As I stepped onto the tram, I felt particularly excited. When the tram slowly started to ascend, my view began to change gradually. The beauty of Hong Kong Island unfolded before my eyes as the cityscape slowly emerged at the foot of the mountain. At the beginning, the tram's slope is very steep, giving a slight thrill. Trees and flowers on both sides quickly recede from the window, and as the altitude increases, the distant Victoria Harbour, the skyscrapers of Hong Kong Island, and even Kowloon on the opposite side gradually reveal themselves. The air is filled with a slight chill, making it particularly comfortable. After about ten minutes, the tram finally reaches the top of Victoria Peak. Upon disembarking, I was greeted by a spectacular and magnificent view. Standing on the observation deck at the peak, the entire scenery of Hong Kong is laid out before you, especially at sunset when the golden sunlight casts shimmering reflections on the sea, creating an incredibly beautiful sight. You can travel in many ways, such as taking a bus, taking a tram, or even walking on a trail. We chose to travel there by bus number 15 from the Central area, taking about 45 minutes. The road up the mountain is narrow and has many curves, very scary, but it's worth it when you see the view of Hong Kong Island along the way. The day we went was at the end of the year. The weather up there was very cold and windy. I can honestly say it was cold!! So cold that we had to run in place to avoid getting cold. On the way back, we changed to take the Peak Tram instead. I recommend that you hurry to line up at the front or back entrance of the tram so that you can take beautiful pictures. The fare for adults is HK$62 for a single trip and HK$88 for a round trip. You can pay with an Octopus card. When I saw the price, I thought to myself, why not just take the round trip? Why waste time taking the bus?😂 But wait, let me whisper that if you go on a holiday, taking the bus up there should be faster. We decided to stop by Mak’s Noodle, a legendary wonton noodle shop in Hong Kong. The taste was packed with deliciousness. The chewy noodles, the fragrant and flavorful soup, and the shrimp dumplings were so bouncy, making this meal so delicious that we almost wanted to order more. Central Market – An old market that combines the past and present In the afternoon, we decided to walk around Central Market, a place that used to be Hong Kong’s oldest wet market, which has now been renovated into a super chic community space. Here, there are both coffee shops and stylish shops. And a comfortable sitting area. Sipping hot tea and listening to the sound of rain hitting the glass roof in the atmosphere of the old market makes you feel the city's liveliness even on a wet day. Even though it rained all day, it didn't make this trip to Hong Kong boring. On the contrary, it made us see the quiet and romantic side of the city. Che Kung Temple looked more magical. - Went to Peak Tram at 11am. A lot of people lined up but easier to go since purchased our ticket via Trip.com - Able to ride in the right side of the tram going up - Had coffee in Pacific Coffee with a view - went up going to the Sky Terrace. Very windy during our visit but we’re able to see the view of the buildings below without the fog. Lots of pips but not too crowded - Had lunch in the Peak as there are a lot of restaurants - able to visit Half day. Allot 2-3hrs of your time. Visited this during our last day before going to the airport
