Red is in the air
The Spring Festival is a great time to experience the traditional Chinese atmosphere. If you are in Beijing, have already visited the main attractions, walked around the hutongs, then you can still go to 5-star hotels. There are beautiful red decorations in the lobby, you can admire the art and take some photos. If you are on Wangfujin Road, then you have about 6 hotels. No need to take a taxi, you can walk this distance from hotel to hotel on foot. And if it's cold, you can have a cup of coffee in the lobby of one of the hotels. My list:
1. The Regent Beijing
2. Legendale hotel
3. The Peninsula
4. Waldorf Astoria Beijing
5. Hilton
6. Grand Hyatt at Oriental Plaza
You can easily find all hotels on the map by name.

On a refreshing summer night, come to the Wang Bar Peninsula Hotel Cloud Bar Terrace, and wine tasting with friends, after the teacher's instructions, a pair of deputy lotus masterpieces in turn, interesting and fulfilling!
At the same time, we also tasted the three handmade moon cakes created by Mr. Liang Jianwen and Mr. Deng Jianbiao from Huangting Chinese Restaurant. In addition to the traditional peninsula-style classic milky moon cake, it also introduced the pineapple and durian flavors. Greatly created a new filling of moon cakes, creating an unforgettable taste bud memory.

The Peninsula Beijing Suite
- The suite is 180 square meters, which is a rare find in the heart of Beijing.
- The space is cleverly divided into a U-shape. To the right of the entrance is a work and entertainment area with a secondary bathroom, a study, and a separate minibar. To the left is a rest area, including a bedroom, a dressing room, a large cloakroom, and a master bathroom with views of the bustling streets and Siheyuan courtyard. Each space is interconnected yet independent, with no corners, and the overall streamline design is reasonable.
2. Facilities and equipment:
- Intelligent control system: The room is equipped with multiple tablets that can control the whole house intelligent system, which can conveniently control all electronic facilities in the room, such as temperature, lighting, and curtains, providing guests with great convenience and comfort.
- Private cinema: This is a major feature of the Beijing Suite. The sound effect is excellent, providing guests with an excellent viewing experience and allowing guests to enjoy the fun of a private cinema in the room.
- Other facilities: The room is also equipped with high-quality bedding, spacious solid wood floors, modern carpets, large plasma TVs, etc., and the bathroom has a hydrotherapy mode. After a busy day, guests can relax here.
3. Decoration and style:
- The overall style is light and elegant beige, with the walls adorned with works by artists. Against the backdrop of solid wood floors and modern carpets, it is particularly gorgeous, showing the ultimate urban luxury style. At the same time, the room design incorporates elements of traditional and modern Chinese art, which has the charm of traditional Chinese culture and a modern sense of fashion.
4. Landscape and view: The room has a good view and can see the bustling scene of Beijing's core area and the Siheyuan courtyard, allowing guests to feel the vitality of the modern city while also appreciating the unique style of old Beijing.

Summer vacation with kids hotel - Peninsula Beijing Suite
Another happy hotel staycation with kids
Staying in the Peninsula Beijing Suite, 165 square meters
There is even a cinema in the room (with popcorn), can you handle that?
Knowing there are little babies, they thoughtfully prepared a small tent and small toys
During the summer vacation, hotel bookings are booming, all for summer vacation with kids
The Peninsula Hotel has a great location, two minutes walk to Wangfujing and close to the subway station
As a historic hotel, the Peninsula really has good service, the decoration style is also very much liked. Breakfast is in the lobby on the first floor, afternoon tea is delicious and photogenic. My favorite is the hotel's bar, Yun Jing Lang, with a great terrace view, good cocktails, and delicious and beautiful snacks.

