Price per Person - $$ Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A hidden gem in the East of Singapore , just before the changi boardwalk! This Café/Restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seatings. It is also Pet Friendly, however only for outdoor seatings. They have an extensive list of Alcohol, wine, cocktail and beer should you fancy a weekend brunch with booze! My personal favourite is the “Settlement’s Big Breakfast” might even be good for two small eaters to share! Their Singaporean food menu are also great, the TCS nasi Lemak, Hokkien Mee all boasts a lot of ingredients! The restaurant is decorated with many antiques, cluttered yet classy! Staffs here are incredibly attentive and polite, Service is awesome. There’s also a “call for service button” on every table so you’ll not need to wave your hands just to get attention! A hidden gem of Easties! The Coastal Settlement is a lovely cafe situated along the Changi coastline. The place offers an opportunity to get away from the city and appreciate nature with the big land it has. Feel free to opt for a picnic basket and head down for an outdoor picnic instead 😍 Parking is free thought limited! There is also a bicycle shop here. Very cute for dates and family outings with children. 💕 Pawrents will be delighted to know that this place is pet-friendly for outdoor seatings and your dogs can enjoy a nice run at their spacious lawn 🐶🐶🐶 Food IS on the pricier side and be expected to pay around $540-50 pp for food and drinks! #foodie #cafe #urbanexplorer

#singaporetrip Spending last sunday hanging out at The Coastal Settlement , a beautiful restaurant nestled within lush greenery in Changi area. Every corner of this restaurant is decorated with vintage theme, so pretty! They have outdoor seating too. Ordered their waffle stack ($16) and rock melon lychee juice ($12), price is before tax and service. The waffle portion is a bit small, its a soft waffle type, topped with banana, strawberry, nutella, maple syrup and dark chocolate ice cream. Rock melon lyche is refreshing and not overly sweet. Want to escape the city and be brought back to the old times while dining? Cozy and homey meal but outside the concrete Singapore? Visit The Coastal Settlement and dine with nostalgia as companion. The restaurant is located at 200 Netheravon Road. It may be hidden in the East but I can assure you, you won't regret coming here. We arrived on a rainy saturday afternoon hungry and cold. The menu was presented like a newspaper! We ordered food and cocktails. Cocktails being perfect for the rainy weather is what my colleague and I have agreed upon while ordering. Haha. You wouldn't really mind waiting for the food as there's a lot to talk about in the restaurant. Every knick-knack will surely invoke a certain memory. Food arrived and we just chowed down as we were both hungry coming from the office. The food we ordered were great and so were the cocktails. After paying our bill, we then started to go around the restaurant meticulously. As there were not much people, we were able to take lots of pictures. I saw from the website that they also serve afternoon tea and beleieved the restaurant would be a great setting for hangout with friends and family. As much as the restaurant is deemed for casual dining, the restaurant would also be a perfect date night location for sure. We used the restaurant as our starting point of walking down to Changi beach while discovering lots of sights to see along the way. The Coastal Settlement was such a great experience! This restaurant not only has delicious seafood dishes, but what attracted us more was its unique and interesting style. Located on a very large site, its decoration is a mixture of British and old Shanghai elements, which really made us feel like we have entered another time and space~! 🏰 Settlement style: A combination of British and old Shanghai styles 🖼 Decoration: The floor-to-ceiling windows are spacious and bright, very suitable for taking photos and checking in 🌊 Garden Grassland: Sit on the grass and feel the unique atmosphere 🦀 Chilli Crab with eggs We ordered their signature Chilli Crab with eggs and Fish & Chips. Chili crab is a specialty of Singapore. The chili crab here is very authentic, the crab meat is tender and juicy, and it is even more delicious when paired with egg juice~ 🐟 Fish & Chips As for Fish & Chips, the fried fish is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and paired with crispy French fries, the taste is superb! 🥒 Cucumber Lemonade Cucumber lemon juice is refreshing and slightly sour, very suitable for pairing with seafood, cooling off and relieving greasiness, it is definitely a must-drink~! In addition to the delicious food, the environment here is really charming. Whether it is the interior decoration style or the open space outdoors, it makes people feel comfortable and relaxed. The Coastal Settlement is a quirky, antiques-filled restaurant & bar with an eclectic international menu & a leafy garden patio. For this post, I brought my wife there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We ordered lamb chop, beef steak with rosti, mushroom soup and red wine. Oh my, they were all so delicious. It is an ideal place to unwind your soul as it has a sophisticated charm about its environment. The interiors are very earthy with warm light against the wooden furniture, sents of fresh roast and crystalline chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
