Bangkok | Blown away by this trendy and fun boutique hotel!
Bangkok, Thailand is brimming with luxury hotels, and this year's trip to Thailand 🧳, The Standard, Bangkok has become my new favorite❗️
The Standard Hotels is an independent hotel brand from the USA, with their youthful and trendy branches in places like the Maldives, London, New York, etc.~
🌟Landmark Building:
The Standard, Bangkok - as the brand's flagship in Asia Pacific, is located inside the most iconic city landmark - King Power Mahanakhon Tower. Besides being the tallest in all of Thailand, the building's unique facade with its recessed and protruding design is also a signature, creating a visual effect like falling mosaic tiles, hence it's also known as the Pixel Building.
The hotel is situated in the heart of Bangkok's CBD, with a great atmosphere. For transportation, there's a BTS station right at the door🚇, making it convenient to visit attractions, Siam Square 🛍️ or Chulalongkorn University 🍜.
🌟Public Areas:
Upon entering the hotel, the extensive use of dazzling colors immediately makes a profound impression. Different functional areas of the hotel are located on different floors, and each area corresponds to a different color. The dark green lobby on the 1st floor, the lemon yellow reception hall on the 4th floor, the deep red high-floor guest room area, along with the artistically designed furniture and lighting, give the feeling of walking through a modern art exhibition, and I really like this youthful and vibrant atmosphere💕
🌟Guest Rooms:
From the guest room elevators to the corridors, deep red is the theme, with a very American retro style. The standard room I stayed in was 40㎡, which felt very spacious due to the thoughtful design. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer a sweeping view of Bangkok's CBD day and night🌇, and the bright colors in the room + the use of curves and rounded corners also fill the room with a sense of dynamic energy.
🌟Details:
The experience is another highlight of the stay, from the carefully designed fold-out room card holder - the inside of which introduces the hotel's various floors with illustrations, to the 'Tap me' on the room card and 'Try me on' on the bathrobe, thoughtful and fun at the same time❗️
⚠️: Currently, staying at the hotel comes with complimentary tickets to the King Power Mahanakhon SkyWalk and drink coupons for the rooftop bar, both of which are hotspots in Bangkok right now🔥!
🌟Dining:
The breakfast is also special, it's a menu-order system, with a rich variety of dishes, both Thai specialties and classic European dishes, and the level of refinement and taste are above most hotel buffets. The waitstaff are also very enthusiastic, always smiling when asked for additional dishes, without making guests feel burdened.
🌟In Conclusion:
The Standard, Bangkok's dazzling colors, avant-garde design, and landmark location all express the brand's pursuit of individuality, where everything is no longer 'standard'!
While pursuing the 'non-standard', the hotel lacks nothing in terms of comfort. The smart electronic devices in the rooms, the well-equipped gym, the terrace pool, and the 6 different styled restaurants, along with the standard warm service of the hotel staff, made my stay memorable and satisfying.
