Natural scenery
The Tarim River is the largest inland river in China. It is formed by the confluence of the Aksu River originating in the Tianshan Mountains, the Yerqiang River originating in the Karakoram Mountains, and the Hotan River, and then flows into Taitma Lake. Geographically, the Tarim River Basin includes 114 source streams of nine major water systems converging toward the center of the Tarim Basin, the main stream of the Tarim River, the Taklimakan Desert and the eastern desert area. The flow of the Tarim River varies greatly due to seasonal differences. Whenever it enters the hot summer, the snow and glaciers melt, and the river flow increases sharply, just like a "boundless wild horse" roaring through the desert and grassland. Many water conservancy facilities have been built in the Tahe River Basin. With the hard work of people of all ethnic groups, the deserts of the past have become mulberry fields.
