We loved lying by the sofa at night facing the balcony listening to the waves crashing against the rocks. Head to the beach in the morning after a delicious buffet breakfast for a simple kayak, or just laze by the hammock by the sea while
enjoying the cooling sea breeze. The water is very shallow, making this very suitable for families with kids! In the afternoon, have a tipple or light bites by the pool while enjoying the afternoon sun!
Food choices are limited to within the resort, but you can be assured food choices are plenty with 3 different restaurants to cater to different needs- local indonesian food is simply delicious here!

The hotel is quite far away from Bandar Bentan Telani Terminal and it takes 1.5 hours till hotel. However, hotel has provide shuttle bus 😉

（Small tips: there is a closer way to the hotel which is Sri Bintan Pura ferry terminal “Tanjung Pinang” - 45mins drive)

An hour away from bandar bintan telani ferry terminal, however the stay and view and hospitality is all worth it!

My sister and I stayed at The Residence Bintan for 3D2N for my birthday celebration last April. We stayed at the Upper Sea View Suite. Everything from that trip was perfect. My only gripe was that we wished we could have stayed longer.
The resort's location is secluded perfect for that much needed break from work. This would require 1.5 hrs. of travel from the ferry terminal, we did not mind though as we just slept thru the whole free shuttle ride with free cookies, water, & cold towel. Once arrived, we were just in awe of the breathtaking views everywhere in the resort.
Check-in was relatively smooth and easy. A miniscule gripe for me was that we weren't offered the welcome drinks as we step in the lobby and wait for someone to check us in, unlike the other guests that arrived with us. Doesn't really diminish the overall satisfaction with the service and our stay though. Reception staff were very friendly. We were eventually offered the drinks when I walked up to the counter and did the check-in.
Our suite was very spacious & beautifully designed. I enjoyed the hammock and the tub. The sunrise and sunset view from the outside deck was very pretty. The suite also comes with 2 bicycles for you to use as the resort is really massive. We did not use it though since we didn't know how to ride bikes haha. Instead, we used the free buggy service a lot of times. There were a lot of complimentary activities but what I really enjoyed was the private beach especially during low tide. View from the pool is crazy!
Food and drinks were good. We tried all the dining options available. Breakfast spread was good! We dined at Rica Rica, food was great! 5 stars! We dined at the Dining Room, food was also good. The drinks at the pool bar were also nice, + points for the live music! Rimbun grill buffet was definitely worth it. The setting was very whimsical with fairy lights dining by the sea at night. We also tried the afternoon tea they offered. The staff also delivers fruit and snacks to our suite. Yum!
I really want to commend the service. Staff were all smiles and very friendly. My introvert self took a step back and just enjoyed the small talks and greetings from the staff.
Will definitely be back and try other accommodation options! 😍

Excellent stay!
Had best Valentine’s staycation with The Residence. Their hospitality is 100% as well. The residence located super far from the city (approximately 1hr) so lot of tour guides will want to charge us extra due to distance. So if you want a quiet and far from city without going out for tour, The Residence is the best choice.

Best Bintan Stay ever!
We had a great time with the kids at The Residence Bintan. The farm trip was something both the kids enjoyed. The food was good but more on the pricier side. The service was excellent. We were very touched when the hotel staffs remembered the kids' birthday and took alot of effort to decorate our room and surprise us with a birthday cake. Their management also interacted with us and checked up on us to see if everything wad good during our trip. We were heartened to see their staffs and management took the extra effort to wave us all good bye on our last day when our buses were leaving their premises. Highly recommended. Will come again for sure..
