[2025 Ho Chi Minh City Restaurant] Travel Guide for The Refinery Restaurant (Updated Jul)

The refinery is located in a beautiful old building which apparently was an opium house back in the days. It is French themed which reflects on the menu and approach. Yet, not absurdly priced as lot of other restaurants in ho chi Minh that do, say French or italian food. At the refinery they have both, a chef that specialises in Italian food and another that does french food. It was wonderful to get to talk to them and seek recommendations. Something we do with foreign food to ensure the chef offers his best. Having said so, this is not very high end sorts. We tried them for a lunch and then a dinner a few weeks later. If the weather is warm, I would advise on reservations ro seeking a seat indoors. It does get a bit warm even if generally the space is airy and open. I think the affordability and decent taste makes this place worthy of a visit. #vietnamtrip #frenchfood #saigon

In the evening, you can relax and enjoy food and drinks outside on the open terrace. It's a French restaurant, but they also serve Vietnamese food. I ordered a few spring rolls and other items and enjoyed them.
