The Tasha Ancient Trail, which is more than 300 kilometers long, will take 8-10 hours to drive if everything goes smoothly. It is an extremely difficult road. Near the Qushman Village in the north of Taxkorgan City, turn east and follow County Road 613 to the east. A canyon breaks out in the high mountains. This is the Taxkorgan Canyon. Only less than 30 kilometers of asphalt roads have been built in the front, and the remaining 200 kilometers are all bumpy dirt roads. Most of the road cannot be called a highway. It is difficult to move forward because of the bumpy sand and gravel. Many roads are carved out of the mountains. The desolate Kunlun Mountains are desolate everywhere. The Pamir Plateau blocks the humid air from the west, causing the Kunlun Mountains to be dry and rainless, and the mountains are barren. Along the way, you wind around mountains, cross bridges, and even walk over cliffs. Some sections of the road are almost only as wide as a car. On the left is a huge rocky mountain with rocks hanging overhead, and on the right is the rapid Yarkand River. Thanks to the kind travel friend who hung up the clothing mark, otherwise I would definitely have gone the wrong way. It can be said that this ancient road is definitely comparable to 318, 219, and 317, and is more dangerous than the Bingchacha Line, or even worse. The road conditions have also gradually deteriorated. Guardrails broken by falling rocks can be seen everywhere. The road is full of potholes and large and small stones can be seen everywhere, but they have not affected the progress. The eyes are in heaven and the body is in hell. The entire Tasha Ancient Road is hidden deep in the canyon of the Pamir Plateau and extends along the Tashkurgan River, a tributary of the Yarkand River. The water is as blue and clear as emerald, winding around the Kunlun Mountains like a soft silk. The mountains on both sides of the canyon are towering into the clouds, and everything you can see is cliffs and landslides. Tajik and Kirgiz villages can be seen from time to time along the way. The village is nestled under the cliffs and under the almond trees. Suspension bridges connect the villages on both sides of the river to ancient roads.
