The winter is gradually getting stronger in Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum
🌟Highlights:
🌟Highlights:
Just into December, a cold wave suddenly blew into Nanjing, and the temperature dropped by seven or eight degrees. Thinking that there should not be many people traveling in such cold weather, I invited a few good friends to drive directly into the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum scenic area to see the golden ginkgo and appreciate the red maple leaves.
Unexpectedly, as soon as the car entered the scenic area, I saw a constant stream of tourists coming and going. Under the ginkgo tree and in the maple forest, long guns and short cannons and mobile phone poles were incompatible with each other, competing for superiority. The red maple and ginkgo reflected each other, casting mottled soft light in the warm sun of winter.
❤Recommended reason:
Coming to the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum scenic area is not just to see the mausoleum, its natural environment is also first-class. No matter spring, summer, autumn or winter, it has beautiful scenery and colors that make people linger. Although the ticket price is not cheap, it still does not reduce the interest of tourists. Free for 70 years old, half price for over 60 years old, shuttle bus is not free🙅🏻♂️No discount

The red maple in Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum is really red!!! It looks better on sunny days
Many trees are bright, besides the rouge snow area, there are also some scattered in other places
Now the effect of ◎Shixiang Road is not particularly good, many leaves have fallen and only dry branches are left
But the red maple and the water shirt by Yanque Lake are also very attractive is the guide map of Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, the approximate location of the attractions are original pictures, no filter, there are also live pictures1

Ming Tomb
Location:明孝陵
Located at Mingling gong subway station on line 2 . This Mausoleum is one of the historic site that tells the story of Nanjing. It houses the tomb of one of the emperors of China and holds a lot of stories and sentiments. It is located inside the purple mountains and tickets at around 70 RMB for adults . There is a park inside where you can interact with cute deers and other animals . Towards the tomb , there is a lineup of impressive statues of mystical creatures. An interesting place to be to learn the history of China and enjoy some activities as well. ( hiking , picnic , sightseeing etc) .#nanjing #purplemountain #campingglamping #mytripvlog

History on a Grand Scale in Nanjing
#tripblazers #couplestrip #nanjing
The tomb of the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty can be found right here in Nanjing. Zhu Yuanzhang was buried here in 1398 and in modern times, it has become a popular tourist destination. The highlight for me were the intricately carved, 600 year old steps, that boasts dragon heads on each corner. There are many more building to explore inside, leading up to the incredible treasure mound in the mountain side.

Ming Mausoleum: perfect rainy day outing
You can buy a combined ticket, valid for two days, to see most of the historical attractions in the area. You need to buy it through a mini-app and it only costs ¥100. We went to Zixia lake and and the mausoleum and could have easily stayed a few more hours exploring the paths through the forest. It rained intermittently but was still an amazing experience. My suggestion is to bring your own tea/coffee and snacks. We ended up staying past 7pm and had to ask for help leaving the area as the gates were closed. 🤭 there weren’t many people around that day, but I feel like the place is so big that even if the weather had been more clement it would not have too crowded. 10/10 would go again.

Xiaoling Mausoleum is an unmissable scenic spot in Nanjing. I recommend entering through the No. 3 gate, as you get a fantastic view of the trees, with their red, yellow, and green leaves reflected in the water. The path you'll walk is over 600 years old, and flanked on both sides by stone statues, there to guard the tomb of the Ming Emperor Taizu.

In the fall, the most beautiful part of Jinling is the Zhongshan Scenic Area. There are many tourist attractions here, such as Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, Meiling Palace, Linggu Temple and so on. Even a random Wutong Avenue in the mountains can be amazing in the fall. In the Wutong Avenue in the mountains, the leaves of the phoenix tree are all yellow, and when the wind blows, it falls a lot with the wind.
In the early morning, the fallen leaves had not yet been swept away and when I walked on it, it made a sound. This road is my favourite one. In the summer, the trees are shaded by the sun. It is a rare summer resort. The golden leaves in autumn are very charming. It is not as nice in the winter since there is a trace of desolateness and depression. The best place to take pictures here is the stone road in Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum.

Short weekend can also experience RV life. I went to Nanjing five years ago to revisit the old place. Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum is the tomb of the founding emperor and queen of the Ming Dynasty. The light of the morning penetrated the yellowish leaves

✅Yanque Lake
Take Metro Line 2 to Muxuyuan Station, Exit 1, and navigate to Gate 3 of Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. You can take panoramic photos of the bald cypress trees at the entrance of the scenic area. There are many colorful cypress trees on the shore and swans in the lake. You can take colorful photos easily!
✅Changsheng Deer Park
Walk along the left side of Gate 3 to Changsheng Deer Park, where you can buy a bag of deer grass to feed the deer! The deer here are clean and polite, and they have various colors and patterns. It is very suitable for children to interact with them.
✅Shixiang Road Sacred Way
After visiting the deer park, go to Shixiang Road, which is also known as the "most beautiful 600 meters in Nanjing." There are 12 pairs of stone animals on both sides of the road, and the vegetation on both sides of the road is very rich. The fallen leaves in autumn are very dreamy.
✅Rouge Snow
After visiting Shixiang Road, walk towards Gate 5. On the left is the Fukuoka Friendship Cherry Blossom Garden. You can see cherry blossoms in spring and maple leaves in autumn. You must go to "Rouge Snow Pavilion" to experience the magnificence of red maple and gardens. Early December is the best time to see maple leaves!

