Attractions - Government offices, golf club
Hotels - 3 stars from 5 stars hotels and resorts
Food & Restaurants - pub, coffee shop, Chinese, European, Japanese restaurants
Naypitaw is a new capital city of Myanmar. Main government offices are mainly based on Naypitaw. It’s famous for it’s wide lane roads with few vehicles running.
exciting nepitaw
Naypyidaw is the new capital of Burma. Travel by bus, it takes 5-6 hours. The road is unbelievably good. Along the way, there are stops to use the restroom and buy souvenirs. I will say that the city is very big. How big is a 16-lane road? But it is a very quiet city. On Saturdays and Sundays, it is so quiet that it is scary. Walking around, I didn't see many people. They say that this city is for government officials only. There are only government officials. On Saturdays and Sundays, when they go home, the city becomes almost deserted. But there is something very interesting: the Gem Museum. Diamonds, jade, and rubies as big as a fist are displayed in the museum for you to see every day.

Spending an afternoon at Cool Tea Cafe
#favouriteitinerary
This cafe is located in Ayeyawady Street which is the heart of the most popular food options in the city. They are a small cafe that sells fun drinks such as smoothies, frappes, coffee and bubble tea. They also have quite a few food options including the waffles with maple syrup, fruits salad and grilled sausages that we ate.
The prices were so affordable, we paid only $10 for all the above food in the images. The place is also air conditioned and accommodating staff. It’s recommended for people that want to silently sit and enjoy an evening while eating affordable food! Do pay them a visit if you’re in the area to support as they’re a hidden gem!

Visiting the path known as lover’s alley in Nay Pyi Taw
#favouriteitinerary
On the way to the most popular pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw, you will pass by these beautiful tree groves. I hadn’t know before but there were people having picnics around it on holidays and they told me this place was known as lover’s alley due to the trees beautifully paving a path for at least a kilometre ahead.
Around February, a whole sunflower field grows beside it and it truly is difficult to fanthom any other capital city to just have a random big sunflower field growing in the heart of the city!
It’s a great photo spot and a great place to have picnics as well. There are also beautiful viewpoint cafes and farms all around if you wanna fill up your itinerary.
Day Trip to Myanmar’s one and only Safari Park 🦓
#favouriteitinerary #myanmar #safari
Safari Parks are a fairly new concept to Myanmar. Located in the capital city of Myanmar, it is located right beside the Nay Pyi Taw Zoo.
There are almost no public transportation in the city, renting a car for the day is definitely a must as you would not be able to catch a taxi too.
They used to have penguins in the park but couldn’t maintain them due to the intense weather. The animals here are kept much cleaner and nicer than the ones at Yangon Zoo. Definitely recommend visiting at least once as it won’t cost you more than $10. Most animals here are born in Myanmar, do give a visit!!
The travel methods of a local in the outskirts of Myanmar’s capital city
#newyearnewtrip #myanmar
It would be unthinkable for most countries to have such a living condition in their capital city, but this is how Myanmar is. It’s probably even worse now.
These locals live in the outskirts of the city, they farm for a living and use cows to pull their sleds to go around. Some live beyond a small river so, they create their own raft to cross from one side to the other.
Although it is a daily life to them, it was very different for me who was currently in the same city and was travelling by car daily.
Truly grateful for the opportunity to visit and learn how their life goes there.
Happy Travels ~

Naypyidaw
Naypyidaw, Myanmar’s administrative capital, is a modern city known for its wide roads, grand government buildings, and carefully planned urban layout. While the city’s large, open spaces can give a sense of serenity, it’s also home to a few notable attractions, including the Uppatasanti Pagoda (a replica of the Shwedagon Pagoda), the Naypyidaw Water Fountain Garden, and the National Landmark Garden. It’s a fascinating destination for those interested in modern Myanmar’s development and planning.

Nay Pyi Taw’s most popular night market 🍢
#newyearnewtrip #myanmar #naypyitaw
Ta Pyay Kone night market is quite busy at night with many locals and even some foreigners occasionally. The food is very affordable and they have many stalls selling local cuisine. I love their BBQ and sushi stalls!
They have fruits, milk, eggs, flowers and many more stalls with items that are produced locally.

Naypyidaw Water Fountain Garden
#getgoing2025
Naypyidaw Water Fountain Garden is a 165-acre (67 ha) park located near Naypyidaw City Hall in Myanmar's capital. It features a prominent steel archway, a main pond with three large fountains, and eleven smaller ponds. The garden provides a scenic and recreational space for visitors. Recent news indicates plans for a 15 billion kyat investment over three years to upgrade the garden, suggesting ongoing development and improvements to its facilities and attractions. It's a popular destination for locals and tourists seeking a peaceful escape within the city.
Vintage Italian Restaurant in Myanmar
#newyearnewtrip #myanmar
This restaurant is called Dibar, I have posted briefly about their carbonara spaghettis but I want to focus on their interior this time (apologies for my photos haha).
The locations I’ve been to are the one at Yankin - Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw.
They aim for this vintage look and do a really great job at prosecuting it (for me at least). The staff are very well mannered and helpful! They also have their home made gelato options.
I really recommend this restaurant if you’re ever in Myanmar 🇲🇲.

VIP Restaurant Nay Pyi Taw 🍲
#newyearnewtrip #myanmar #foodie
Posting my experience dinning at VIP Restaurant near Tapyaygone market in Nay Pyi Taw. I’m not exactly sure which cuisine they specialise in but they have really great BBQ and shaved ice!
They have both outdoors and indoors seating areas where there’s live music indoors while the outside has swings and a kid’s playground. I think this makes a great place for all ages to gather.

Kans Grass in Nay Pyi Taw 🌾
#newyearnewtrip #myanmar
Towards the end of the year, Kans grass can be found everywhere in Nay Pyi Taw.
It’s truly beautiful where they bloom in bulk everywhere so it’s practically free to take photos haha.
One of my favorite spots is the one near Myoma Market where there’s a beautiful lake and these Kans Grasses are also around. It makes a free perfect picnic + photo spot!

Cherry Blossoms in Myanmar, Nay Pyi Taw
#newyearnewtrip #myanmar #cherrybloosom
Although not the same ones as the one in Japan, these trees are closely related to the Japanese Sakura. They bloom around the same time all over the city and are great for photo taking.
There are much prettier and bigger ones too in Pyin Oo Lwin. I definitely recommend taking pictures with them or just viewing them if you ever come across it!

The Burmes
The Burmese in Longji, the so-called Longji is a large piece of cloth that wraps people from the waist to the ankle. In fact, I have heard that Burmese people do not wear underwear. Today, they have finally been confirmed. At least most of the Burmese in cages do not wear underwear. As for this allusion, it is estimated that another travel note will be opened.
It is estimated that when Zhuge Liang peeled off his sleeves and gave clothes to others, he did not consider the problem of underwear. Is this habit really reserved today?