Beijing Peninsula Hotel | Recreating the grandeur of the imperial city
| Recreating the grandeur of the imperial city. Beijing Peninsula Hotel | Recreating the grandeur of the imperial city
The newly designed inspiration of Beijing Peninsula Hotel comes from the magnificent palaces and serene gardens of ancient Chinese dynasties.
In ancient times, the archways were exclusively for the royal family, and the famous traditional archway of the Beijing Peninsula Hotel is a grand structure welcoming guests.
The outdoor art sculpture composed of 9 pieces of granite is created by British sculptor Jon Isherwood, known for his public space works.
Entering the hotel lobby, the onyx hand-carved 'shadow wall' created by renowned Hong Kong designer Henry Leung, who is responsible for the hotel's renovation design, creates the atmosphere of a typical Beijing hutong mansion, blending Feng Shui elements to ward off evil spirits and bring prosperity and health to the home.
The 'shadow wall' has two surfaces, with each corner carved with patterns representing the four seasons, including bamboo (spring), lotus (summer), orchid (autumn), and plum (winter), along with auspicious floral plants.
In the hotel lobby, two imposing 5-meter-high ink paintings depict the sun and moon on a cobalt blue background, flanking the main staircase. Artist Qin Feng, a renowned avant-garde artist in China, is known for his unique style, and his works are widely collected by museums around the world.
Two bronze sculptures of tea drinkers by Zhang Du further highlight the traditional and cultural characteristics of China, representing the Peninsula tradition of leisurely tea drinking in the lobby lounge.
The classic and stylish design of the guest rooms is inspired by the interior decoration of private luxury yachts. Using sustainably grown (FSC-certified) mahogany and glossy finishes, the guest room furniture is custom-designed by Henry Leung for the hotel and manufactured and hand-finished by the Italian company Cassina. This century-old Italian design company is renowned for its custom furniture for luxury yachts. The spacious guest rooms feature artworks in elegant beige and white tones, with one wallpaper adorned with hand-embroidered Chinese floral patterns. Blue and white artworks inspired by Ming dynasty porcelain also decorate the guest room walls.
The guest room bathrooms showcase beautiful mosaic paintings, incorporating auspicious patterns such as goldfish.
The basic room types have an area of over 60 square meters and adopt a 'suite style,' equipped with separate bedrooms, living rooms, bathrooms, and walk-in closets, with complete facilities.
A total of 17 Beijing suites, each with an area of 165 square meters, feature spacious living and dining areas, as well as a large private walk-in closet adjoining the master bedroom. Each suite is equipped with a private cinema, allowing guests to enjoy first-run movies or revisit favorite classics in a private and comfortable environment, ideal for relaxing after sightseeing. If needed, the study can be converted into a second bedroom.
The loft-style duplex rooms on the top floor of the hotel are both stylish and elegant. These rare duplex rooms in China each have an area of 69 square meters, equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows, with the upper master bedroom and lower hall and living room offering unbeatable views of the capital, while the sofa bed in the living room can also serve as a second bedroom.

I absolutely adore this city
I have finally arrived at the long-awaited Peninsula Hotel in Wangfujing, Beijing. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I felt an unparalleled sense of luxury and comfort.
Entering the lobby, the lofty space and magnificent decoration made me feel as if I were in a palace of art. The staff greeted me warmly, and their professional and meticulous service attitude made me feel very welcome.
The room was even more breathtaking. The spacious layout was well-designed, and every detail showcased quality and taste. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The room was fully equipped with facilities to meet all my needs, whether for work or leisure.
The hotel's dining also left a deep impression on me. The restaurant offered a rich variety of dishes, each one a work of art, not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Dining here was simply a pleasure.
In addition, the hotel's recreational facilities were also outstanding. The gym was fully equipped, and the swimming pool was crystal clear, allowing me to relax even during a busy schedule.
During my stay at the Peninsula Hotel in Wangfujing, I experienced the ultimate in luxury. This place is not just somewhere to stay, but a haven where I can enjoy comfort and pleasure. Every moment was unforgettable, and I look forward to the opportunity to stay at this impressive hotel again.