Exit Gate 5 and cross the overpass to overlook Wutong Avenue! However, the sycamore trees have almost fallen recently, and the photos may be a little bald. From time to time, a small train will pass by, and the photos are quite interesting!

Nanjing has officially entered the most beautiful time to enjoy autumn
Recommended autumn viewing route 🍁
✅ Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum → Wutong Avenue → Music Stage
.
🔶 Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum:
Enter before 6:30 am for free, recommended before 6:30 am (take a taxi to the entrance of Gate 5 of Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, reserve ten minutes to walk into the park), you can check in at Shixiang Road first, and then check in at the bald cypress of Yanque Lake
🔶 Wutong Avenue:

The flock of pigeons flying is a matter of luck. Sometimes they fly twice in a row, and sometimes they don't fly even after waiting for two hours. Be patient and wait

Don’t miss Jinling’s autumn appreciation guide for the last 20 days of autumn.
The temperature in Nanjing will drop significantly next week, and we will finally usher in the best period of autumn scenery.
The weather this year is abnormal, the autumn colors have been delayed, and the tallow trees are now in full bloom
The ginkgo trees are changing color and many have lost their leaves. I’m afraid the ginkgo trees won’t be ideal this year.
Red maples can be the focus of this year, and it will be fine until early December.
The phoenix trees were already turning a little yellow at this time last year, but now they are also postponed, and they will all disappear after early December.
.
🐝The No. 1 place to enjoy autumn—Zhongshan Scenic Area
Early November: Chinese tallow tree: Ming Xiaoling Stone Elephant Road, Botanical Garden South Park
Ginkgo biloba in mid-to-late November: Xiaoling Mausoleum of Ming Dynasty, Wuliang Hall of Linggu Temple
Red maples at the end of November: Red maples in the North Garden of the Botanical Garden, Ming Xiaoling Rouge Snow Pavilion
Wutong in late November: Lingyuan Road, Linggu Temple Road, Zijinshan Road
In addition, the cypress trees in Yanque Lake are now partially red. The red, green and yellow colors are also very beautiful. They will be completely red by the end of the month.
There is also a niche photo spot, Liuhuixie, which is close to the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum Music Stage and is suitable for going at the end of the month.
.
🍂Appreciate Ginkgo biloba
In addition to Zhongshan, there are also many ginkgo trees in the urban area.

There are so many phoenix trees in Nanjing that they are everywhere. This is also a characteristic of Nanjing.
In addition to Lingyuan Road and Linggusi Road, Yihe Road Block and Southeast University are recommended in the urban area.
.
🌲 Metasequoia
The first is Yanque Lake deciduous cypress
Other more beautiful forests include Liuhe Zhimaling, Chishan Lake Park, and Ginkgo Lake Paradise, but they are all relatively far away.

Nanjing | Second visit to Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, finally captured the most beautiful red spider lilies in Nanjing. The best places to see red spider lilies are Linggu Temple and Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum.
I actually came to take photos on a rainy day last week, so today is my second visit.
I guessed that this area would be in full bloom today, and sure enough, the red spider lilies, which are said to bloom on the road to the underworld, are also depicted as heavenly flowers in Buddhist scriptures.
When the sunlight falls on them,
You will see a mirage of layers and colors, and you will feel like you have entered another world.

Nanjing | The pavilions know first, the gardens sense autumn first.
| The pavilions know first, the gardens sense autumn first.
It was really hard for Nanjing to have an autumn rain, which gave me the chance to enjoy this garden alone.
When I looked up, the leaves started to change color, and the Koelreuteria trees were in bloom.
Honglou Yiwenyuan was unusually quiet today.
I walked around Taixu Huanjing, Xiaoxiangguan, Longcuian, Dilucao Pavilion, Haitangyin Club, and Qiaoting, all of which are related to "A Dream of Red Mansions." Typical Chinese classical gardens have solid white walls and hollow windows, solid flowers and trees and hollow shadows, solid lake stones and hollow pond water.
This is what makes the rhythm and ethereal beauty of this place. The rain in the garden is even more aesthetically pleasing in the oriental style. Even the names of every corner reflect the elegance of Jiangnan literati.
All photos were taken on November 10, 2024. Honglou Yiwenyuan is located in the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum Scenic Area.

