Natural scenery
Located at the confluence of the Huisai and Nankang rivers, Sai Waterfall features multiple layers of limestone rock formations. It is wider than Guangxi Waterfall, and the number of pools pouring into it is also more, and the rapids form a cascade of multi-layered waterfalls. The drop height of Sai Waterfall is small, the bottom of the water is hidden with reefs and the water is fast, and it is not suitable for swimming. However, Sai Waterfall is very popular with locals and is a weekend outing spot for locals. It is called "the back garden of Luang Prabang". .

LEFT SPEECHLESS WITH THIS STUNNING WATERFALL
#waterfall
Hire a Private Driver: It takes about 45 minutes to drive from Luang Prabang to Ban An Village. A private driver is the easiest option for the trip.
Take a Short Boat Ride: From Ban An Village, you'll need to take a quick 10-minute boat ride to cross the river, as the waterfall is on the other side.
Walk to the Entrance: Once across, it’s a short walk to the Tat Sae entrance where you can buy your ticket.
The moment we saw Tat Sae, we were left utterly speechless.
It’s one of the most stunning waterfalls we've ever laid eyes on.
The way the water cascades down the tiers of rocks, creating a series of natural pools, is simply mesmerizing.

The in inviting waters of Tad Sae
Tad Sae, like many other waterfalls across the world, was built over millennia when flowing water carved its way through the surrounding limestone, leaving beautiful cascades and pools. The fall, which is located near Luang Prabang, is easily accessible, making it a popular destination for residents and tourists wishing to get away from the rush and bustle of daily life.
During the dry season, the fall dries to a trickle, but during the rainy season, the enticing water is cool and delightful. There are numerous lounging spaces and seats from which to relax and enjoy the fall foliage in perfect harmony.

Tad Sae wa
Tad Sae waterfall might not be as famous as Kuang Si as it is a little bit further away and you need to take a boat to cross the river, which actually is quite fun! If you have extra days, it is worth a visit. There’s also elephant sanctuary there. #happynewyear

UNDERRATED WATERFALL IN LUANG PRABANG
If you are traveling to Luang prabang during October - March, then Tad Sae shouldn’t be miss!
45 Mins drive from city and 10 Mins from Train station, this place is one of the most spectacular nature places in Luang Prabang, not only by the color of the water or the falls itself, the experience begins from the starting point where you get in the locals villager’s wooden boat sailing up stream from the pier to the waterfalls park, on the way you will witness the locals life along the river fishermen hunting and kids playing on the shore.
After 10 minutes you will arrive at the waterfall pier from that you will need to purchase entrance fees approximately about 20,000 Lao Kip. If you are visiting on weekends or in any holiday the place will be filled up the the local whos came for picnic all over the place, there are some local restaurants available at the parks which serves mainly Lao Food.
There are 3 Waterfalls in this park!
Falls 1 - This area you can enjoy the swim and do some jumps, most restaurants are surrounded in this area and can be crowded.
Falls 2 - This area is 15 Mins walk from the main falls, this area is more relaxed and laid back since it is a-bit up from the crowds( Second Photo ).
Falls 3 - To get to this last falls you will need to do small hike for 30 mins, Not many people visit this falls during the day, the place is quite and peaceful, but ask if it’s worth the hike or not.. I would say if you do like hiking then it wouldn’t hurt to try ( last photo )#laos ##localguides ##luangprabang #southeastasia ##adventure ##waterfall ##hiking #chasingwaterfalls ##hiddenplaces

The place where "Spring" and "The Birth of Venus" can be filmed.
The only natural landscape I visited in Luang Prabang was the Kuang Si Waterfall . This is a limestone mineralized pool waterfall, similar to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong in China, but with much lower degree of calcification. The ecological condition here is absolutely top-notch, and there are towering ancient trees with a breast diameter of more than 2 meters standing around you at any time. But what really sets Kuang Si Waterfall apart from domestic scenic spots is the freedom to swim and play in the waterfall! The dark and dense surrounding jungle, the light and shadow formed by the setting sun penetrating through the dense tree canopy, and the beautiful swimmers like water lilies, may accidentally capture photographic works like Botticelli's paintings "Spring" or "The Birth of Venus".
Friendly reminder:
1. Be sure to bring your swimsuit, especially for young and beautiful girls. Playing and swimming in the waterfall is a rare shooting scene in a lifetime.
2. In the morning, there are many tourists, so even one or two people can carpool with others like taking a bus, and the cost per person is only about 30-50 yuan (depending on your bargaining skills), which is quite cheap. But if you don't want to leave with regrets and want to take wonderful photos, it is recommended to go in the afternoon when the light and shadow under the sunset make the Waterfall magnificent.
