We stayed at The Luigans Spa and Resort 😁 📍It was great The sea stretches out and there is an aquarium on the other side. In the summer, there is a night pool where you can enjoy BBQ and drinks. I moved to the steakhouse, where the seating is at a counter surrounded by a teppan grill. The smiling chef who initially guided me was in charge of the right table, while a chef resembling a member of Arashi welcomed me at the left table. The semi-circular teppan grill is divided into 90-degree sections without partitions, creating a shared yet separate dining experience. At my side, there were two couples and myself, while the smiling chef's table included a family of four with two children and two elegant middle-aged women. The course consisted of nine dishes served over 90 minutes, with most ingredients sourced from Kyushu. The meat included 50 grams each of Miyazaki beef and Hakata beef, along with portions for steak burgers and sushi. Watching the ingredients sizzle on the teppan and then melt in my mouth was a fleeting yet delightful experience. Conversations with the chef added to the enjoyment throughout the meal. I learned that the chef had worked at the With the Style location for a long time before transferring to the Luigans location this May. I chose the restaurant's namesake medium rare for the cooking style, but considering some parts had tendons, medium might have been a better choice. Although the smiling chef wasn't in charge of my table, sitting near the boundary allowed for several exchanges of smiles without conversation. The next day, during checkout, we happened to cross paths and exchanged a friendly wave 👋. Thank you.

For the first night of our 2-day trip to Fukuoka, we stayed at The Luigans Spa & Resort, a resort hotel located near Uminonakamichi Station. The hotel is just a 3-minute walk from Marine World and offers ocean-view rooms overlooking Fukuoka city. However, the surrounding area is quite isolated, with no convenience stores or restaurants within a 3-kilometer radius. Although it takes about 40 minutes by train from Hakata Station, the location is still within Fukuoka city. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus to Hakata Station, running about 10 times a day during peak season and 5 times a day during off-peak season. The journey takes over an hour. Alternatively, you can take a high-speed ferry from Hakata Port or Momochi Port, which takes about 25 minutes but costs around 1,200 yen one way. Since the shuttle schedule didn’t align with our arrival time, we took the train to the hotel and planned to take the 12 PM shuttle back to Hakata. Check-in starts at 4 PM, so we spent some time in Hakata before taking the JR train with one transfer, arriving at the hotel around 5:30 PM. We were assigned a room on the top floor (7th floor), located centrally but slightly to the side, offering an ocean view of the outdoor pool and Hakata Port. Although we didn’t receive an upgrade, the room seemed to be a good one. The high ceiling with a spinning ceiling fan added to the resort ambiance. Planes pass by every 5–10 minutes, and the view of Fukuoka city across the sea offered a fresh perspective, even after visiting Fukuoka over 30 times. Compared to the Karatsu Seaside Hotel we visited in May, this solo staycation had a different vibe. I separately reserved the self-service afternoon tea and the steak dinner course, which were charged to the room. After dinner, I enjoyed a night walk and admired the night view. Being a humid late summer coastal area, there’s a warning for cockroaches, but you won’t encounter them unless you actively seek them out. The hotel also features a spa and large public bath, which are free and unlimited for guests, though it’s not a hot spring. The outdoor pool is free during the day, and the night pool party is available at a 50% discount for 2,500 yen. Rental fees apply for swimwear and other items. The room is equipped with an 80-inch smart TV, allowing you to enjoy videos on a large screen. The welcome gifts included nuts, Nespresso coffee, alcoholic beverages, and popcorn from the minibar, making it convenient to enjoy a drink and snack in the room even without a convenience store nearby. After the pool party ended around 10 PM, only the public bath remained open. The last admission is at 11:30 PM, and it closes at midnight. After a night stroll, I visited the public bath and then fell asleep while watching the live performance of Baby Monster’s Kanazawa concert. I woke up around 5:30 AM and relaxed in the rocking chair, waiting for the sunrise. Although the sky was cloudy and I couldn’t see the sunrise, the clear weather made for a beautiful morning. Breakfast is by reservation, with three time slots: 6:45 AM, 8:00 AM, and 9:15 AM. I naturally chose the first slot, as the Japanese tend to prefer the earliest time, making it the busiest. I was seated by the window where the night pool party had been held, enjoying breakfast with the morning sunlight. The mentaiko was of excellent quality, and sparkling wine was also available. There was a wide variety of fruits as well. Breakfast costs 3,800 yen if ordered separately. Usually, I book a room with breakfast included if it’s reasonably priced, but if the room is offered at a special rate, I add breakfast on-site. With a late check-out at 12 PM, I rented an electric bicycle at 8 AM and headed to Shikanoshima. The island is about 6 kilometers from the hotel, accessible via a mix of bike paths and two-lane roads. I cycled around the island and also visited Uminonakamichi Park. A sudden downpour delayed my return by about 50 minutes, and I got back to the hotel around 11 AM. I used a bath additive for a relaxing half-bath before completing check-out at 11:50 AM and taking the shuttle bus back to Hakata. The 174th trip to Japan is a 1-night, 2-day itinerary to Fukuoka. Following trips in March and May, this time it's another 1-night, 2-day visit to Fukuoka. This trip is a relaxing hotel staycation mode, staying at a hotel near the Fukuoka sea with 1 night and 3 meals included. For afternoon tea, I will participate in the regular session twice, once each day. On the first day, I have booked a self-service mini afternoon tea and a steak full-course dinner, and on the second day, a mini kaiseki lunch set. Including breakfast on the second day, all six meals are pre-booked. I have made reservations for restaurants at 3 PM, 6 PM, and 7 PM on the first day, and at 7 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM on the second day. As long as I stick to the schedule, everything will go smoothly. In Japan, there is a culture of giving preferential treatment to those who make reservations, so it is 100 times better to book meals in advance. The travel route is simple: airport-Hakata-hotel-Hakata-airport. On the first night, since the hotel is in a secluded area, I plan to take a train with two transfers to visit a nearby Starbucks if it doesn't rain. On the morning of the second day, I have a 3-hour cycling island tour planned. Of course, these two activities will be canceled in case of rain and replaced with Plan B. The afternoon tea on the second day includes an onsen experience. Although I stayed at this hotel last year for afternoon tea, the restaurant was rebranded and reopened in July this year, so I am revisiting it. This trip is a quiet stay entirely within Fukuoka City, so I plan to look for new manholes but will skip collecting manhole cards, making it a more relaxed journey. Breakfast is brilliant! Next level room view. With shuttle bus between the Hearts Bus Station and the resort, making it very convenient to reach or leave the resort. You can refer to my picture to see the bus timetable. Close to the seaside park, great cycling place with a little zoo! Also, an aquarium is just 2 minutes’ away. Nice swimming pool! Perfect for families to have water fun. Night pool charges an extra fee but is available to adults only!

