A Mesmerising Experience at TeamLab Planets ✨
While I was in Tokyo I made sure to visit TeamLab Planets. I've been to a different TeamLab exhibition before, but this one was a whole new immersive experience! Here are some tips to ensure you have a smooth day~
🎫 Book your ticket online in advance and make sure to arrive during your allocated time slot. Off peak tickets are 3800¥ and peak times are 4000¥.
🚇 Take the Yurakucho Line to Toyosu Station. From here you can transfer and ride one extra stop, or walk 15 minutes down the road.
👟 When you arrive, you take off your shoes and put them in a locker. You walk around barefoot for the entire experience, starting by walking up a waterfall and into a room full of knee high water.
✨ The whole experience is mesmerising and breathtaking. Each new room is a new adventure and you have no idea what to expect next. Some of the rooms are filled with different kind of lights to walk through, and others you can sit on the floor to watch flowers and butterflies moving around you.
💐 When you finish exploring the inside of the exhibition, walk outside to see the big silver eggs and also the big flower garden! The flowers move down and you can sit on the floor to fully immerse yourself.
📸 There are so many places to take photos in this place!! Almost every single room has opportunities for beautiful photos. Go with a friend, take pics of each other!
🤩 Team Lab Planets was overall a really fun, immersive experience. This is definitely one of the best places around the city for really cool photo opportunities! I had the best day!

Galaxy World
Finally got to visit teamLab’s Crystal universal in Tokyo to see the real deal! We do have a similar exhibition in Singapore at ArtScience Museum however it’s not as extensive as the one in Japan.
The one in Singapore is a one human pathway.
However the exhibition room in Tokyo is HUGE, with many photo opportunities and short walks without squeezing with others like the one in Singapore.
The artwork is interactive and colours changes, it also represents the infinite galaxy.
I like how spacious the room is and it really feels like the infinity. Because of the height and the mirrors.
Remember to wear a pants because the floor is mirrored too!

TeamLab Planets: can’t miss attraction
I visited Teamlab Planets in Tokyo in 2019 and although the exhibition is still pretty similar apart from 2 new room additions, it was still worth re-visiting 3 years later.
Tickets need to be pre-booked in advance. They were sold out for 3 weeks when we looked at buying tickets but we checked last minute and some people must have canceled their tickets as there were a few available the night before. So if they’re sold out during your dates I’d still recommend checking to see if there’s been any cancelations. Tickets cost 3800 yen / $38 and you are allocated a time slot to arrive.
TeamLab Planets is an immersive experience. You start by taking your shoes off and leave your bag and belongings in a locker. You can carry your phone and a camera. You’ll get a wrist band with the key for your locker, which is free. You’ll then walk through water for the first room, you get provided with towels to dry your feet. Another room you’ll be in water mid calf height, so dress accordingly, clothing that you can roll up to your knees. Several of the rooms also have mirrored floors, so women will want to be cautious about wearing short skirts, however there are free shorts you can rent. #Tokyo
One World Just Go
Bouncy Bouncy Art Work
Enter a room of colourful floating spheres where every movement of a bump from visitors changes the colour. Some of the spheres can be moved around too!
While the spheres are individual inflatables, the colours of the spheres actually change together.
The colours of the spheres represent the different colours seen in the sky, for example sunrise, sunset and the different seasons in Japan such as autumn.
Remember to hit the sphere lightly to not damage it. When I was there were still some with helium in it, however I noticed that there are some months where due to helium shortage your visit might not have those on the ceiling.

Water Art
Be prepared to walk into water when visiting the teamLab planet exhibition that was featuring a Koi Pond while I was there.
My photos are not blurred! It’s just the projection being diffused on the water. And it’s also interactive. As with all teamLab’s installation this is interactive and the koi will move away and turn into a flower when you are near them.
Visitors will have to pass through this exhibition walking through the water (shorts are provided if needed). Some people may hate it but I love it, it’s so unique you have to experience it for yourself.

