey to go, to the mysterious place where prosperity and tranquility are intertwined, a "world's best hotel ranked 5th" Hidden residence.
🌿 Meet in the clouds
The space design is as unique as a work of art, but it exudes the warmth and ease of home. The low-key front hall, the elevator without a room card, the check-in in the room... It seems to tell me that this is not a simple staycation, but a return to another city's home.
🛏️ The warmth of home
Push the door in, the time becomes slow and gentle, the window is a beautiful landscape painting, the room is warm light and soft bed and wide-angle view of the sea bathroom...
I fell in love with this check-in welcome 🎁~ Hey, even the wash bag, all thoughtful preparations.
📸 Quiet corner
From the rest area on the 6th floor, open a secret garden. Quietly watch the raindrops fall, hold a book in your hand, taste a cup of coffee, and enjoy this undisturbed tranquility.
At the height of the 38th floor, look up at the towering atrium, the bridge above the clouds, and feel the healing brought by the pool.
🧘♀️ Body and mind healing journey
Breathe, press down, stretch, and breathe again...
Pilates helped me regain my body balance, and the fascia treatment relieved my stress...
🍽️ Enjoy the taste buds
From the brunch in the garden, to the high-altitude dinner on the Victoria Harbour, or the warm stomach meal at check-in, it is a wonderful encounter with the taste buds.
🇭🇰 will punish the P people who do not do the strategy, but the home outside the home is inclusive of such casual and free travelers as me, so that we can also feel the warmth of home on the journey

Hong Kong Hotels | The bathroom is a godsend.
I've heard a lot about the Upper House and finally got to experience it when the price dropped a bit.
This is the first time I've stayed in a hotel designed by Andre Fu. From the low-key lobby to the rooms, everything is gentle and comfortable. The overall space and temperament of the room is a step up.
The bedroom and bathroom each occupy half of the room. The all-wood finish and light-colored tiles are paired with beige-gray soft furnishings. The soft lighting is very comfortable.
The bathroom is a clear winner. The layout is reasonable and thoughtful. The shower and bathtub face the large corner glass, which is both atmospheric and elegant. The mini bar offers a wide selection of free drinks every day, including local Hong Kong beer.

Hong Kong loves this bathtub so much! It's full of design sense
Room prices fluctuate with seasons and holidays.
Dear friends, please be rational when getting recommendations.
🏨Name: The Upper House
☆ I stayed in a relatively large room.
In a place like Hong Kong where every inch of land is precious, such a large space feels particularly luxurious. The overall decor of the room is simple and elegant with a natural wood style, high-end yet cozy, giving a sense of tranquility and comfort. 🛋️ The living room has a large floor-to-ceiling window with a superb view, allowing you to take in the bustling cityscape. 🌃
☆ The bathroom is also very spacious.
It is equipped with large glass panels, so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery while taking a bath 🛀🏻 or showering. It's simply too pleasant. Every corner of the room is exquisitely arranged, and you can sit anywhere to read a book, daydream, and enjoy your own quiet time. 📚
☆ The service here is impeccable.
When checking in, the staff uses an iPad to simplify the process, which is very efficient, and they are friendly and enthusiastic. There is also a dedicated person to take you to the room for check-in and to give a detailed introduction to the room's facilities, making you feel very cared for.
☆ The breakfast is also worth mentioning.
Although it's not a buffet, it is made to order, very delicate and delicious. Sitting by the window, leisurely drinking coffee ☕ and eating breakfast while looking at the scenery outside, really gives a wonderful feeling of having the world at your feet.

The Upper House
Japanese minimal style interior design, all guest rooms equipped with big window bathroom is the highlight that no other Luxury hotel has. L-sofa cozied us for reading and relieving. Good enough space for In room Yoga with provided Mat in the wardrobe. Gym room is a bit small and no swimming pool in this hotel, you can ask hotel drive you to their sister hotel in Tai KOO for swimming and take you back. Breakfast set in five style are available, but the taste is so so. Many options for dining and lunch nearby, Wan Chai

A hotel that feels like home
They say home is where the heart is, and right now my heart is at Upper House. There are few hotels as cosy and as detail-orientated as Upper House. with sleek and minimalistic decor in a spacious floor plan, the room feels as comfortable as a home environment.
Not only is the room itself impeccable in both style and cleanliness, but the service is awesome too. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by a front desk staff who quickly processed everything and had us promptly checked-in, hours early I might add. The staff then showed us to our room and introduced each section of the room to us. Yes, it was THAT big. The bathroom was hidden behind a door, and that in itself could easily have been another room in another hotel. We absolutely loved the view from the bathtub.
After we settled in, we were then brought our meal, which was simple yet top of the line. Who would have thought that fish fingers could be THAT delicious? The batter was crunchy yet not overly oily or heavy, and the fish inside was as soft and silky.#staycations
Overall, our stay was 6 stars, just like the hotel itself.

