You can comfortably reach Victoria Peak by taking the Peak Tram. Most visitors purchase a combined ticket for the Peak Tram and Sky Terrace 428. For the best views while riding the Peak Tram to Victoria Peak, sit on the right side. Similarly, when descending, it's recommended to sit on the left side.

The tram route is 1.365km, approximately 10 minutes ride, providing a unique and steep journey uphill. If the queue for the tram is too long, you can visit Madame Tussauds nearby while waiting. Another option is to hike up to The Peak, which takes about an hour for those who prefer a more active approach. At The Peak Tower, you can explore shops and grab a bite on the lower floors before heading to the highest level—the Sky Terrace 428. From there, you’ll be greeted with a breathtaking panoramic view of Hong Kong’s stunning skyscrapers and the luxurious residential areas nestled in the hills. In the bustling city of Hong Kong, there is a place where you can look down at the concrete jungle from above, and that is Victoria Peak. Taking the Peak Tram is a wonderful journey, not only offering a panoramic view of the city but also providing a historical experience. The tram starts at Central on Hong Kong Island, the commercial hub of the city, where the bustling crowds and skyscrapers make you feel the rhythm of urban life. As I stepped onto the tram, I felt particularly excited. When the tram slowly started to ascend, my view began to change gradually. The beauty of Hong Kong Island unfolded before my eyes as the cityscape slowly emerged at the foot of the mountain. At the beginning, the tram's slope is very steep, giving a slight thrill. Trees and flowers on both sides quickly recede from the window, and as the altitude increases, the distant Victoria Harbour, the skyscrapers of Hong Kong Island, and even Kowloon on the opposite side gradually reveal themselves. The air is filled with a slight chill, making it particularly comfortable. After about ten minutes, the tram finally reaches the top of Victoria Peak. Upon disembarking, I was greeted by a spectacular and magnificent view. Standing on the observation deck at the peak, the entire scenery of Hong Kong is laid out before you, especially at sunset when the golden sunlight casts shimmering reflections on the sea, creating an incredibly beautiful sight. At the peak, there is also a famous Hong Kong landmark—the Peak Tower, which houses an observation restaurant. I couldn't resist enjoying a cup of coffee here, savoring the leisure. Sitting by the window, the surrounding scenery and delicious food made for the perfect combination. Here, I could easily relax and feel the unique atmosphere of the city. After the delightful tram journey, I couldn't help but feel that the Peak Tram is not just a means of transportation but an excellent Hong Kong experience. As I descended the mountain, my heart was filled with love for this city, looking forward to returning to explore more possibilities. In the bustling city, having such a place to escape and feel the beauty of nature is truly a blissful enjoyment.

A lot of people lined up but easier to go since purchased our ticket via Trip.com - Able to ride in the right side of the tram going up - Had coffee in Pacific Coffee with a view - went up going to the Sky Terrace. Very windy during our visit but we’re able to see the view of the buildings below without the fog. Lots of pips but not too crowded - Had lunch in the Peak as there are a lot of restaurants - able to visit Half day. Allot 2-3hrs of your time. Go up to Victoria Peak in Hong Kong with the Peak Tram. Easy to get to the tram station from the John’s Cathedral bus station. You can previously buy your Tram ticket on Trip. We bought the Tram and Sky Terrace entrance ticket, which was totally worth, as you can see the beautiful view on the picture. Taking the tram is also super fun, and not that busy if you go early in the early afternoon #hongkong #victoriapeak

Started off with the cable car trip to the Buddha statue! Was a great experience but the wait in the beginning was very long so don’t go mid day try to get there early or late in the evening to beat the rush. ⛰️🌅 Then straight to the tram ride which we would suggest to buy the tickets with the madam tuseads tickets as you get to skip the 2 hour long queue.
