Life advice, finish this one-day tour route before leaving Hong Kong
As the Spring Festival is approaching, it's time to relax and have fun~
Since Guangzhou is adjacent to Hong Kong, I have walked this route 800 times from childhood to adulthood!
I recommend this most Hong Kong-style one-day citywalk to you~
🚩Itinerary: Monster Building - Methodist House - Central - Sai Ying Pun - Kennedy Town - Temple Street Night Market
🔸Monster Building
This is the Shanhai Building where Transformers was filmed, known as the Monster Building
The old E-shaped architectural structure and the huge building form a visually oppressive dense space
🚄Exit A of Quarry Bay Station (Island Line)
🔸Methodist House
From the pedestrian overpass opposite the building, you can see the Methodist House in the middle of the road forming a symmetrical structure with the environment, which is extremely comfortable for OCD!
🚄Exit A of Admiralty Station (Island Line)
🔸Central
Walking and taking photos in Central, the bustling CBD, the busy crowd, the full-flavored tram, all are showing you the Hong Kong style
Note that the once popular clock machine position is gone, the clock is dismantled, I don't know if it will be installed again~
There are Gage Street, Fringe Club, Immaculate Conception Cathedral, etc. in this area
🚄Exit A of Admiralty Station (Island Line)
·
🔸Sai Ying Pun
If Central is a commercial CBD area, then Sai Ying Pun is a Hong Kong-style fireworks
The wrong street, the near-sea view, gives this place a lot of special visuals
🚄Sai Ying Pun Station (Island Line)
🔸Kennedy Town
At Exit C of Kennedy Town MTR Station, you can find the popular photo spot that combines the elements of the street, tram, ferry, and sea
After taking the photos, walk towards the sea and feel the breeze, it's really comfortable
🚄Exit C of Kennedy Town (Island Line)
🔸Temple Street Night Market
If you need to return to West Kowloon, you can get off at Jordan Station on the way back to West Kowloon, and you can pass by Temple Street Night Market, which is suitable for shopping and eating, and tasting authentic Hong Kong snacks
Temple Street is also decorated with a very festive atmosphere during this period!
🚄Jordan Station (Tsuen Wan Line)

Visited here one night on our trip to Hong Kong. It was near Jordan Street if I remember correctly. There was alot of the same stock at the stalls. This was the only place I actually could find souvenirs. Don't be afraid to bargain with the suppliers. They like a good negotiation.

HK night market
It was a raining night when I visited so there was not much people around. Some of the food stalls were closed too. We tried some fish ball which is local flavor. Price is reasonable. Hope to visit next time when weather is alright.

🇭🇰 Temple street Market
It is always interesting to see bizarre things especially in Hong Kong. There are so many fortune tellers over here. You can get your fortune explained to you in many ways, from the traditional palm/face reading, to birds picking out a card, to cards reading too. You can even hire a professional to ward off bad luck too by using clogs to hit a paper man. I have tried most of the fortune telling methods and it was fun. As long as you are not bothered by the bad fortune then it is perfectly alright to get your fortune told. Although most times, you will get recommendations on how to ward off the bad fortune and this will cost extra money.
*photos are taken before pandemic and HK is not open for travelling yet but I will be there soon :)

3 minutes to Temple Street night market
Evergreen is a three stars hotel located just 3 minutes walk from the temple Street night market. The hotel room is small and compact. The room size is 15m2 for all room types. They do have a double room, single room, and family room. The hotel only has three stories.
The family room has 3 single beds. Most rooms come with a bathtub. The hotel room looks dated and therefore is a mould and a strong smell especially from the bathroom. The television channels are limited with mostly local channels.
The staff is average. They do not smile nor greet you. No mineral water is given in the room. The breakfast is simple with eggs, bacon, ham, sausages, and porridge. The superb location to the temple Street night market makes up for the downside of the hotel.
