Afternoon Tea, a fusion of East and West!
Chen's Kitchen, located in the Charter House in Causeway Bay, is a newly renovated Chinese and Western fusion restaurant. The restaurant is located in the basement of the hotel. It is spacious and elegantly decorated. The decoration is magnificent and at the same time gives guests the comfortable and leisurely feeling of a cafe.
Chen's Kitchen serves both Chinese and Western food, so even if you and your companions want to eat dishes from different countries, that's absolutely no problem! Between 12 noon and 2 pm, guests can choose to have a semi-buffet lunch, which includes a buffet of salads, soups, rolls, staple food, fresh fruit tea, cookies and coffee.
The salad bar is quite rich, with custom salads, purple potato salad, chicken, pineapple and mixed pepper salad, Japanese pickles and more. Each salad is very fresh and comes with a variety of sauces, so there is always one that suits your taste. I love purple sweet potato puree the most, it is sweet and soft, I ate three big balls in one go~
The soup for the day was beef stew, which had a strong beef flavor and plenty of meat. It was delicious when paired with slightly warm herb bread.
Ginger, scallion, abalone and fish maw noodles $228
The nourishing fish maw paired with the chewy abalone is extremely luxurious. Thick noodles are fried with ginger and scallions. The noodles are not greasy, so you don’t have to worry about eating too much.
Grilled M5 Wagyu Ribeye $278
The fragrant M5 Wagyu beef ribeye is grilled to perfect doneness. The steak is rich in flavor and juicy, and is seasoned with Beaujolais red wine sauce, which makes the taste more complete and perfect.