Salisterra
Salisterra, meaning salt and earth in Latin, hints a continuation of Café Gray Deluxe which closed down in 2020. This new restaurant draws inspiration from the coastal cuisines of France and Italy, led by the Michelin-starred Chef, Jun Tanaka.
Breakfast at Salisterra is definitely a top notch. It was made to order from a wide selection of cuisine ranging from chinese , Japanese, Greek to English. It also offers a wide selection of Jing teas, freshly brewed French press coffee, and cold-pressed juices as accompaniment. This exquisite relaxed dining experience was elevated by the warm earthy tones and floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing guest to indulge in the stunning panoramic sea view .

Venchi Luxurious 9-Layer Dark Chocolate Tasting Event
I recently attended the Venchi Luxurious 9-Layer Dark Chocolate Tasting Event🍫. Once you've tasted the rich, high-quality chocolate, there's no going back🤭. You can participate in this Dark Chocolate Blind Tasting event by purchasing a specified dark chocolate bar at any Venchi store in Hong Kong!
Venchi has been crafting chocolate since 1878, inspired by the Italian way of living in the moment. This time, I had the rare opportunity to taste all 9 types of dark chocolate ranging from 60% to 100% cocoa content🍫. Initially, I thought the Blind Tasting would be very challenging, but upon careful tasting, I could distinguish the unique flavors of each type. My favorite was the 75% extra dark chocolate, with its rich flavor and intense hot cocoa taste. It was absolutely delicious!💗😋
Out of the 9 types of dark chocolate, I correctly guessed 7, just missing the grand prize🥹. However, I was still happy to win an ice cream voucher, as Venchi's ice cream is also fantastic☺️🍦.
I highly recommend chocolate lovers to visit Venchi stores and try to find your favorite flavor among the 9 layers of dark chocolate!🍫

Hong Kong! I stayed at this hotel for three days!! I didn't want to check out! Who can understand me.
The Upper House Hong Kong
1️⃣The Upper House is located at the junction of Central and Wan Chai. It is a work by André Fu. The hotel opened in 2009 and is very design-oriented.
2️⃣The lobby is relatively small, but the room has a nice view and the environment is relatively quiet compared to Kowloon.
3️⃣Compared to the sea view room, I think the mountain view room has a better sense of layering. It is my favorite hotel in Hong Kong, a good place for a staycation!!!

A Taste Journey | A Lyric Poem on Hong Kong Island.
The taste of 🇭🇰 is probably only remembered in Hong Kong-style milk tea. This journey seems to open the music score of food, and the lyrical prose poem appears in the melody.
Breakfast 🍳 Morning Light Minuet
It's the 49th floor overlooking Victoria Harbour, through the dim light in the rain, and the morning awakened by the aroma of coffee. Wandering between avocado and salmon... Hey, as a 👩🏼⚕️, I love this healthy diet~
Brunch 🥩 Breeze Andante
The drizzle just stopped, the breeze was blowing, on the outdoor terrace, the energetic juice, the pan-fried shrimp, the juicy and tender steak, like a cheerful pastoral poem.
Dinner 🥂 Starlight Nocturne
Romance under the stars and candlelight, fine wine and food, family company, isn't life just like this? !
Work hard to earn money and feel life with your family~
The tastes on the journey, along with the current joy, seem to be endless romantic poems 💕
Pictures 1-5 are The Continental, a secret garden hidden in the bustling city of Central;
Pictures 6-17 are Salisterra-Mediterranean Restaurant, overlooking Victoria Harbour, produced by Michelin chef, the dishes are super good in both appearance and taste

Hong Kong | G-Dragon's favorite urban hideaway - The Upper House!
|G-Dragon's favorite urban hideaway - The Upper House!.
Hong Kong | G-Dragon's favorite urban hideaway - The Upper House. I've heard of "The Upper House" before. It's G-Dragon's "home" in Hong Kong and also the same place where Yu Shuxin stayed. I've always wanted to stay there.
It was selected as one of the top 50 hotels in the world in 2023, and "The Upper House" ranked 4th.
Located on top of Pacific Place in Admiralty, it exudes a casual luxury.
The hotel was designed by the award-winning designer Andre Fu and is highly personalized.
Not only is it conveniently located, but it also has views of the mountains and the sea in Hong Kong.
Compared to the grand lobbies of other hotels,
The lobby of "The Upper House" is small and exquisite, which is more casual.
It provides guests with a more comfortable accommodation experience.
As soon as I opened the door, I was attracted by the lush mountain view. I prefer the mountain view in Hong Kong to the sea view. The green and artistic style is quiet and healing. There is a welcome drink as usual when checking in.
I felt very chill from the moment I checked in.
My favorite part of the room is the comfortable layout.
The dressing room, bathroom, and bathroom are all reasonably divided, making them convenient and comfortable to use.
The best place to take pictures in the room is probably the separate bathroom.

