2025 Macau Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in July)
Located on the southeast coast of the Chinese mainland, Macau has been a cultural intersection between China and the West for four hundred years, especially Portuguese culture. Everywhere you look in Macau, you can see the fusion of cultural essences in the details, patterns, and imagery used in its architecture.
The Historic Centre of Macau is particularly interesting, where the old buildings still thrive, teeming with life and brimming with the mysteries of Macau’s multicultural heritage.
Despite covering only about 30 square kilometers, Macau's food, ancient architecture, shopping, and rich nightlife attract countless tourists.

Macau Indoor Photo Spots Collection | These Atmosphere-Filled Spaces
Macau boasts many indoor spaces perfect for photo ops. Here’s a guide to the best spots:
Photo Locations
• The Venetian Shopping Center: Located on the third floor of The Venetian Macao, this area features a lighted ceiling sky, charming streets, bridges, and lampposts. You can even ride a gondola, making it feel like you’re in Venice—a must-visit for photos.
• The Londoner Hotel & Shopping Center: The hotel lobby’s Crystal Palace is grand and elegant, with fountains and a statue of Eros. The shopping center includes iconic British elements like double-decker buses and red phone booths. A platform on the second-floor corridor offers a panoramic view of the lobby.
• Parisian Macao: The lobby’s beautiful dome and palace-style architecture exude European charm. The shopping center above the third floor is sleek and modern, ideal for photos. Don’t miss the chance to snap a shot with the Eiffel Tower replica from the hotel garden benches.
• Morpheus Lobby: Designed by Zaha Hadid, this space features white and metallic tones with fluid lines and wall-mounted glass elevators, creating a futuristic vibe—a must-see for architecture enthusiasts.
• Wynn Palace Shopping Area: Beyond the cable car and fountain shows, the first-floor shopping street is artistically decorated in opulent gold, making it highly photogenic.
• MGM Sky Plaza: The exterior blends three colors, while the indoor plaza evokes the charm of Lisbon’s train stations. The giant cylindrical aquarium at the center adds a dreamy touch.
• One Central Macau: The mall is filled with creative installations perfect for photos. The waterfront promenade hosts the "One Central Loves Macao" art exhibition and offers views of Macau Tower. The Poly MGM Museum here also showcases precious artifacts and artworks.
Photo Tips
• Use a wide-angle lens: Indoor spaces are often expansive, so a wide-angle lens helps capture more of the grandeur and unique features.
• Play with light and shadow: Many hotel lobbies and malls have distinctive lighting designs. Use these to add depth to your photos—like the luxurious ambiance of Wynn Palace’s shopping area.
• Incorporate props: At The Londoner Shopping Center, use props like red phone booths or double-decker buses to make your photos more storytelling.
Travel to Macau for 1 day with a budget of a thousand! 💸 🇲🇴
Of course! 🧐 Macau 1 day with a budget of thousands of baht (about HKD 200-250) go in the morning and return in the evening. It can really be done and worth it ✨
Today, I would like to share knowledge on how to cross the bus from Hong Kong to Macau in detail on a budget that is super awesome + comfortable. You can follow along🫶🏻
🚌 How to cross from Hong Kong to Macau (Budget of thousands)
🌅 This trip, we started at 9 am by taking an Uber to the Hong Kong Port. Then follow the steps 😝
✅ 1. Travel to the boarding point: "Hong Kong Port" ⛴️
• Take the MTR Tung Chung line (orange line) → Get off at Sunny Bay / Tung Chung station
• Then take the B5 or E11A bus to Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HKZMB) Hong Kong Port
• The fare is about HKD 11–15 (~50–70 baht)
✅ 2. Go through immigration 🏢
• Show your passport + border crossing ticket
• No visa is required if it is a Thai passport (30 days)
✅ 3. Take the bus across the bridge to Macau 🚎
• Take the Shuttle Bus called "Golden Bus" 🚌
• The fare is as follows 👇🏻
• Weekdays: HKD 65 (~300 baht)
• Nighttime (00:00–06:00): HKD 70
• Travel time is only 40-50 minutes.
• Buses run every 5-10 minutes, very convenient.
✅ 4. Arrive at Macau Port ⛴️ and start sightseeing.
• After passing through Macau immigration, you can take a free hotel/casino bus or a cheap public bus (~HKD 6/trip).
** Leave some time for immigration in Macau because the queue is very long! 😅
💡 1-day trip in Macau, recommended places to visit:
🎰 The Venetian Macau – Walk around and take pictures of the luxury casino
🏰 Senado Square + Ruins of St. Paul
☕ Cute cafe/egg tart shop Lord Stow's / Margaret's
🚶 Walk around the old town on the Coloane side
✨ Recommended tips for beginners:
• If you want to save money, use the Octopus Card in both Hong Kong and some buses that go to the immigration.
• Check the Golden Bus schedule: Open 24 hours, no advance booking
• Return to Hong Kong in the evening or at night using the Golden Bus back as usual. But if anyone wants to go fast If you don't want to take multiple transfers, you can take the last ferry at 20:00. I'll review the return trip later. 🛳️🗺️

