[2025 Kuala Lumpur Shopping Mall] Travel Guide for The Exchange TRX (Updated Apr)

A new and popular mall in Kuala Lumpur! I went on a food tour of TRX, so I'd like to introduce some recommended shops! [ChaTraMue - The Exchange TRX] A popular Thai tea shop has come to Malaysia! Instead of their famous Thai milk tea, I ordered lemon tea with 30% sweetness. The tea itself is quite strong and bitter, so it's a little hard to drink, but it tasted the same as in Thailand. I still recommend the Thai milk tea! I would be even happier if they offered soft serve ice cream like in Thai stores! [NakNak] I tried the gochujang chicken and rice. The meat was too oily in some places, and the sauce was too sweet. It was sweet like ketchup, so I got tired of eating it all the time. The rice was also just okay, and didn't go well with the gochujang chicken. To be honest, it might not suit Japanese tastes. I hope they make various improvements and grow even more in the future. [Ben's Cookies - The Exchange TRX] A cookie shop from the UK that has arrived in Malaysia for the first time! They sell a wide variety of cookies in the same size as the real thing. I had to line up for a bit, but I was able to buy them right away. I bought matcha white chocolate and cranberry white chocolate. As expected, the taste was delicious, and I highly recommend it to people who like soft cookies! The cans are cute, so please try them. [108 Matcha Saro - The Exchange TRX] A store specializing in matcha and roasted green tea sweets. There is also an eat-in space. I tried the 108 Matcha LOVE Parfait, and it was a parfait full of matcha, including warabi mochi, matcha jelly, matcha ice cream, and matcha sauce. I think it was a bit expensive, but it was filling and overall a good sweet experience. The matcha obanyaki baked by the staff in front of the store also looked delicious. #traveldiaries Venchi Getaleria originates from Italy and they had their first outlet in Malaysia when TRX is completed, so we decided to give it a try. Price is set at RM33 for 2 flavours; 41 for three and 48 for four, so of course we chose the one with 4 flavours aince there are a total of four of us. There are around 20 plus flavours for us to choose from, and we chose pistachio, mango, tiramisu and berries. The gelato is very smooth and full of original flavour, and we can say that every flavour is really up to its standard. Go with more people to share out the price by ordering more flavours, is one of the best tactic to enjoy this luxurious ice cream.

There is a tunnel with 10 colous of lanterns which you can cross through and take wonderful pictures, and there are also uniquely decorated lanterns at the stairways and corridors around the foyer. We really like the vibes there and there are also some activities organized as well. The mid-autumn festival is well spent and we really enjoyed that day.

Ordered a cup of hot latte with their single origin coffee bean, it gives a full bodied nutty profile and surprisingly goes very well with the froth milk, balance out the heavy profile and not letting the coffee overpowering the whole cup of latte. Will definitely pay another visit for their pastry!

It is very spacious and there are a lot of choices to shop or eat. Long queues can be observed at every famous eatery. You can get some big cafe name here like VCR and Kenny Hill Bakers The roof top park is the game changer for the mall. Can't wait for the Apple Store to open . A newly open premise of mall and looks very elegent and expensive. Newly open in November 2023, it smells new and here and here and there, also got people taking pictures including me. And its also festival upcoming on December. Plenty of tourist also comes here using mrt and surely more new premises will be open soon Easy access with 2 MRT lines directly link to the mall. Very big mall with lots of branded stores. The interior and Christmas decorations are worth to have a look. There is an outdoor garden and playground at the top floor.