#FukuokaHotelGo to Fukuoka to see Hakata, Tenshin Hotels will really collapse, small and expensive, Japanese accommodation this space is too "mini". I really didn't want to be "cut leeks" by the small room, so I simply went to the remote suburbs to look for it, and found a superb family as a result! It is The Luigans Spa and Resort, which is simply a ceiling for value for money! Less than 700r a night, just pay a little city tax at the store. Downstairs is the beach, you can go for a walk, see the sunset night view, super relaxing. The hotel also has a free shuttle bus to and from Hakata Station, so even if you miss the shuttle, you can come back by tram or mini train, making it easier to drive yourself. I didn't have much luggage and staying here was much more comfortable than nesting in a small room in the city. If you don't mind a little further distance, pursue high value for money, want to enjoy the seaside vacation feeling sisters, highly recommend this! I really found a treasure, you might as well consider it when you go to Fukuoka~

The spa facilities were excellent—I especially enjoyed the massage and outdoor pool area. The on-site restaurant served fresh seafood and delicious Japanese dishes. One thing to keep in mind is that the hotel is a bit far from central Fukuoka, so transportation options are limited unless you have a car. However, if you’re looking for a relaxing seaside retreat, this place is perfect. I left feeling completely refreshed and would love to return for another stay. There is an aquarium, a large park, and a pool nearby, so you can enjoy it all day. It seems good for families with children. The downside is that some rooms are noticeably old. However, the exterior and interior are very stylish with an overseas feel, and the light blue of the sky and the pink of the building are super cute. The breakfast was colorful, and the plates in particular were so cute that I was soothed. The rice was also very delicious. #cherryblossom2024 The Luigans Spa & Resort is one the the let friendly resort in Fukuoka. If you wanted to traveling with your fur kids this is the best resort for you. The room is spacious coming with two double bed in twin room. Which is spacious can stay up to 4 person: the bath room size just normal but come with full set of bath amenities. Services was great and staff are friendly and helpful. Loving the stay and vibes in this resort. Highly recommended if you coming for you cherry blossom stay.

I was torn between them and decided on red💕 And there were five main dishes to choose from.
