Arriving at the hotel you are greater by a friendly smile and welcoming. Reception is friendly fast and very nice. Rooms are clean and very beautiful, with a amazing view. I'm delighted by the service and the friendliness I received while staying here. The beach is very well maintained with areas to relax in the sun or if you prefer the shade, staff available to accommodate you in towels and drinks. A Ritz Carlton Christmas on Sanya is one of the more magical ways to spend the holidays. This lavish resort located in Yalong Bay is a fantastic place for couples or families. 👨‍👧‍👧The staff really made the whole experience feel great and inclusive for everyone. They opened up a kids section far away from the main lobby area for the kids to play and enjoy. Separating it from the rest of the hotel was a great idea as it gave some peace and quite to the rest of the guest trying to avoid youngsters. 🏖The proximity to the beach is also a plus. Guests have an option of relaxing in the pool or taking a swim in the ocean. Most places in Sanya are off limits to swim but on Yalong bay there is an area open for swimmers. 🌅 The area also lends itself very well to couples and honeymooners. The sunsets from the main lobby area are spectacular. All in all I would definitely recommend this resort to couples and families alike. We received so many recommendations about Sofia, the italian restaurant at The Ritz Carlton Sanya and decided to try it! It was beyond perfect! We had the chance to meet the Italian Chef Razvan that prepared and explained us his dishes and creation process behind it! We had seared ootoro tuna, wagyu beef carpaccio, burrata tortellini, porcini mushroom risotto and tiramisu! Everything was delicious! The beach is nice, and weather was nice. we were able to lie on the beach except for one day when it was very windy. we stayed on our patio instead. We went to the largest duty-free mall in the world. It was not for us. It is a mall. We took the shuttle from the hotel. We are glad we went early. It got very crowded around noon. Most of the items are delivered to you at the airport. Since I was looking for something to use at the beach, that was not helpful for me. In any case, we could have skipped the mall. We found a taxi and went back to the Ritz Carlton as fast as possible. We had very good fresh fish at the restaurants in town. The steamed fish on the room service menu is superb. If you have WeChat, you can order from the in-room dining menu and pay very conveniently. That was easier than ordering on the phone (due to my poor mandarin skills). The Christmas Dinner at the beach restaurant was great and I got a picture with Santa. The New Year’s eve dinner in the Italian restaurant was also very good. We had purchased champagne from one of the stores in town. It was terrible, either spoiled or fake. We ended up purchasing a bottle from the hotel which was superb. Should have skipped trying to save money and just purchased from the hotel in the first place. NOTE: Compared to Shanghai, there is a lot less English here. It did not bother us (I mean, we are in China) but be prepared if you do not speak Mandarin. We found people were very friendly. In the restaurants in town, other customers stepped in to help translate if needed. That was nice. Same thing happened on the bus. Very appreciated! Honestly, I need to study my mandarin! We reserved the ocean view suite which had two rooms and 1.5 baths. This allowed us to call in to work if needed and not disturb others. Would be a good room for a family. The patio was large. We just spent two weeks at the Ritz Carlton Yalong Bay. We had a tremendous time. The beach was very nice. We got a lot of exercise walking along the beach. We also walked into town most everyday to find a variety of restaurants and Starbucks. The staff at the hotel was polite and friendly. I want to offer special Thanks to Nancy who helped us throughout our entire stay. She did a very nice job of translating when we could not (my mandarin really should be better....). She notified us of upcoming events and helped us make reservations for Christmas and New Years Dinners. We used the workout facility, which was nice, clean and had a lot of equipment. We did have a massage. We scheduled a couple’s massage. My husband’s started on time but mine was 20 minutes late due to traffic(?) So we did not start and end at the same time which was a bummer and delayed us getting to the beach. Overall, the massage was good but would expect better professionalism on timeliness. I was on my way out when they found me (I have a 15-minute wait limit when I schedule these types of things). Sturdy, the waiter at the beach bar, was very polite and helpful. Boody (sp?) in the restaurant staff was extremely helpful as well. Our room attendant was xionjiu jian (sp?) She was phenomenal and followed up on everything we needed every day. She helped us with anything we needed including laundry and ice. She was always very pleasant and helpful. She spoke in mandarin, but we were able to use the translator (and my broken mandarin) to communicate. The room is huge and very comfortable, actually we got upgraded to an ocean view room which I would recommended. Every day we got a little gift from the room service that brings smile to our face. The staff at the reception is extremely helpful especially Mandy and also Aurudin at the breakfast. The hotel is kind of a kid friendly, and that I would not sure if it would be a place for a couple who like a bit more clam and quiet place. Foreigners might get frustrated sometime since not all the staff can speak English but don’t take it so seriously cause they will find someone who speaks English and can assist you. We only tried the sand restaurant and we think there is room for improvement. The octopus salad was lack of salad sauce. One of the best family holidays we had! The room was connected to the pool so everything was so convenient. The staffs were professional which is hard to expect during COVID19. Yalong Bay Ritz-Carlton Afternoon Tea If you are tired of playing in Yalong Bay, you can choose a five-star hotel to have an afternoon tea break. Ritz's afternoon tea is notoriously rich, you can call in advance to make an appointment. Views, sitting indoors overlooking the sea and the infinity pool. The standard three-layer English afternoon tea is well-preserved. When you serve, there will be a chef to introduce the name and meaning of each dessert. What is more commendable is that the exquisite dishes are all combined with Hainan diet, with the fine Wenchang chicken and Jia Sandwiches made from ducks and the first layer of prawn salmon are my favorite! After staying at the Hilton in Yalong Bay, I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton for two days. There were noticeably fewer people than at the Hilton, probably because the price here is a bit higher. Yalong Bay is an early developed scenic area, so the hotels here are quite old. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Although there are obvious signs of age, it is after all a luxury brand, and the hardware and software are very well equipped. The swimming pool is very close to the sea and is also very beautiful. I didn't expect it to be quite special~ I wonder if any sisters have tried it! Haha

This was my first time to Yalong Bay and I'm positively surprised how nice it was, especially the beach and the exceptionally blue water of the ocean. I really like this hotel, The Ritz-Carlton Yalong Bay, even though it's older yet fully renovated. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, really good food, massive pool landscape (some rooms have direct access to the pool) and a great tennis court which is always a plus for me when choosing hotels. There is a duty free nearby and since this area is more established there a fewer constructions and no high rise building like in Haitang Bay. I would definitely come back here! #beachvacation #beaches

Staying at the Ritz-Carlton, Yalong Bay, Sanya, Jinmao is a pool villa suite. I booked this room for the ultimate in luxury and is actually a very satisfying choice. The villas are much larger than expected, the private pools are not small, and they can swim, unlike some hotels, although the pool is small enough to be used as a paddling pool. 130 square meters of large area, one bedroom, one living room, one kitchen and two bathrooms, the interior space is extra spacious, the master bedroom bathroom is super large, and there is another 315 square meters of outdoor garden...you dont have to go here, just in the hotel Stay and enjoy a leisurely vacation. Ritz-Carlton's public swimming pool is large and has an infinity landscaped pool surrounded by man-made beaches. It's really great!

At check-in, the villa butler will drive us and the baggage directly to the room, introduce the room facilities to us, check in at the room, no need to go to the lobby. The hotel has carefully prepared a small tent for the night of Ritz Children's Wilderness. As Amy's two-day "home", the children are safe to sleep in. The outdoor swimming pool is perfect for those who love to swim. After getting up in the morning, take a dip and go out for a refreshing activity.
