On the way from #Heianjingu to #Ginkakuji, before turning into #Philosopher's Path, I unexpectedly visited the coffee shop "Botanic Coffee Kyoto". I say it’s an accident because I originally searched for another one on Google Maps, but the sun was too strong and I happened to see one that looked good, so I went in! Botanic Coffee is located in a residential area, on the B1 floor of a 4-storey building. Going down the stairs, you can see a small open-air courtyard. The outdoor seats give you a relaxing feeling with a cool breeze. The interior is decorated in a classical style with European furniture, just like being in a country shop in the south of France, very fresh and elegant. Having afternoon tea here will make you feel more elegant. Since I had just finished eating #山元麺蔵, I ordered an iced coffee and a muffin. When the tableware and boiled water were brought up, I thought the glass cups were so elegant and the patterns on the plates were so beautiful, as if I was enjoying afternoon tea in a palace. The muffins are similar to Kyushu muffins, thick but fluffy, not too soft, and still have a certain chewiness. Put a piece of butter on top, melt it with the temperature of the muffin, and then pair it with syrup and ice cream. The conflicting feeling of salty and sweet, hot and cold blends into a wonderful taste in the mouth. Botsnic Coffee is a small community shop, mostly with regular customers from the neighborhood and a few tourists who accidentally pass by. Approximately two kilometers long, the path begins around Ginkakuji (Silver Pavilion) and ends in the neighborhood of Nanzenji. The Philosopher’s Path, or Walk, is a great place to visit all year round, as the scenery offers something unique for every season. Found a random yakitori place in Kiyamachi, after dinner took a digestive walk along Kamo River. Day 2 Route: Woke up early to visit Sewaritei (unfortunately it rained on April 13), only stayed briefly. Took train from Sewaritei to Fushimi Jukkokubune (30 minutes). The Fushimi boat rides start at 10:00, so arriving around 9:30 is fine. Fushimi Jukkokubune was in its cherry blossom snowfall period - Kyoto's aesthetics are truly flawless and extremely photogenic. Left at 11:00 for Takashimaya to grab lunch and continue shopping. Afternoon bus to Kansai Airport 17:10-18:49, more shopping at duty-free shops, finished shopping and caught the 21:30 flight back home.
