Citywalk Route of Jingdezhen Sculpture Porcelain Factory
🏬Origin: The Sculpture Porcelain Factory was established in 1956 and was once one of the ten famous state-owned porcelain factories in Jingdezhen. In the 1990s, state-owned porcelain factories declined one after another. Today, the Sculpture Porcelain Factory has transformed from an old factory into a comprehensive cultural park integrating art creation, exhibition, and trading, becoming a must-visit spot for tourists in Jingdezhen.

Jingdezhen has two ceramic markets: Taoxichuan and Lotte Market!!
Jingdezhen has two ceramic markets: Taoxichuan and Lotte Market
Both offer a good selection of items, but there are some differences.
Let's start with the first one!
1️⃣📌For traditional porcelain enthusiasts, head to 📍Taoxichuan first, where you can find many high-end traditional porcelains like blue and white porcelain and Jianzhan. The area is highly commercialized with a new and well-planned district. The cultural and creative district that opens in the afternoon is somewhat younger
🌟The evening market is the best time to visit, with three lanes of stalls.
The categories are quite mixed, ranging from blue and white porcelain to Jianzhan to hand-pinched ceramics. Porcelain enthusiasts of all kinds can find something they like.
✨✨Highly recommend the stalls run by college students, which are very distinctive and popular among students. Some items are very handmade (some may be too niche, depending on personal taste), including some that are very unique and non-commercial.
2️⃣Lotte Market
🌟Open until 12 noon, buy tickets in advance: Lotte Tao Society
The stalls here are very compact, selling products in series, like small-scale batch-produced items by young designers. The creative ceramic design elements and color matching are also quite harmonious, and I personally think the overall aesthetic is more superior.
✨✨After the market ends, the buyer's store Zhouguo is also worth a visit, featuring a collection of various designers' works. The quality and aesthetics of the merchandise are very stable, including some Japanese designer pieces.
Additionally, the entire street outside Lotte Tao Society is lined with ceramic shops, similar but worth a stroll if you have time.

Le Tian Tao Society
Le Tian Tao Society Creative Market is only open every Saturday morning from 9 to 12 o'clock, inside the Sculpture Ceramic Factory in Jingdezhen. Participants are all young craftsmen, mainly focusing on ceramic artworks. Here you can discover a variety of soulful items, each with its own texture, style, and shape, all unconstrained and imaginative. Such a cultural and creative district is a unique place that only a city with a rich heritage like Jingdezhen could have. When visiting Jingdezhen, you should not miss this spot.

Jingdezhen·Lotus Market
The market in Jingdezhen is a manifestation of its vitality.
Lotus Market(Closed in August) Time: Every Saturday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Address: Lotus Pottery Society Creative Market (inside the Sculpture Porcelain Factory) Tickets: Early bird tickets 30 yuan/day tickets 50 yuan (remember to buy in advance) The Lotus Market is located inside the Jingdezhen Sculpture Porcelain Factory, and is only open for three hours every Saturday morning. The participants of the market are mostly local artists, designers, and creative collective shops from Jingdezhen, mainly featuring porcelain items, but also including some jewelry, bags, etc., with relatively high average prices, with small cups generally costing 200+ yuan. There are a few beverage (coffee, tea) stalls, and the overall scope is not large; it can be browsed within an hour. In addition to the market, there are many individual shops inside the ceramic factory. If you don't want to visit the market, it is recommended to avoid the Saturday time slot and take your time to choose in the shops.

Jingdezhen Three-Day Tour
March 1st, 11:45 departure from Shaoxing North Station, transfer in Hangzhou, then arrive in Jingdezhen and check into Taoyi Yingxiang Hotel. Dinner at Xiaolechuan, a 1.2 km walk from the hotel, has a good taste, recommended dishes include stir-fried kidney flowers and codfish tail. After dinner, take a taxi to Taoxi Chuan Cultural and Creative District, which was transformed from the old ceramic factory buildings, retaining a full industrial style. After creative renovation, it has become an area with a rich artistic atmosphere, and there is a market on Friday and Saturday nights.
On the 2nd, after breakfast at the hotel, take a taxi to Lotte Tao Society Creative Market. The creative market requires a 50 yuan ticket and is open until 12 pm on Saturday. If you're not buying high-quality porcelain, it's not recommended to buy a ticket to enter, as there are plenty of stalls and markets on the street that are more suitable for shopping. Lunch was at Xiaomao Lao Mian Soup Dumpling Square Store, where the pork soup dumplings and preserved egg meat cake soup are good. In the afternoon, visit the China Ceramic Museum, where you can queue up to visit the Silent Buddha on the sixth floor. If you don't need a photo with the Silent Buddha, you can skip the queue and take pictures of the Silent Buddha during the gaps. Dinner at Ouji, which feels like the best meal in Jingdezhen, recommended dishes include secret yellow fish, spicy crab legs, ace chicken feet, osmanthus tofu, and water chestnut pearl coconut water. After dinner, visit the Imperial Kiln Museum, which is located in the Taoyangli scenic area. Taoyangli is a paid attraction, but you can visit for free after 8:30 pm, so choose to go to the scenic area after dinner at Longzhu Pavilion. After the time, the main gate automatically opens, and many people queue up to enter. We went straight to the Longzhu Pavilion internet-famous check-in spot, where several check-in spots were queuing for photos. Taoyi Hotel is right next to the Imperial Kiln Museum, but the north gate is not open, so you need to detour one kilometer.
On the 3rd, after breakfast at the hotel, team up to go to China Ceramic City to choose your favorite tea set. Lunch was at Fan's Beef Bone Powder near the hotel, eating fried dough sticks and glutinous rice cakes, beef bone powder, because of time constraints, did not go to Chengxin Fried Dough Stick Shop, did not eat the recommended best fried dough sticks and glutinous rice cakes. We had a three-day and two-night leisure trip, didn't visit distant attractions, Jingdezhen city is not big, just take a taxi in the city area, recommended food includes Ouji Dapaidang, for those who like spicy food Xiaolechuan, and for buying ceramics, China Ceramic City is the place to go.