The Peninsula Beijing Hotel The Dragon Boat Festival is not yet here, but the scent of zongzi is already in the air
🌿 The Dragon Boat Festival is not yet here, but the scent of zongzi is already in the air. Come to The Peninsula Beijing Hotel to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival in advance~
🎐 Chinese traditional festivals always have their unique charm, with dragon boat racing, eating zongzi, hanging mugwort leaves, and wearing fragrant pouches. The Dragon Boat Festival is a major folk festival that combines worshiping gods and ancestors, praying for blessings and warding off evil, as well as entertainment and food. This time at The Peninsula Beijing Hotel, you can even embroider a lotus mugwort fragrant pouch by hand, which really adds to the Chinese festival atmosphere!
🐉 The intangible cultural heritage inheritor, Ms. Zhu Hong, brought her exquisite Beijing embroidery works and explained in detail the meaning behind traditional costumes and the auspicious significance hidden in those beautiful embroidery patterns. Under her patient guidance, I also completed a lotus fragrant pouch filled with the scent of mugwort, and this Dragon Boat Festival blessing is just so beautiful~
🍙 At the Huang Ting Chinese restaurant, I also tasted this year's first delicious zongzi, with flavors including crab roe zongzi, egg yolk and fresh meat zongzi, golden silk date zongzi, and red bean paste zongzi. As someone who prefers savory zongzi, the rich and mellow egg yolk meat zongzi, and the crab roe zongzi with hand-pulled crab roe and crab powder, each one was fragrant and hit the spot perfectly; while the sweet date zongzi and the smooth and soft red bean paste zongzi also let me appreciate the charm of sweet zongzi. It turns out that it's not that sweet zongzi aren't tasty, but that I hadn't found the tasty ones yet!
🎋 This year's Dragon Boat Festival gift bag from The Peninsula Beijing is simply too stylish! The bamboo green color is full of fresh and elegant charm, the wooden handle reflects Chinese aesthetics, and the dragon pattern totem symbolizes good fortune and well-being. Unlike those 'too good to throw away' packaging gift boxes, this gift bag matches perfectly with modern Chinese-style clothing~

Check it out! The Peninsula Beijing Hotel still looks to the venerable Qian Feng Wangfu
When you think of The Peninsula, what comes to mind? It is the only hotel in Beijing that offers a full suite of accommodations, the first five-star hotel with a doorman, and its lobby lounge is always bustling with guests. Its custard mooncakes are sold out every year, and it boasts a Rolls-Royce custom-made 'Peninsula Green'.
The Peninsula Beijing Hotel was formerly the Beijing Wangfu Hotel, located at the foot of the Imperial City, close to the famous Wangfujing and Jinbao streets. The Peninsula Beijing occupies a bustling central location in China's capital and has a special collection of about 800 museum-quality paintings, sculptures, art installations, and photographs inspired by Chinese natural elements, landscapes, and crafts, presenting a gallery of art that spans ancient and modern times.
The hotel has 230 guest rooms and suites, with new rooms starting from 60 square meters. All rooms are designed with suite-style accommodations, equipped with separate bedrooms, living rooms, bathrooms, and dressing rooms.
The bathrooms are equipped with a spa mode, allowing guests to enjoy a simple spa experience in their room.
SPA: The Peninsula Spa features 12 advanced spa rooms, including two private spa suites, steam rooms, saunas, relaxation rooms, and a tea room, where Chinese tradition and modern elements blend together.
Additionally, families traveling with children particularly enjoy the hotel's location, as it's very convenient to take the kids for a bilingual presentation at the Forbidden City and visit Beijing's various famous historical sites!

Unboxing the signature 'Beijing Suite' at The Peninsula Beijing Hotel!
Happily settling into this 180㎡ home next to the Forbidden City in Goldfish Hutong, the Peninsula's rock-solid elegance and luxury subtly permeates my journey.
🌿The expansive space is truly rare in the heart of the densely packed capital, offering a moment of breathability that is sure to refresh both vacationers and business travelers alike🥂. A private cinema inside the room is a major highlight of the Beijing Suite! The sound system is tested to be outstanding, making for a luxurious way to while away the time before sleep.
💎The division of space is what I find astonishing about the Beijing Suite: turning right after entering is the work and entertainment area with a secondary bathroom, a study, and an independent mini-bar; turning left leads to the resting area: bedroom, dressing room, huge walk-in closet, and a master bathroom with views of the bustling street and a courtyard blooming with flowers. All spaces are arranged in a loop, circling back to the entrance without any awkward corners.
✨The room is full of heart-stirring details, especially the pads that control the whole house's smart system, which are available every few steps, bringing the quaint and elegant suite back to the forefront of convenience and comfort. While making coffee at the mini-bar in the dining room, open a radio station to listen to, and the music can seamlessly continue when you move to work in the study. The tea set is complete, and the tea is a freshly scented Biluochun, which relaxes you as the fragrance fills the air.
❤️The adorable bellboy chocolates, the hotel's unique and atmospheric scented bath products, and the vibrant purple roses complement each other beautifully. Seeing the handwritten letter from the GM is incredibly heartwarming.
☕After a sound night's sleep, don't forget to check out their breakfast. The Peninsula's breakfast is semi-buffet style, with main dishes ordered separately and other items self-served. I unapologetically started my happy day with a bowl of Nyonya-style laksa, and my husband also said the Eggs Benedict were delicious!