This is my favorite hotel in Hong Kong!
The Upper House, Hong Kong
I stayed at The Upper House in Hong Kong for the Mid-Autumn Festival. The hotel is ranked 4th in the world's 50 best hotels in 2023. It opened in 2009 and is located in Pacific Place, Admiralty. It is in the same building as the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong. The hotel is backed by mountains and faces the sea.
The check-in process at the hotel is very interesting. I want to complain and praise at the same time. The hotel lobby is very small, like an apartment, and there is no grand front desk, only a few receptionists with iPads. Each guest will be taken to the room, and the check-in will be completed in the room while operating on the iPad. The room is quite good, very large. I booked a suite divided into 3 independent areas. I really like the design of the bathtub. The price is not cheap, and it costs about CNY 9,400 for two nights.

In Hong Kong, stay at the most satisfying hotel street
In Hong Kong, stay at the most satisfying hotel.
This time, I chose two hotels in Hong Kong: The Upper House & Niccolo.
I prefer The Upper House for its strong sense of design. We stayed in the Studio 80 Deluxe Room, and the window view was the first thing that attracted me—a mix of cityscape and seascape.
Every day, when the light was good, I couldn't help but take a few more photos. I could come back again just for this hotel.
Breakfast, dinner, and afternoon tea are all served at the rooftop restaurant, offering a panoramic view of Victoria Harbour.
There are several breakfast sets to choose from. Personally, I prefer the English breakfast with toast. The Japanese mixed vegetable rice is also good; I basically finished it every day.
The location is in Admiralty.
Downstairs is Pacific Place, making it very convenient for travel, shopping, and dining. Not far from the hotel, there is a route suitable for city walks: Sun Moon Star Street.
There are many cute little restaurants, coffee shops, and boutique stores, perfect for a leisurely stroll!

Fu Houmin's The Upper House Hotel in Hong Kong | The most low-key, the most mysterious, the most tranquil
| The most low-key, the most mysterious, the most tranquil.
The Upper House belongs to the Swire Group, and like its sister hotel The Opposite House in Beijing, each has its own character. Designed by Fu Houmin, it is adjacent to Pacific Place in Admiralty, with mountains at the back and a sea view, enjoying a unique geographical advantage ✨. Along with JW Marriott, Conrad, and Island Shangri-La, it forms the 'Four Treasures of Admiralty' around Pacific Place. Among them, ✨The Upper House is always the most mysterious and low-key but also the most surprising. 🎈✨
The Upper House is a boutique hotel with highly personalized and friendly service. The Chinese name '奕居' (Yì Jū) means tall and beautiful. The English name 'The Upper House' implies that guests walk from the bustling streets of Queensway to Pacific Place, ✨ascending from the hustle and bustle to a tranquil space, aiming to create a home standing high above. 🎈✨
The style here is very special and will definitely not disappoint you. 'There is the tranquility of home here.' This is designer Fu Houmin's hope for The Upper House. As he said, The Upper House indeed gives us this feeling. 🎈The complex oriental art forms ✨have been transformed by him into simple wooden structures. This clearly shows the influence of his former masters on him! 🎈✨

Indulgent Afternoon Tea with a View
It feels like it's been a while since I've enjoyed a tiered afternoon tea, so I took advantage of a day with no particular plans to pretend to be a person of leisure for a day with a friend.
Salisterra on the 49th floor of The Upper House offers a very comfortable environment with a world-class view. I brought an Australian friend here for afternoon tea last time she was in town for a holiday.
The restaurant's current afternoon tea is a collaboration with London's Cafe Hotel Royal, which I'm quite interested in trying.
The afternoon tea starts with an Amuse Bouche, a single cheese puff topped with a generous amount of shaved truffle, exuding a fragrant aroma.
Starting with the sandwiches at the bottom, there are four different colors and flavors: salmon cucumber, truffled egg, coronation chicken, and beef sandwich. To be honest, the bread was a bit dry, but my personal favorite was the coronation chicken, which had a pleasing hint of curry flavor.
A small cup of elderflower sorbet to cleanse the palate, then on to the various cakes.
The four cakes are a bit larger than those typically found in afternoon teas. The two cakes in the middle layer are strawberry vanilla cream and chocolate éclair, one firm and one soft, both of a good standard. My friend prefers the rich éclair, while I have a fondness for the refreshing cake, truly to each their own.
The two items on the top layer are relatively light, which I think is quite suitable. After all, the cakes in this afternoon tea are relatively large, and if they were all rich, it might be too cloying.
Don't forget, scones are a must with British afternoon tea, and of course, they're no exception here. The slightly crispy yet soft scones are delicious with clotted cream and jam. I particularly enjoyed their orange-flavored jam.
Coffee or tea, hot or cold, is at your discretion.
Also, the service here is commendable, attentive but not overbearing~

