Tonight I made an appointment with some friends to come to the Harbour Plaza Hotel in Whampoa, where there is a Mediterranean restaurant with a stunning sea view. The Bayside is located on the seafront, offering a great view of Victoria Harbour. The atmosphere is first-class and it is very suitable for relaxing, chatting with friends and enjoying fine wine and food. We chose the Tasting Menu starting from $328/person 🔸Appetizers Japanese scallops with lemongrass vinaigrette and French oysters. The oysters are meaty and are best paired with passion fruit sauce, which is refreshing and pleasant. 🔸Snacks Spanish ham and cheese, cod fish tower and goose liver. The goose liver is crispy and paired with balsamic vinegar and mixed berries, which balances the greasiness of the goose liver. The fish fillet tacos combine a variety of flavors, with Mexican smoked chili sauce and pickled abalone, which is refreshing and crispy. 🔸Main course Aged Wagyu Beef with Mashed Potato The beef is tender, with a charred outer layer and beefy gravy on the inside. It is definitely a great dish. Add on an extra $38. Spanish suckling pig with potato wedges The suckling pork is tender and juicy, with a light and crispy skin. It is served with honey mustard sauce and grilled sauce. 🔸Desserts Tiramisu and Coconut Gelato Both desserts are not too sweet 🍕Hawaiian Pizza $88 The additional dishes are rich in taste, filling and perfect with wine. 🍷Beverages The Bayside Sangria $108 Made with brandy, red wine, red vermouth, peach, mixed fruits and berries, it has a fresh fruity flavor and is easy to drink. Hummingbird by the Bay $108 It is a mixture of rum, Italian black cherry liqueur, lime juice, cranberry juice and red wine. It has a prominent sour taste and a ruddy color. Located conveniently along the Whampoa Waterfront Promenade, "O'Thai Restaurant" offers stunning sea views. After a satisfying meal, you can enjoy the sea breeze. Today, I visited with friends to try their Sunday Brunch, indulging in a leisurely and delicious afternoon. 👍👍 ✨Brunch by the Bay 3-Courses $198 Includes appetizer, main course, dessert, and beverage ▪️Classic Caesar Salad Fresh vegetables paired with cherry tomatoes, bacon, and grated Parmesan cheese. The dressing is savory and flavorful—absolutely delicious. ▪️Burrata Salad (Add $38) My favorite Burrata cheese served with balsamic glaze, arugula salad, cherry tomatoes, and herb dressing. It’s incredibly tasty, and the two small pieces of toast complement the cheese perfectly. ▪️Egg Benedict's with Smoked Salmon Egg Benedict served with smoked salmon. The sourdough toast has a unique chewy texture, paired with rich and savory salmon, avocado sauce, and hollandaise sauce. The highlight is the perfectly cooked runny egg yolk—healthy, hearty, and delicious. ▪️Steak & Eggs with Fries (Add $78) Thai-style grilled steak with fried eggs and fries. The steak is charred on the outside and tender inside, complemented by a honey mustard sauce that’s irresistibly flavorful. Served with two sunny-side-up eggs and hot fries, this dish is packed with protein and tastes amazing. ▪️A Scoop of Gelato The best part of a holiday is enjoying dessert! The gelato flavor is pistachio, a crowd favorite. It’s rich, creamy, and delightful. ▪️Mango Sticky Rice No Thai meal is complete without mango sticky rice. The mango is incredibly sweet and fragrant, while the sticky rice comes in both white and pandan varieties. Served warm and soft, topped with sweet coconut milk—it’s delicious even when you’re full. ▪️Thai Milk Tea and Coffee For drinks, we ordered Thai milk tea and hot coffee. The restaurant is located on the waterfront of Whampoa Garden, facing the unbeatable sea view of Victoria. The outdoor seats have a wide view and a beautiful environment. The interior decoration is elegant, the lighting is soft, and it exudes a European leisurely style. Lobster Burger The crispy bread contains fresh lobster meat, which has a strong seafood flavor. Half & Half pizza The pizza is crispy and fluffy, half of it is made of savory and spicy pepperoni, and the other half is Hawaii pizza made of pineapple and ham. It is sweet, fresh, salty and smooth, and each has its own unique taste. Argentinian rib-eye steak The meat is rich and textured, with a beefy flavor and chewy texture, and the garnish of kale is crispy. Spanish seafood soup rice The rice is fine and smooth, the soup is full of rich seafood flavor and has a smooth taste. Pistachio Cream Cake The cake looks attractive, and the pistachio crumbs are added to it, which is sweet and has a pistachio aroma and nutty flavor. With the smooth cream, it has a moderate sweetness and a fresh taste. Tiramisu It has a moist texture, with dense and fragrant coffee, milk and wine aromas, and is sweet and delicious. Latte The latte art is exquisite, the rich coffee and milk are well balanced, and the taste is smooth. Tonight, my husband took me to a restaurant with outdoor seating and a beautiful sea view. The restaurant offers a tasting menu as well as à la carte options. We chose to order à la carte because there were so many choices. 🌷Lobster Roll The bread was soft and crispy on the outside, and the lobster meat was fresh and sweet with a hint of spiciness. 🌷Crab Cake Each bite was filled with crab meat, and the top and bottom layers were crispy. 🌷Rich Boston Lobster Bisque The bread was topped with lobster meat, and the bread itself was quite firm. The lobster bisque was a rich orange-red color, with a thick texture and a savory, slightly salty taste. 🌷Crispy Suckling Pig with Potatoes The suckling pig skin was thin and crispy, with a layer of melt-in-your-mouth fat that I didn't want to remove. The meat was tender and juicy without being greasy, and it paired perfectly with the mustard sauce. 🌷Spanish Seafood Risotto The risotto had a strong cheese aroma, with each grain of rice distinct. The shrimp was bouncy, and the clam meat was fresh and sweet. 🌷Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream When cut open, the chocolate lava cake oozed chocolate.
