[First Experience of Scotch Whisky] Edinburgh Scotch Whisky Experience

If you come to Edinburgh and have a little interest in whisky, but don't plan to make a special trip to a distant distillery, then I really recommend you to try The Scotch Whisky Experience in the city center, right next to the castle.
This is not a real distillery, but a whisky experience hall that combines interactive tours, wine tasting experience, and exhibition space. Although it doesn't occupy a large area, the overall design is very attentive, with technology, knowledge, and wine!
The tour at the beginning was super interesting. I sat in a car that looked like a barrel, and the 4D projection animation introduced the whisky production process. The visual effect was very delicate, a bit like riding a Disney park car (but the taste is wine). During the tour, you can also learn about the flavor differences of different production areas in Scotland, such as Speyside, Highlands, Islay, etc., each with its own characteristics, and the tour has Chinese commentary, so don't worry about not understanding.
It's a pity that you can't take photos or videos during the whole tour, but when you enter the exhibition area at the end, you can take pictures of the spectacular whiskey wall. There is a whole row of transparent glass cabinets, which collects the most kinds of Scotch whiskey bottles in the world, which has a strong visual impact.
Next is the wine tasting time! We participated in the Silver Tour, where you can choose a glass of your favorite whiskey to try according to your taste, and a flavor map will be attached. If you are a whiskey fan, it is highly recommended to choose the Gold Tour, where you can try whiskeys from six different regions at once, which is super cost-effective!
And the glass used for tasting can be taken home directly as a souvenir, which is very sincere.
If you are not a whiskey expert or have limited time to visit only one place, The Scotch Whisky Experience will be a great choice. The location is convenient, the tour is exquisite, the content is rich and there is a Chinese explanation. You can also drink a glass of good wine and take away a glass. It is recommended to arrange it after visiting Edinburgh Castle. It is just a few steps away. It is very convenient and interesting!
