Great place to spend an hour or more. A small gallery with an interesting and varied selection of artworks, ranging from contemporary art collections as well as modern art. The Art Gallery of Western Australia is a museum for everyone, for a beginner art lover like me, and for those who are advanced art lovers. They keep changing their art collections which is fantastic as it makes it attractive to be visited more than once. I enjoyed spending time here and was pleased with the friendly and helpful staff. It has such a stunning display of art from diverse backgrounds, incorporating all the cultures within Australia. The indigenous exhibition was very moving and I highly recommend the Pulse exhibit. The pictured piece is moving and some of the best art I've ever seen. The rendition of the girl with the pearl earring is elegant and sophisticated, it cleverly conveys the integration of cultures in Australia.