Traveling in Jingdezhen, I walked through crowded art spaces and brushed past the artistic and literary freshness
👀 Early on Saturday morning, we went straight to our first destination, Lotte Pottery Community, which originated in Hong Kong and has gradually developed into a delicate and atmospheric market. We came here with high expectations but left slightly disappointed. Let me tell you all about it.
—————————
Name: Lotte Pottery Community•Creative Market
Address: No. 139, Xinchang East Road, Zhushan District, Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province (inside the Sculpture Porcelain Factory)
Open: Every Saturday 09:00-12:00, no entry after 12:00
Ticket: 50 yuan, early bird/student ticket 25 yuan
—————————
🌟Crowded Market
Walking through it, I felt a bit lost; there were too many people. The space was small, and there was an admission fee, giving a sense of mission that since you've managed to get a ticket, you must seriously explore the whole place. Many stalls were set up by college students, which is commendable. Buying interesting trinkets is also nice. After leaving the market, I went to a larger one next door, where many local people displayed interesting items, but it was also very crowded, more retro and down-to-earth.
🌟Photogenic Scenes
This place is more suitable for taking artistic and fresh photos, and the results are good. Some small streets and alleys, small scenes and shops are deliberately managed, and you can take good pictures just by walking a few steps. It's true that there are plenty of beautiful scenes, just a lack of eyes to discover the beauty. The atmosphere is full.
🌟Artistic Atmosphere
It's mainly about this kind of artistic and literary atmosphere. The feeling of some small fresh craft shops also gives a special experience. Drinking tea or coffee by the roadside, taking DSLR photos, choosing travel souvenirs, this is a place where artistic youths would scramble to see the world, but it's a bit disappointing when you actually go. This conflicted balance is precisely the pain of being artistic, haha, how sentimental.
👀So overall? The cost-performance ratio isn't great, you have to scramble for tickets, the place isn't big, and it's only open on Saturday mornings. Those who like to hunt for little things and enjoy artistic freshness can go for a stroll and take some photos. I'm glad I made the trip this time.

Weekend Photography · Jingdezhen
On a Friday afternoon, I took the high-speed train, crossed the long journey, and finally arrived in Jingdezhen. The location of this porcelain capital of China carries my childhood yearning and dreams. The high-speed train arrived in the night, and when the taxi drove to the destination, I saw the half moon outside the window, which was interestingly matched with the name of the homestay, Chuyue, and a warm current surged in my heart.
In the homestay, I joined the mutton hot pot dinner organized by the landlord himself. Among the people at the same table, half of them turned out to be my fellow villagers, and even the landlord was! In the conversation, I learned that they opened homestays in Yunnan, engaged in the clothing industry in Hunan, fell in love with coffee in Guangdong, and one was a traditional culture teacher in Jingdezhen. At this small dinner, we had the same aspirations, cooked wine around the stove, and shared each other's stories and laughter.
Early the next morning, I woke up early, feeling the fresh air and warmth of early winter. Walking in the fields of the village, surrounded by mountains, the villagers have already started their day. I saw the windmill familiar in my childhood in the field. At 8:00, I started to enjoy a hearty breakfast. The ingredients for breakfast are carefully selected and cooked by the host, full of natural deliciousness. Fuliang Chuyue Homestay
After breakfast, I went to the Le Tian market. This market, which is only open on weekend mornings, has a ticket price of 50 yuan. Here I saw all kinds of weird stalls set up by different designers, artists, and college students. They integrated their creativity and thoughts into the porcelain, attracting many eyes to stop. Le Tian Tao She Creative Market
In the evening, I followed the advice of a local taxi driver and went to Yaoli Ancient Town to experience the Huizhou-style residential buildings a hundred years ago. When I arrived at the ancient town, the setting sun was falling on the mountainside, dyeing half of the ancient town golden. The whole town is quiet and peaceful, without too much commercial atmosphere. I found a restaurant by the water and asked the boss to stir-fry me a chili and meat, the taste is really great! After dinner, I took a walk along the shore and then returned to the city. Yaoli Millennium Ancient Town
During my trip to Hanxi Village on Sunday, I saw the spectacular scenery of a tea mountain and the unique charm of the earth lamp installation art. Whether looking from a distance or close, high or low, it has a different charm. Here, I felt the gift of nature and the infinite charm of art. Hanxi Village
