[2024 Hong Kong Stay] Travel Guide for The Royal Garden Hotel (Updated Dec)
Enjoy the fireworks show on the top floor of a five-star hotel
Address - Royal Garden Hotel, 69 Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui
Environment/facilities - first-class decoration style
Features - Enjoy the National Day fireworks from the hotel rooftop
Price per person - $550/person
Rating – 9/10
The National Day fireworks show, which has been suspended for five years, will be held again on October 1st. I heard that it costs more than 10 million, so of course you have to participate and experience it. That night I went to J's Bar Bistro on the second floor of the Royal Garden Hotel. I have been to this restaurant several times before. The decoration, style, service, etc. are all very good. Dinner, including set dinner, can only be supplemented with house wine. Needless to say, the quality of the food is also good. The most special thing is that after dinner, you can go to the hotel rooftop to enjoy the fireworks show. Although the front is blocked by some buildings, it does not damage the viewing atmosphere. After enjoying the fireworks, you can return to your original seat and continue drinking. Satisfying the three wishes of eating, drinking and watching fireworks at once, the CP value is very high.

Delicious and unforgettable dinner at The Royal Garden Chinese Restaurant, Tsim Sha Tsui
Located at the basement 2 floor of the Royal Garden Hotel, 69 Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, the restaurant offers different menus including the normal a la card dishes, seasonal specials and Chef's recommendation menus. It is a popular place for those working around to have dim sum for lunch.
For me, it is not easy to gather all family members for lunch these days, so we booked the dinner time which only freshly cooked dishes would be provided. The dishes were served hot and staff would deform the Dong Po meat in front of customers before ready to serve. All the dishes were nicely cooked with reasonable sizes and prices. The perfect Hotel Package at The Royal Garden Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui
We first visited The Royal Garden Hotel on Mody Road in Tsim Sha Tsui on July 7th 2022.
We were staying there in the Crown Club Rooms as part of the Hotel Package on Trip.com which includes Afternoon Tea in the Crown Club Lounge, Hors d’oeuvres & wine/cocktails in the Crown Club Lounge and breakfast in the Crown Club Lounge or Buffet Breakfast in the Greenery.
We tried to check-in early at around 1pm, but as the rooms were not available yet, we walked around Tsim Sha Tsui to go shopping. The Hotel kindly kept our luggage safely for us. When we returned and checked in around 3pm, we were brought to our rooms, and then went for the Afternoon Tea. The service staff are all very friendly, but we were provided excellent service by Tony Chan and Morris.
The afternoon tea includes an assortment of sandwiches, pastries and some small desserts. You also have a choice of tea, coffee, soft drinks and juice.
We returned to our rooms and got changed to visit the Fitness Centre on the 17/F. It includes a diverse number of facilities, such as the treadmill, cycling machines, weights, rowing machine, and many more.
Afterwards, we had a shower and then went to the Crown Club Lounge to enjoy Hors d’oeuvres.
Following that, we went out to play darts.
When we returned to the hotel, we had a nice shower, and then went to sleep. We had requested non-feather pillows earlier in the day, and housekeeping delivered them in around seven minutes.
In the morning, we went to the first session in the swimming pool. The session is from 08:00 to 09:30. You have to go to the Sky Club to collect a ticket at least 15 minutes before the session begins. Each hotel room can access the pool once per room stay night. The hotel pool is a decent size, but when full, it can be crowded and there are not enough loungers. But during this session, the pool has a few number of visitors.
After we enjoyed some time in the pool, we went to the Greenery for our Buffet breakfast. The buffet is a good size as there are many options for you to choose from.
A salad bar, breakfast food areas, fruits, Chinese cuisine and pastries. There are a variety of teas and a coffee machine. There is full milk and skimmed milk available, but sadly not any Soy milk.
Check-out was simple as those who are staying as part of the Crown Club can easily checkout on the 12F at the Crown Club.
We visited yet again on the 21st of July. It was another wonderful staycation, with the same staycation package.
I highly recommend the Royal Garden Hotel. At $1,163 for our first night and $1,288 and paying with some Trip Coins to further reduce the cost, I highly recommend this Hotel (and the Hotel Package).
The hotel is great, and the package is great value for money!

Experience the Iconic Elevator at The Royal Garden Hotel in Hong Kong
Located just a 2-minute walk from Tsim Sha Tsui Station Exit P2, The Royal Garden Hotel offers convenient access to Mong Kok, Central, Sheung Shui Po, and West Kowloon. The hotel is right across the street from Victoria Harbor, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll and enjoying the sea breeze, even if you miss the light show. It's also close to shopping areas like Harbor City and K11. The elevator is indeed a visual delight, and in the afternoon, the hotel provides complimentary fruit in the rooms. However, the rooms are not as spacious as expected. If you don't have Hong Kong dollars, you can pay with Visa, but note that the deposit may take 1-7 business days to be refunded after checkout. On the way to Tsim Sha Tsui Station, there's a restaurant called Golden Kung Fu Dim Sum, which offers a wide variety of dishes at reasonable prices without long waiting times, making it worth a visit! #HongKongHotels #HotelRecommendations #TsimShaTsuiHotels

The Royal Garden Hotel in Hong Kong is a favorite choice.
Before traveling, I didn't do much research on Hong Kong hotels. I usually opt for international chains, but this time, The Royal Garden Hotel's unfamiliar style pleasantly surprised me.
What I love most is its old money aesthetic; the hotel is well-maintained despite its age. The value for money is great, and even the standard rooms are spacious, changing my stereotype of cramped Hong Kong hotels. The elevators and the lobby café are eye-catching, offering a magnificent view while having breakfast.
The famous butterfly pastries are sold at Fine Foods on the first floor, starting at 11 AM. Arrive a few minutes early to queue, and you can easily buy them with a 15% discount using your room card. I almost forgot about the Mediterranean-style pool on the top floor, accessible by switching elevators on the 15th floor to reach the 17th.
It offers a full view of Victoria Harbour, perfect for vacation photos. I was too busy with work and only managed a quick, unsatisfactory shot. Don't miss this experience. The sky rooms/suites on the 17th and 18th floors must be amazing. The hotel is located in Tsim Sha Tsui, with convenient public transport, just a few steps from Victoria Harbour.
At night, the Avenue of Stars, with Leslie Cheung's name, always has admirers paying tribute.

A view that inspires poetry
The harbour in Hong Kong glitters both by day (sunshine) or at night (light show from the skyscrapers). Well worth paying the premium for a hotel room with a harbor view.
