Raohe Night Market
Getting there - Can reach there by Metro and then walking.
Highlights - This is the best night market in Taipei in my personal opinion. The variety of food is great there and it's a huge night market. Many michelin bib recommended food like the pepper meat pancake, Yipinyuan rice balls to name a few. Highly recommended if you love street food.

The Red House!
This is a restored theatre that was built during the Japanese occupation. It is not far from the Ximending pedestrian area. It is an octagon building selling souvenir, crafts and tea and some food. Inside there are stalls with local craftspeople and designers selling very unique products from handmade jewelry.

Claire’s Adventures
The Ximen Red House was built in the Japanese occupation period of 1908. The biggest feature is that each faade is 8 meters. It is called the Octagon Hall during the Japanese occupation. After the recovery, the octagonal hall belonging to the Ximen market was placed under the authority of the authorities. In 1949, Chen Huiwen, a well-known Shanghai businessman who retired to Taiwan, rented an octagonal hall and opened a storytelling performance and film broadcast on the second floor.
Today's Ximen Red Building is a 16th workshop, and the second floor is a creative boutique display and exhibition. Many singers or groups will hold small shows here. The interior has exhibited the development of the red building since its birth. In 1935, it was still a sparsely populated neighborhood. Today's red building has become a place full of creativity and passion.
The interior of the red building is typical loft style, simple and stylish, the lines are tough, the connection is mainly black and gray, but the main color of the shop is wood color. During walking, we can use both perceptual thinking and use. Rational thinking is the favorite literary space for young people.

The red brick story intertwined through time: Strolling through the Ximen Red Building
#TaipeiAttractions
Walking through the Ximen Red Building is like a journey through time. This century-old building has an octagonal design as its core, and its red brick walls exude a warm luster in the sun, quietly telling the historical memory of the Japanese colonial period. The wooden window frames and arched door openings at the entrance have a retro charm and attract people to linger.
Stepping inside, the space not only retains its historical original appearance, but also incorporates modern creativity. The exhibition hall displays the works of local designers, from handicrafts to clothing, all showing the cultural and creative charm of Taipei. I randomly walked into a small shop and looked at the handmade pottery carefully. The unique texture seemed to tell the story of the creator's mind.
In the Red Mansion Theater, you can also feel the power of music and performance. The stability of the red bricks contrasts with the vitality of the stage, but it is so harmonious. Here, history and modernity, art and life are ingeniously blended, making people feel emotional. Ximen Red House is not only a building, but also a moving story belonging to Taipei, waiting for every visitor to experience it with their heart.

Lotus Love: The Tale of Red Chamber
#winhkflight
The Red House "西门红楼" is a novel written by renowned Chinese author and scholar Cao Xueqin during the Qing Dynasty. It is considered one of the greatest works of Chinese literature, famed for its intricate storytelling and vivid portrayal of the lives of the aristocracy during the period.
In the heart of ancient China, nestled within the bustling city of Beijing, stood the magnificent mansion known as "西门红楼" (Ximen Honglou), or "Red Chamber". With its grand halls, ornate gardens, and labyrinthine corridors, it was a place of opulence and splendor, where the noble families of the Jia clan resided.
At the heart of the Red Chamber was the young and beautiful Daiyu, a delicate flower blooming amidst the thorns of aristocratic society. Born into privilege yet burdened by tragedy, Daiyu found solace in the quiet corners of the mansion's gardens, where she would lose herself in the beauty of nature and the poetry of her own thoughts.
As the seasons changed and the years passed, the lives of the residents of the Red Chamber intertwined in a complex tapestry of love, ambition, and betrayal. Amidst the lavish feasts and extravagant festivities, secrets simmered beneath the surface, threatening to unravel the fragile bonds that held the family together.
But amidst the intrigue and drama, there was also love – pure and true – that blossomed like a lotus in the muddy waters of society. Daiyu found herself drawn to the enigmatic figure of Baoyu, the young heir to the Jia clan, whose rebellious spirit and tender heart captured her own.
Their love was forbidden, a delicate flower struggling to bloom amidst the thorns of tradition and duty. Yet, like the lotus that rises from the mud to greet the sun, Daiyu and Baoyu's love endured, a beacon of hope in a world of darkness.
In the end, the Red Chamber stood as a testament to the fleeting nature of life and the impermanence of earthly desires. But amidst the ruins of the mansion, the memory of Daiyu and Baoyu's love lived on, a timeless tale of passion and devotion that would echo through the ages.