Finally stayed at the top hotel in Hong Kong, The Upper House!
The Upper House, with its spacious rooms starting from 70 square meters, is indeed considered spacious among Hong Kong hotels. It's very comfortable to stay in. The entire hotel is nestled between mountains and sea. Everyone talks about preferring the mountain view at The Upper House for its tranquility amidst the bustling city. Personally, I prefer the sea view of this hotel. No matter where you are in the hotel, looking through the huge glass windows, the view outside is like a series of paintings. Especially in the 70 square meter sea view room, the corner glass frames the entire seascape right into your heart. Highly recommend you to stay here.

The value of a 70 square meter space at The Upper House in Hong Kong
A hotel in Hong Kong that I really like
Initially, it was G-Dragon who recommended it
I like the style of the rooms, and it's a great place to take photos. The location is convenient, right below is the Pacific Place
As a loyal fan of the House collection, I personally think this is one of the best hotels in Hong Kong! Although there are still many unexplored great hotels in Hong Kong, the details, design, and views of The Upper House have completely captured my heart. I hope next time I visit The Upper House, I can also hear: 'Welcome home'

Stayed at my current favorite hotel in Hong Kong!
The Upper House Hong Kong
"The hotel is the destination." Ranked fourth among the world's best hotels, The Upper House is nestled between mountains and sea, presenting the richness of Victoria Harbour with the warmth of home in this fast-paced land. An 80 square meter sea view room near Pacific Place is really hard to rival in the Hong Kong hotel industry.
The hotel's design is the work of Andre Fu, with the design concept emphasizing 'slowing down': there are no close buttons in the elevators, and the sound is a specially made chime instead of a hurried bell. Even the bathroom in the room is designed with several steps, giving a sense of 'stepping into' it. After walking through the hustle and bustle of Pacific Place and past the hurried crowds, entering the softly lit lobby also calms the mind.
The lobby is really small. After check-in, the staff will take you to your room for an introduction. Right in front of the entrance is the signature corner window of The Upper House Hong Kong, especially the moment when the view shifts from the corridor to the seascape outside the window as you enter is very impressive. Sitting by the window, you feel like you're embracing the entire panorama of Victoria Harbour.
The overall design of the room is minimalist luxury, with streamlined furniture and subdued tones creating a secluded homey feel. All beverages except alcohol are complimentary. The bathroom is very luxurious, occupying about half of the room, allowing you to enjoy the night view while taking a bath. The toiletries are the common series from Pacific Place Residences.
The breakfast restaurant is on the top floor, offering set meals as well as a la carte, but the taste of the dishes is really hard to judge. My friend and I tried Western, Chinese, and Japanese set meals as well as a few a la carte items, but none were satisfactory. If the room rate at the time of booking does not include breakfast, then my advice is not to try it.
TIP: The wash bag in the room can be taken away, it is of good quality and has a large capacity.

The Upper House in Hong Kong, a must-stay hotel when you come to Hong Kong! It's so comfortable to stay in!!
Located above the Admiralty MTR station, The Upper House serves as one of the financial and business centers in Hong Kong, offering extreme convenience in terms of location. It has been rated as the best hotel by 'Ultra Travel' magazine. The Upper House is known for its personalized and friendly service, and its Chinese name '奕居' implies grandeur and beauty.

Room Design
The guest rooms extensively use Japanese translucent glass to enhance natural lighting and decor, while allowing guests to fully enjoy the beautiful mid-levels scenery outside the window. The rooms are designed with two main themes: 'bamboo' with lime-colored flooring and decorations of bamboo and light purple carpet, exuding a natural ambiance; the 'Celadon' theme features green tea-colored carpets spread over oak flooring, complementing the beige oak walls, creating a serene earth-tone color scheme.
The harmonious and modern guest rooms exude elegance, warmth, and an understated luxury. All rooms in the hotel boast intoxicating views of Victoria Harbour or the elegant cityscape, equipped with spacious bathrooms and dressing areas.
