It is said that the Temple of Debod was built in the 2nd century BC and was donated by the Egyptian government to Spain in gratitude for Spain's help in saving the Abu Simbel temples. Moving the temple from Egypt to Spain was quite an undertaking, requiring it to be dismantled piece by piece and then reassembled in Madrid. The Temple of Debod can be visited for free, but you need to book online in advance. Inside the temple, you can find statues and ancient artifacts dedicated to Amun, the king of the gods, and the goddess Isis. Visiting an ancient Egyptian cultural relic in Spain is indeed a unique experience.

Interestingly, this temple was originally built in Egypt around 200 BC but was dismantled in the 1970s and reassembled here in Madrid.