🇲🇴City of Dreams "Sham Tseng Chen Kee Roast Goose" is as delicious as usual
Recommended again because the quality is still stable and delicious, there are branches in New Casino and New Casino; at the price of various resorts on Cotai Golden Light Avenue, it is worth it to eat this standard of roast goose!
🪿Chen Kee has been adhering to strict requirements for more than 70 years, carefully selecting 90-day-old geese, and then screening out the best quality geese for roasting; to keep fresh, from slaughtering, pickling, air-drying, roasting to serving, the whole process does not exceed 16 hours!
🪿 There are not many people It is difficult to order dishes other than roast goose, but no matter what the core is to eat roast goose 😋 Probably at dinner can not eat the lower leg (back half leg), but the upper chest during the roasting process in the oven placed flint, so that the goose heated evenly, achieve crispy skin and tender meat!
💯 I didn't like to eat roast goose because the skin was soft and fat, but Chan Kee's skin is really crispy and delicious ~ The secret recipe of marinating is exquisite! This shop's specialty dishes are Roast Goose Portuguese Fried Rice, Soy Sauce King Goose Intestine and Chan Kee Small Fried King (small seafood with leek flowers unexpectedly rice), heavy flavors come here 🥰

🇲🇴MGM COTAI|Palace 『Sugar』 Sculpture Art Special Exhibition
Due to the rave reviews, the special exhibition co-organized by MGM and "China Sugar King" Zhou Yi was originally scheduled to end at the end of last year and was changed to a permanent exhibition, which will interpret the life stories and styles of the themes of "joy" and "etiquette" in Chinese culture in a high-dimensional way. That's right! All are made of sugar sculptures🤩
🍭This is the first personal sugar sculpture exhibition of China's Sugar King "Zhou Yi" in his creative career. He adheres to the original intention of promoting Chinese traditional and intangible cultural heritage craft dough modeling, combined with Western fondant, and interprets Chinese festivals, etiquette and folk life with a mixed Chinese and Western approach. It is still a surprise to watch it again, and it is also very popular with the elders💕
🍭In recent years, China has been talking about the power of national trends, which is definitely a good way to revitalize Chinese traditional culture; you must watch the video and text introduction, so that you can feel the unparalleled efforts behind it, how to boldly and unconventionally integrate food technology and crafts such as dough modeling, sugar art, and fondant, and artistic crafts such as painting, spray painting, shaping, carving, etc., to present this short but touching eye feast👍
🐝The shape of the drone in the sky square has changed from a dolphin to a bee, which is too cute! ! Wait for the performance time to watch Wang Yi's sugar sculpture exhibition😙

🇲🇴 The King of Macau Art Exhibitions "Poly MGM Museum"
I know Macau is transforming and can provide more non-gambling activities, but I didn't know it could be so awesome🤩Since I went to see MGM's "Macau 2049", I really appreciate Pansy Ho's continued efforts to bring MGM to another level:
Poly MGM Museum-Blue Ribbon, free check-in for a feast of culture and art💕
🌟 The museum's first exhibition "Blue Ribbon of Yuanmingyuan" exhibited four authentic animal heads: ox head, tiger head, monkey head, and pig head. When I went there in May, they were replicas but presented at 1:1; their exquisite craftsmanship has been well preserved for a hundred years, and the details are amazing👍
🌟Maritime Silk Road Cultural Relics: The exhibition is themed on the Maritime Silk Road, displaying related underwater cultural relics, silk fabrics, spices and various rare treasures. Although you can appreciate the prosperity of ancient maritime trade, you don’t have fu😂
🌟Interactive Experience Area: Interactive devices such as the 360° LED transparent screen interactive display area can allow you to take interesting photos during the experience~
💯💯The Skydome Square is also beautiful. If you really like Macau, you can also appreciate the national treasure-level cultural relics up close and feel the strong cultural and artistic atmosphere, super🥰

