One of the mall’s standout features is its rooftop herb garden, situated on the upper terrace just outside the cinema. This open-air park is adorned with a variety of edible Malaysian herbs, such as “Misai Kucing” (Cat’s Whiskers), providing a lush green space for relaxation and communal gatherings. The garden offers superb views and a shady, pleasant area for visitors to unwind.  Inside, the mall’s decor continues the nature-inspired theme with elements like bird motifs perched on branches, tree trunk structures, and hanging signs suspended from tree branches. Even the restrooms reflect this concept, featuring “wooden” shelves hung from ropes in each cubicle. These thoughtful details contribute to a calming and nature-infused ambiance throughout the mall. Truly a pleasant shopping experience at this mall full of greens.

#malaysiatrip This Hong Kong Kowloon themed restaurant just opened in Starling Mall couple months ago. Did not really have a chance to try it until today! I got attracted by the Claypot coffee hence I was drawn into having dinner here. The moment I flipped the menu, I got shocked by the affordable price! And yeap I am going to answer to your next question - yes it is delicious! Psst! If you order claypot drink @ RM8.90, it can fill up about 2 cups compared to order 1 cup normal ones @ RM8.90.

Nine Dragon Char Chan Teng is a Hong Kong style restaurant. They have few branches in Malaysia located at PJ, Kepong and Petaling Street. The interior of this restaurant is nicely decorated with old style kind of restaurant with Hong Kong street ambience with hanging store sign. They have place the HK movie poster on his restaurant around walls and some of the tables. They offers variety range of food from rice, noodles, snack such as baked cheese rice, stir fried dishes, pastry such as polo bun, egg tart etc.. and of course the silky milk tea. #createwithtrip Kam Kee Cafe at the Starling mall is one of my favourite cafe for Polo Bun and traditional Hong Kong Milk Tea. They restaurant is located on the ground floor of The Starling Mall at Damansara Uptown. It is very easy to find as it is at the entrance of the mall. The restaurant has the feel of a Hong Kong style cafe and it is normal always pack with customers and it claims to have the best Polo Bum in Kl. I visited this cafe many times, especially to have a afternoon tea with my bestie. The restaurant is nicely renovated with bright light and very friendly staff. Besides the Polo Bun, you can try many others Hong Kong style food. Love this place, do give it a try if you are nearby this area.

When i first settled down in Kuala Lumpur, I lived for few months in uptown, Damansara. Starling Mall still an empty plot of land. Today, it is one of my favourite mall to dine, shop and wait for my friends to pick me up. It is so conveniently located in the middle part of LDP highway. Surround by lots of shop houses and office buildings. In old days it was impossible to find a park space in uptown, now I can just park inside the mall and it is so convenient for me. I love the mall for its simplicity and easy to shop. You can find everything here. Be it huge bookstores, fitness centre, cinema, lots of my favourite restaurants, a nice supermarkets, decorating shops, on and on… Mostly I feel really relax here and I love to book a staycation at the Somerset residence hotel just beside the mall. It is a very nice hotel with a nice designed rooms and infinity pool. Come.. check it out.. you will love it.

This park in starling damansara is amazing, great guns for children as it has a very big indoor playground with so many amenities and offers great variety of foods on its food court on 4th floor. The grill duck and chicken rice are MUST TRY !

The mall embraced an “Ekspres Senandung” theme, which was a night train service operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) Intercity, connecting Kuala Lumpur Sentral to Singapore. Before April 1, 2009, the service originally ran from Ipoh to Singapore, but the route between Ipoh and Kuala Lumpur Sentral was later discontinued. The train was designated with code number 11 for southbound travel and number 12 for northbound travel. This overnight train provided passengers with a comfortable journey, offering sleeper berths and reclining seats, making it ideal for long-distance travel. However, the service was discontinued on May 19, 2016, and was replaced by other services such as the ETS (Electric Train Service) and Ekspres Selatan. Not only that, the Raya decorations also feature traditional Malay travel luggages, nostalgic Malay houses, identities and decor that evoked the charm of village life. This setup provided visitors with a nostalgic experience, reminiscent of returning to one’s hometown for the Raya celebrations.

#christmasvibes The Starling Mall this year has setup a Christmas themed bazaar inside the shopping mall itself. All the cute little decorations and figurine from the stalls, those are really tempting! I think the bazaar will still be up until the year end and ample time to switch over to Chinese New Year vibe. Strongly recommended to drop by and shop around! Oh one more thing I like Starling Mall is their parking that comes with very good deal, first 2 hours only RM1 with their Parking Card 😉

#christmasvibes Christmas is always a festival that all Malaysian will not miss out as you will get to see everywhere is selling the festive-related products starting 1 month before December. Same like the Starling Mall located just 10 minutes from One Utama Shopping Centre, other than the Harry Potter themed Christmas decor by HSBC bank, there are so many booths and stalls right beside selling foods, snacks, clothes, decorations and so on!! Albeit it is not super fancy and huge market, but me and my husband had a wonderful time there to take picture and choosing Christmas items in the booths.

And they are brought it up to another different level, they incorporated Harry Potter into the Christmas theme.