The service in Beijing was provided by the Wangfujing Peninsula Hotel
🌟 Background
The Peninsula Hotel is no stranger to many, having visited many times before, each time for afternoon tea or for photo shoots📷.
A friend wanted to stay at the Wangfujing Peninsula during their visit to Beijing, so I took this opportunity to introduce it to everyone. It left a deep impression on me and is highly recommended~
🌟 Environment
1️⃣ Style
From a distance, you can see the grand entrance with its red eaves and palace-like exterior, continuing the tradition of Chinese archways and facades. In the center of the lobby, there is a long staircase, very layered, with luxury stores on the first floor and a light luxury home store on the basement floor where you can also shop.
The first time I went was during Christmas, in collaboration with Chanel, with a green and black color scheme that was very stylish. The second time coincided with the visit of the Russian Prime Minister to China, staying here, and the lobby was filled with embassy staff, with violin performances in the center.
2️⃣ Surroundings
There are many luxury stores on the first floor of the hotel, and you can shop to your heart's content. The location is also excellent. It is 2 kilometers from the Forbidden City Museum, 4 kilometers from Beihai Park, and 5 kilometers from the Temple of Heaven and Earth Temple, covering all the sights you might want to visit nearby.
🌟 Facilities
1️⃣ Rooms
The interior is very new, and you are immediately attracted by the spacious and bright room upon entering. The bedding and toiletries are all branded and reassuring to use.
2️⃣ Dining
Such hotels actually have a rich variety of restaurants, Chinese, Western, buffet, whatever you want, they have it. And the afternoon tea every six months is hugely famous! You can enjoy it at the lobby tea lounge on the first floor! Scones!! Crumbly and not sticky! Officially reviewed as too delicious.
🌟 Service
The Peninsula is famous for its doorman service, professional and courteous. Any request will be accommodated as much as possible, and all guests are offered 24-hour check-in and check-out services. A well-established hotel is indeed trustworthy! If you don't want to stay but just want to take photos, you must go during Christmas!! It's incredibly beautiful.
🅿️ Parking: Underground parking at the Wangfujing Peninsula Hotel
🚇 Subway: 350 meters from Exit C of Dengshikou subway station, about a 5-minute walk

Wangfu Peninsula Hotel Loft Duplex Suite
This time I stayed in the loft-style duplex suite at the top of the Wangfu Peninsula Hotel in Beijing. Compared with the suites I have stayed in Beijing before, the duplex suite is exquisite and elegant..
The limited-time welcome gift 'London Phone Booth' is also a room welcome gift to celebrate the opening of the London Peninsula Hotel. I miss the days of traveling in London..
The weather in Beijing in autumn is really good, it is the rhythm of love, the leaves rustle, the southern geese chirp;
In the afternoon, I went to the Peninsula Spa for a 60-minute facial SPA and a 30-minute singing bowl healing. More and more people are beginning to pay attention to inner needs, this is probably a change of the times... Healing is also mine
In the evening, I tasted the new menu at Huangting. This new menu is probably the most amazing time I have been to Huangting. Friends who like Cantonese food hurry up and lock it

Experience the joy of being an emperor at the full-flavored Wangfu Peninsula
Location: The Peninsula Hotel is located at No. 8 Wangfujing Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing, with convenient transportation. It is very close to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street and the Forbidden City, making shopping and sightseeing super convenient!
Room type: I stayed in a deluxe room, which is spacious and bright, with a super large bed and a comfortable sofa chair, suitable for relaxing and watching movies at night. My favorite is their bathroom, the bathtub is big enough for two people to take a bath, and there is a separate shower room, the design is very considerate.
Restaurant: The breakfast at the Peninsula Hotel is really rich, with a variety of Chinese and Western foods for you to choose from, croissants, egg tarts, abalone porridge... each one is mouth-watering. And their afternoon tea, exquisite desserts with various teas, is simply a paradise for girls.
Entertainment facilities: The gym here is fully equipped, and there are professional coaches to guide. The swimming pool environment is superb, as if you are in a luxurious palace, it is really enjoyable to relax in a warm water pool at night!
Service: The service staff at the Peninsula Hotel are very professional and friendly. When I checked in, the front desk guy also enthusiastically introduced the local food and attractions.
