The Essence of the Great Wall Route: Panlongshan - Jinshanling - Simatai West
Gubeikou is the essence of the Great Wall in Beijing. The Great Wall here was built during the Northern Qi and Ming Dynasties, and most of it remains in its original, unrestored state. The scenery along the route is beautiful and less crowded, making it ideal for team hiking, couples, and family outings. It is recommended to spend 4-5 hours playing. It takes 2 hours to drive from Beijing to Gubeikou Village. You can start at 10 am to avoid the peak hours. After the hike, you can enjoy the sunset at Jinshanling before returning to Beijing.