Macau Airport VIP Lounge Plaza Premium Lounge
#7月好去处2025 #澳门 #澳门机场 #澳门廣場亞机场VIP房
In addition to the Macau Airlines VIP lounge, there is also a Plaza Premium Lounge, You Yi Ting. You can use the Dragon Card or the New Noble Pass to enter. You can pay extra at the counter (200 MOP per person and 300 MOP for two people) to upgrade to the Premium Lounge. This time, because the flight was delayed for two hours, there were a lot of people in the You Yi Ting VIP lounge. So I paid extra and went to the Premium Lounge next door. There were fewer people in the Premium Lounge and it was quieter. There were freshly made meals to eat. However, the beef noodles and pork chop buns were very hard and not very tasty. On the contrary, the fish ball noodles were delicious. The self-service roast chicken was also very good. There were desserts and fruits to take. There were also alcohol and milk tea. I recommend the wood husk milk tea, which was very delicious. If the flight is delayed and you have to stay at the airport for a long time, it is quite good to pay extra to go to the Premium Lounge.
🇲🇴Macau’s must-see water art show “The House of Dancing Water”
Due to the closure and disbandment caused by the epidemic, the legendary water show "The House of Dancing Water" returned with a new look on May 9th after a few years. The redesigned script of the House of Dancing Water was personally directed by Giuliano Peparini, the artistic director of Peparini Studios. It will be renewed in a narrative form that is more in line with the current artistic context, presenting an unparalleled visual art feast~
Epic legends are not to be missed when you come to Macau💕
🌟If you are watching it for the first time, you will definitely be impressed by the 270° circular theater + more than 2 billion RMB to create a dreamy water stage, aerial trapeze, 25-meter diving platform, motorcycle stunts, and romantic plots conceived into an 80-minute blockbuster without blinking!
(But those who watch it for the second time must be honest and say that the marginal effect is decreasing every ten minutes🤣I almost fell asleep at the end⋯⋯)
🌟But the visual shock + music effect of the whole theme, the ultimate combination of water and light and shadow, zero lines in the whole play, and the exquisite presentation of the body language of hundreds of international actors, those with good physical strength will definitely find it never boring and worth the ticket👍
📍City of Dreams Dancing Water

Walking on the streets of Macau, you can see bilingual road signs with Chinese and Portuguese signs everywhere. If you want to learn about the story of China-Portugal cooperation, you can visit the Sino-Portuguese Platform Complex and experience the vitality of exchanges and cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
The Sino-Portuguese Platform Complex is located near the Sai Wan Lake Square in Macau and on the shore of Nam Van Lake. It was originally a fixed meeting place for the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum (Macau), integrating trade services, economic and trade negotiations, commodity displays, cultural exhibitions, and information exchanges. The exhibition hall of the Sino-Portuguese Platform Complex is a treasure exhibition hall for understanding Portuguese-speaking countries in one stop. Here you can see the most representative products of 9 Portuguese-speaking countries, such as Portugal's Old Man brand canned sardines, East Timor's coffee beans, and Cape Verde's spices.
"Hand in hand across time." This line of words was written in Chinese and Portuguese on the wall of the exhibition hall. The museum is open to the general public. Ordinary consumers can come and buy goods on site. Various activities are often held in the exhibition hall to let children experience the charm of Chinese and Portuguese culture.
Friends who come to Macau can come here to visit if they have time. It is free to visit! !
I am here @ Macau Our Lady of Hope Church
#澳门隐世打卡位
The Church of Our Lady of L'Avenida is one of the three oldest churches in Macau. It was built in 1568 and is located in Fengtang Lane. It has a history of more than 450 years. As the earliest Chinese church in Macau, it was the cathedral of the Bishop of Macau before the cathedral in the square in front of the church was built. It is the first cathedral after the establishment of the Macau Diocese.
The church is famous for its simple and elegant Portuguese architectural style. The exterior walls are made of milky white stone and the roof is covered with red tiles. The overall feeling is simple and solemn. The interior of the church is beautifully decorated with exquisite stained glass windows and meticulously carved wood altars, showing the artistic style of the Portuguese Renaissance.
The Church of Our Lady of L'Avenida is not only the center of religious belief, but also an important witness to the history of Macau. The church has witnessed the development of Macau from a small fishing village to today's international city, carrying countless historical stories and cultural legends.
In front of the Church of Our Lady, there are many other characteristic and charming buildings that can be checked in and photographed. It is worth your visit.

Macau's Best Buffet! Unlimited Lobster at Mezza9 in City of Dreams!
I think this is the best buffet I've ever been to in Macau.
📍MO MEZZA9, Level 3, Grand Hyatt City of Dreams, Estr. do Istmo, Macau
Located on the 3rd floor of the Grand Hyatt Hotel, reservations are a must. Since there are lines of people waiting from the opening time, it's hard to get in without a reservation.
What makes this place special is that you can either pick up food like a regular buffet or order dishes like lobster, steak, and seafood, which are freshly cooked and served directly to your table.
You can enjoy unlimited orders of these dishes, and during the meal, the staff occasionally rings a bell to announce special dishes.
The system is unique, and the food is absolutely delicious. If you're going to visit just one buffet in Macau, Mezza9 is the place to go.
