The Singapore EDITION Hotel|Perfectly Blending with Nature
Singapore is truly the city that best suits the EDITION style. This time, I stayed at the newly opened The Singapore EDITION, which has been open for less than a year, and after staying there, I feel it is one of my favorite EDITIONs.
The entire hotel blends naturally with the atmosphere of Singapore, with a pure white tone and plenty of greenery, perfectly embodying the combination of Singapore's architecture and nature. The suite is not very large, but the functional areas are well-divided, with a walk-in closet, double sinks, a desk, and a guest toilet. There are also two large TVs in the room, which is a signature feature of EDITION. The details of the decor are quite exquisite, but some designs are a bit inconvenient, such as the shower room being so small that it's difficult to turn around, and the shower door gets stuck on the bath mat, which is quite annoying.
The hotel service is quite good, with standardized training at the front desk, quick and clean room cleaning, and enthusiastic doormen and concierge. As for dining, I tried breakfast and dinner at FYSH. The breakfast options are limited and there is a quota, the taste is mediocre, and the lobster in the lobster laksa is not fresh, so I don't recommend it. On the other hand, the dinner is of high quality, the seafood is fresh, and the taste is excellent, so I was quite satisfied with this meal.
The hotel is located next to Orchard Road, next to the Four Seasons Hotel, which is one of the most central locations in Singapore. However, the floors are relatively low, so there is basically no view to speak of, but the street scene and greenery in Singapore are well done, which is better than many hotels in Europe. Overall, the experience was quite good, especially for Marriott members who can give it a try! However, if you book the most basic room type, the room is really small, so if you want to be more comfortable, it's best to use an upgrade voucher.