Magical Floating Orchids
Step into a garden of floating orchids at TeamLab Planet’s in Tokyo. The flowers goes up and down through a mechanical system, creating spaces for visitors to interact with the flowers as it goes up and down. Together with the reflection from the mirror on the floor, it gives an infinite feeling and space.
The orchids are real and being taken care of by the museum. It is said that orchids are able to survive without soil as they were the “newest” flower species to come into earth and thus lost spots in the soil 😂.
What you see in this space will always be different , learning to share the eco space with the flowers and other visitors.

This exhibition dissolves the boundaries between art, the self, and others, creating a world where we are all in this continuous space experiencing the beauty of life and art as one. This barefoot experience connects you with the art in a way that you have never felt before.
The Moss Garden of Resonating Microcosms is also one that brings a very interesting concept to life. The Ovoids in the moss garden are reactive to the actual sunrise and sunset, the touch of a person, and even the wind blowing. They change colors and even make beautiful sounds depending on the external stimuli, with the tones and changes in color resonating to the other ovoids surrounding them. These ovoids can represent moss and how it responds to external stimuli, which helps make us consider the concept of what it means to be alive in this world of constant stimulus.

Flower curtains, infinity rooms, glowing eggs
TeamLab Tokyo was one of the highlights of my Tokyo trip.
The creativity of each exhibition blew my mind. Every single part of the exhibition was heavily interactive and immersive. It was truly an experience that was out of this world.
From the infinity rooms filled with LED light curtains that fell from the ceiling to infinity rooms of real fresh flower curtains, the exhibition engaged our senses of sight, hearing, touch and even smell.
The exhibition also required us to walk barefooted and on different textures. There was a room filled with memory foam that was extremely difficult to walk and there was a room filled with water up to our knees with interactive projections cast onto the water.
If you're into creative and immersive experiences Teamlab Tokyo is a must-go!

teamLabs Planets is a museum where you walk through water, a garden where you become one with the flowers. There are. 4 large scale artwork and 2 gardens. Need to be barefooted to get into the museum. As we need to walk into the water. All personal belongings have to be place in the locker. Wear pants that can be rolled up to knee length to prevent it to get wet. Need to pre-book the tickets to avoid disappointment as is always sold out. Enjoy the artwork and have fun!

Unique place to spend time extraordinarily for people who are fed up with routine worklife. The smell, the view and the atmosphere there is difficult to explain with words. It is located in Odaiba, and easy to get there by bus, train or taxi. It is recommended to take Yurikamome monorail that is driverless train, one more wonder for even for adults.

Have fun with Art 🖼️
TeamLabs planet Tokyo is one place in my memories. This place help me enjoy with art and each zone has different idea and design.
Everyone must take out sock and shoe before entrance because they have mirror on the floor some area and you can feel nature art. Everyone will clean your feet by walk waterfall.
First zone is LED which change color and format with relax music.
Second zone is walk on river simulate with art light projection (knee high water).
Third zone is night simulate with graphic. I saw a lot of people sleep on the floor and see it on ceiling.
Garden zone is egg stainless design and have simulate garden on ground.
Overall, I enjoy art here and wish I could have the opportunity to go to different places after this.#teamlabplanetstokyo #japan

Teamlab - Tokyo
The Teamlab experience is one that should not be missed if you find yourself in Tokyo!
Situated on the Tokyo metro, this inexpensive attraction will leave you questioning what’s real and marvelling at how light and sound can be used to create an unforgettable attraction. A lot of the attractions are interactive and child friendly - especially at the end of the attraction where they can turn your drawing into a moving part of the exhibition. A must see if you find yourself in Tokyo!#urbanexplorer #2023travelwish #art_of_japan_

The Gorgeous Hanging Gardens
Gardens are beautiful but they’re almost always inconveniently located on the ground, so we have to stoop and smell the flowers.
The indoor garden at teamLab Planets (Tokyo) is entirely different. Consisting of a suspended arrangement of 2300 fresh flowers that rise and fall around visitors, this hanging paradise moves gracefully through space to meet our noses 🌺🌸🌼🌷🌹
Needless to say, I loved this installation the most 😍😍😍 but it was unfortunately the only one we were given a very limited time (of ~5 mins! 🥺) to linger around.

dancing in a kaleidoscope of lights
I would be lying if I said that I had very high expectations for this place, because my expectations were lower than the deepest core of the earth, basically non-existent. Thus, I was not expecting myself to enjoy myself like I actually did. When they first asked us to take off our shoes and socks, I was absolutely puzzled but did what they asked anyways. And all I can say about these exhibitions, is wow. They were so well-prepared and I could see the thought process behind every single one of them. My personal favourite was the endless mirrors reflecting a spool of lights seemingly hanging from the heavens, switching between different colours and patterns every few minutes, lying on the floor, watching as the lights transformed into something new for close to half an hour. It was extremely enjoyable, even if I wasn’t doing much.
This is an amazing place that I recommend everyone to go at least once in their life, you would not regret it :)#mytripvlog #tripblazers

The first thought that came into mind when we entered the room filled with lights and mirrors. Is like being transported to another dimension. But before reaching this room, you need to climb the waterfalls in darkness and brave through the quicksand sponges room.
Next you find yourself walking in a koi pond with fishes swimming and flowers blooming. The water is warm too.
Another room filled with big changing colours bouncing balls. Another room where we lay down still and felt the world spinning around.
There's another 2 gardens, the shining stones and the hanging flowers. All these exhibitions has no time limits, you can stay as long as you like except for the last hanging flowers garden when we go in and out in groups.
Very interesting experience. Definitely memorable.
Tips : Many mirrors all around, ladies avoid wearing skirts. You need to take off your shoes and places with water at knee high level. We brought our own shorts but you can borrow from them too.

A good place to go after eating at Toyosu Market Toyosu teamLab Planets Tokyo Art Museum
#Japan Attractions #Japan Travel #Tokyo #Tokyo Free Trip
Toyosu teamLab Planets is believed to be your best place to go after lunch at Toyosu Market. It's about 10 minutes walk from Toyosu Market to the exhibition hall. If you don't want to walk, you can take one stop on the light rail, which is very convenient.
Entrance to the exhibition hall is divided into time slots. You must be on time. Tickets are available on trip.com and I exchanged them with trip coins. So that usually have to post more posts, to play at any time do not spend money 🤭🤭 on the day of arrival at the inquiry counter than him scan the qr code and then wait next to, do not have to follow people in line, there is a special person to bring into the venue, really Super correct and super convenient. ☺️☺️
Because inside to remove shoes and ankle water, so if autumn and winter come it is best to wear easy to fold up long pants, spring and summer to wear shorts is the most appropriate. 😊The exhibition content is very rich, there are many photo spots, I will not go into details🤫 Leave some mystery to have surprises😉

Immersed in the Infinite: My Journey Through TeamLab Tokyo
Visiting TeamLab Tokyo from Shibuya was like stepping into another dimension. The journey was easy, with public transportation seamlessly connecting the urban buzz of Shibuya to the art oasis of TeamLab. When I arrived, the contrast between the city outside and the transformative world inside was instantly striking. Purchasing my ticket through a travel platform was straightforward, and the experience felt well worth the price given the multi-sensory journey ahead.
TeamLab Tokyo is a collaborative digital art museum that pushes the boundaries between technology, nature, and humanity. Instead of static exhibits, I encountered rooms filled with interactive, fluid visuals. Every space invites you to touch, explore, and move within its art, blurring the line between the observer and the installation. The colors seemed to flow and shift, responding to my presence and actions, creating a deeply personal, yet shared, sensory experience.
Visually, it’s unlike anything else. Some rooms are filled with glowing flowers that float around, while others feel like endless cosmic fields or deep underwater worlds. The sensations and visuals are surreal; at one point, it felt as if I were suspended in a galaxy of color. The entire experience is immersive, designed to be explored in your own time. There’s something profoundly meditative about each step, each shift in the environment drawing you further from the world outside.
The ticket price might feel steep, but considering the depth and quality of the experience, it’s a worthwhile investment. The use of digital art to create a space that feels both tangible and otherworldly makes TeamLab Tokyo a must-visit, whether you’re a fan of technology, art, or simply curious about unique, transformative experiences.

An emotional rollercoaster of art
This exhibition will make you feel every emotion, they have truly captured a capsule of sensory feels in one place. I would recommend everyone I know to attend this place even if you only have 1 day in Tokyo. The price is great, and took about 1 total to complete the exhibition and there is a vegan restaurant outside and a very small gift shop with a few books and stickers
