Wujiang River. To be a hero in life, and a mighty ghost in death. Even now, I think of Xiang Yu, who refused to cross the east of the river. The famous female poet Li Qingzhao's poem 'Wujiang', which commemorates the overlord Xiang Yu of the Western Chu, expresses Xiang Yu's pride, tragic heroism, and her admiration for him vividly. As a war god-like overlord in the chaotic end of the Qin Dynasty, a general who won every battle, Xiang Yu only lost once in his life. The defeat in the Battle of Gaixia marked the end of the hero. For dignity, he would rather die than surrender, and he did not want to return to the east of the river. Xiang Yu, who had nowhere to go, committed suicide in the Wujiang River at the age of thirty-one.
