When I first started frequently traveling internationally, I had three requirements for my hotel: Is it safe? Is it clean? Is it convenient? As long as it met those standards, I wasn’t concerned about how it looked or if it was comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, etc. That worked for me as I am an avid solo traveler and I needed to keep my travels within a specific budget. Now that I am more familiar with how to find great travel deals and I understand how staying in high-end hotels can provide a different experience outside of the daily excursions, if I’m able to, I treat myself to the fullest extent. Staying at the Ritz-Carlton Istanbul was the perfect choice for adding a touch of opulence to my Turkish expedition. Upon my arrival, the service was top tier from start to finish. From being upgraded to a better room with club lounge benefits, to receiving a birthday cake and card from the staff, to the wonderful dining options that fit my fine dining desires, and also the assistance granted by the hotel receptionist, I couldn’t have asked for anything more! The bed was AMAZING! The pool was gorgeous, honestly the entire hotel was mesmerizing. I loved how there were touches of BLUE in many areas of the hotel (my birthday theme color). Our three days trip in Istanbul we have stayed at The Ritz Carlton which is located in the heart of the city overlooking scenic views of the city and the Bosphorus. This five-star occupies the first 12 floors of Suzer Plaza, a sleek high-rise diverse use building. The Ritz Carlton is only short drive from the most famous places in Istanbul; Sultanahmet, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. Sleek, Spacious luxury Hotel 24 km far, ataturk airport is Sahiba Gokcen airport 50 km. We opted a dinner at Atelier Real Food for the expansion was wonderful. I recently traveled to Türkiye and stayed at the Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul, located at Askerocagi Caddesi, No 6 Suzer Plaza. The location is great! The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the pier or Taksim Square, but the slope is a bit steep, so it can be a bit tiring. However, there are some great restaurants nearby, and I felt the energy of the city as soon as I got off the plane. The front desk staff were super friendly when we checked in, and they quickly completed the check-in process. They also upgraded our room and gave us tea and coffee. The service was really thoughtful. The hotel has a classical style, but it is still elegant. When I walked into the room, I was instantly amazed by the beautiful view of the Bosphorus Strait. I could enjoy the view from my room every day! The room layout was also very thoughtful, spacious, and comfortable. There was also a small but practical mini bathtub, which made me feel very warm. Our room faced the spectacular Bosphorus Strait, the best place to watch the sunrise and sunset! The bed in the room was very comfortable, and I felt super relaxed lying on it after a few days of hiking. The bathroom was also large and had many daily necessities. The shower design was also great. The Wi-Fi connection was very stable, making it a great place to enjoy both work and vacation. The gym was a bit crowded, but the facilities were complete and practical. There are many interesting places to visit around the hotel, such as Taksim Square and Dolmabahçe Palace, which are within walking distance or easily accessible by tram. I recommend trying the nearby spa, which was really great! I also have to mention the hotel's breakfast, which had a wide variety of options. The omelet and cheese pancakes are highly recommended. Enjoying delicious food while admiring the sea view is simply perfect! There were also various fruits and vegetables and freshly baked croissants, which made me feel so happy. However, the hotel is a bit remote, located on a hill, so it requires climbing, which can be a bit tiring. It would be perfect if the hotel provided a shuttle service. In addition, the food in the club lounge was bland and unremarkable, so I don't particularly recommend it. I suggest having lunch or dinner in the lobby restaurant, where the food and view are more worth the price. Overall, the Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul is a highly recommended accommodation option. Although there are some minor drawbacks, the overall service and experience are really great. If you plan to visit Istanbul, consider this hotel!
