It was located in the basement of a street-side building, and luckily, there was no line. I quickly ordered a basic tonkotsu ramen using the machine. The interior was spacious, with both counter and table seating, giving off a typical Japanese ramen shop vibe. The ramen tasted similar to what you get in Taiwan, with a rich broth and chewy noodles. I finished it in no time. Ichiran's flavor is consistent no matter where you go, maintaining a high standard, though it lacks some uniqueness. In the afternoon, took a bus to Lake Kawaguchiko. A perfect day. ❗️Tips The lake bus only starts running at 7:00. To see the sunrise early, you need to take a taxi or stay near Hirano. There are swans in many places, especially at Shiratori-hama, and also at Hirano. Bicycle rentals are available from 9:00 for JPY 2,000 for two hours. Rented from an elderly gentleman near Shiratori-hama. Two hours is enough to cycle around the lake and take photos. You can choose a hotel in Hirano or near a bus stop, which is very convenient.

The variety is quite impressive, and the breakfast is filling enough to last until noon. For lunch and dinner, they offer a semi-buffet style, which includes a main dish plus a salad bar. I highly recommend the Japanese-Western style hamburger steak, which is very tender and juicy, and comes with four different sauces for a rich variety of flavors. The salad bar is even more abundant than at breakfast, featuring curry, soup, pasta, and more. You could easily fill up just from the salad bar. When you go there, you feel like you're walking around a residential area, not a tourist area. The atmosphere around it is very peaceful. When you walk into the temple, it's peaceful. There are quite a few tourists. The temple grounds are not very large, but they're not crowded. The area with a lot of beckoning cats is quite crowded because the beckoning cats are very cute. On the way back, we walked to get on the train at Gotokuji Station, which passed a small cafe that sells stuffed beckoning cats (it feels like red bean fish bread). It's so cute! When I saw it, I had to stop and buy some.