Explore the romantic autumn of the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum with this free ticket guide!
The Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum is absolutely stunning in autumn! And there's a great benefit now: you can enter the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum for free before 6:30 am (the regular ticket price is CNY 65). You can enjoy this discount no matter which gate you enter from. Isn't that exciting?
Let's talk about the beautiful scenery of the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum in autumn. The Sacred Way is recognized as the most beautiful spot, with a 600-meter-long road that seems to have been painted by nature. The ginkgo, tallow, and maple trees have all changed into colorful autumn clothes, with golden, fiery red, and orange colors intertwined, creating a strong autumn atmosphere. If you get up early, you might encounter the Tyndall effect near the Sacred Way at around 7 or 8 am. The sunlight shines through the gaps in the leaves, forming golden rays of light, as if you have entered a fairy tale world. You'll be deeply touched by the romantic feeling!
The bald cypress trees near Gate 3 are also beautiful, slowly turning red. The red, yellow, and green colors are reflected in the lake, creating a stunning view. After entering from Gate 3, you can see Yanque Lake along the route. The clear water and the changing trees around it create a beautiful picture.
Further ahead is the Changsheng Deer Park, where you can interact with cute deer up close, feed them, and take photos. It's super fun. Further ahead is the famous Sacred Way, where the ancient stone elephants, stone beasts, and other stone statues add a touch of ancient mystery in the autumn.
By the way, the red maple trees at Yanzhixue will become super beautiful in a while. The mountains will be covered with red leaves, creating a poetic and picturesque scene. You must check it out. Finally, when you exit from Gate 5, you'll pass by the Wutong Avenue Overpass. The tall wutong trees on both sides have a unique charm in autumn.
How can we forget about food recommendations? There are some local snacks near the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum that you must try. For example, plum blossom cake, which is soft and glutinous, sweet but not greasy, and topped with red dates, nuts, and more. It's a mouthful of happiness. There's also duck blood vermicelli soup, with its delicious broth, smooth vermicelli, tender duck blood, and various duck offal. It's truly unforgettable.
However, please note that there may be many people enjoying the autumn scenery, especially on weekends and holidays. So try to set off early to enjoy the beautiful scenery and avoid the crowds. I hope everyone has a wonderful autumn time at the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum!

Overall, the architecture of Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum is solemn and simple, with high artistic value. The architecture combines the essence of ancient Chinese and Western architecture, giving a sense of solemnity, simplicity, and elegance. In addition, the surrounding environment of Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum is also a major feature. 🕙 Time: November 7, 2023, noon
🤳 Location: Yanquan Lake, Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum
📸 Photo Tips
The long shot was taken on the bridge and slope at Gate 3 of Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum.
The close-up was taken inside the scenic area. You can take photos on the bridge without buying a ticket.
But if you go inside, you can take close-ups of the bald cypress and black swans.
There is no shade outside the scenic area, so it's best to take photos at 4 pm.
There is shade inside the scenic area, so you don't have to worry about the light being too strong.
🧥 Outfit Tips
The temperature in Nanjing will drop in the next week, so you can bring a light jacket.
I recommend white, red, or this year's popular Millard colors.
But if the weather is good, I recommend wearing a fluffy mohair sweater.
The afternoon light shines through the leaves of the bald cypress trees.
The texture of mohair looks great in backlit photos.
Or you can wear a colorful mohair scarf like me.

Recommended Tour Routes:
Classic Route: Enter from Gate 5 (Dajinmen). Dajinmen is the main gate of the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. Entering from here allows you to tour the entire mausoleum. After entering, you can see the Shengong Shengde Stele Pavilion (Square City), where the stele records the great achievements of Zhu Yuanzhang. Then, walk along the Sacred Way, which is divided into two sections. The first section is Shixiang Road, which is 615 meters long. Along the way, there are six types of stone animals: lions, xiezhi, camels, elephants, qilin, and horses, each with two pairs, totaling 12 pairs and 24 pieces. These stone animals are carved from whole boulders using round carving techniques, with smooth and rounded lines and a grand atmosphere. After walking through Shixiang Road, you will reach the Wengzhong Road Sacred Way, where there is a pair of watch pillars, two pairs of generals, and two pairs of civil officials. The civil officials and generals are solemn and dignified. Then, you will reach the Wuwenfang Gate, and after entering, you will find the Xiangdian Hall, which was once the place where the spirit tablets of Zhu Yuanzhang and Empress Ma were enshrined. However, the original building has been destroyed, and what you see now is a later reconstruction. Further on is the Fangcheng Minglou, which is built on top of the Fangcheng and is the highest point of the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. The roof of the building was destroyed by fire during the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, and only the brick walls remain. Finally, climb the Minglou to overlook the entire Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, and then enter the Baoding through the tunnel of the Fangcheng. The Baoding is the tomb of Zhu Yuanzhang, where there is a huge tomb mound.
Quick Route (for those with limited time): If you are short on time, you can enter from Gate 3 and go directly to the Wengzhong Road Sacred Way, then visit the Fangcheng Minglou and Baoding. This way, you can see the main attractions of the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum in a shorter time.
Best Time to Visit:
The Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum offers different scenery in each season. In spring and summer, the trees are lush, and autumn is the most beautiful season. The colored trees on both sides of Shixiang Road change color, and the mix of colors is called the "most beautiful 600 meters." The best viewing period is generally from late October to mid-November, and the overall viewing period can last until around December. In winter, if it snows, the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum is covered in snow, giving it a unique ancient charm.
Special Experiences:
