#HotSpringTrip I stayed at Shinra, a hotel in Tateyama, Chiba Prefecture, where all rooms have ocean views and open-air baths. The classic building room was quite different from the room I booked and was quite old-fashioned. When making a reservation, I recommend checking what kind of room you will be assigned. The lobby lounge offers all-you-can-eat and drink beer, wine, fresh juices, snacks, and more. The menu changes from 7:30 p.m., so you can enjoy it all day. The hot spring in the room can be seen from outside, so be careful during the day. It's been a while since I last visited the Boso Peninsula! For lunch, I went to Minamiboso Yamato Sushi Tateyama Main Branch, which opened on September 30th. I didn't know this because I usually only go to Narita Airport in Chiba, but apparently Yamato Sushi is famous in Chiba. It's a conveyor belt sushi restaurant run by a fishery company, and its selling point is that it offers high-quality seafood at reasonable prices. At first I thought it was a little expensive for conveyor belt sushi, but all the dishes were delicious! The menu isn't displayed on the touch panel, but the paper menu has humorous notations such as "Blue Three (3 pieces of blue fish)" and "Squid sushi". It takes 1 hour and 50 minutes to get from Tokyo Station to Tateyama by the Nanohana Express Bus. After just over 2 hours, you'll be face to face with the "rapeseed flower fields"!! The morning temperature in the city center was close to freezing, but it was warm in Tateyama, and some of the rapeseed flowers were in full bloom!! You can feel the breath of spring. The kaiseki cuisine, which uses a lot of them, is addictive. Apparently the fish selection changes drastically every month, so maybe the next one will be in spring or early summer. We ate everything while talking about it. For breakfast, we could choose dried fish. Of course, the miso soup also featured the spiny lobster from dinner. There was a huge line inside the store, which you wouldn't imagine from the outside! 😳 The peanut soft serve ice cream made by a shop called Kimura Peanuts seems to be a hit!! ! They also had parfaits, but I wanted to try a simple flavor, so I went for the soft serve🍦 It's rich and has a nostalgic taste like peanut butter💛 It's in a place that you can only get to by car, so I was surprised to see so many people there! There is no eat-in space, but everyone stopped by and ate outside or in their car.
