Hey guys, I just got back from Jingdezhen and I have some photos to share with you. The Imperial Kiln National Archaeological Site Park is a paradise for taking photos in traditional Chinese clothing. The old kiln bricks and mottled walls make for a great backdrop. I rented a set of Hanfu and took photos at the ancient kilns and ruins. Every photo is beautiful enough to be a wallpaper. The Taoxichuan Cultural and Creative District is a great place to take modern artistic photos. The lights and creative ceramic sculptures make for a great background. There are also many artistic shops on the street, and the interior decor is also great for photos. Sanbao International Ceramic Art Village is surrounded by green mountains and rivers. The rustic farmhouses and artistic studios are scattered throughout the village, and the photos taken here have a fresh filter. But Jingdezhen is not just a "vase"! The food here is also amazing. The beef bone noodles are made with large pieces of beef bone that are stewed until soft and flavorful. The noodles are spicy and delicious. The alkaline water cake is fried until dry and fragrant, and is served with eggs and vegetables. The taste is unique. In addition, the ceramic culture experience in Jingdezhen is also great. You can find a pottery studio and try your hand at pottery making and coloring. It's a wonderful process to feel the clay turn into an artwork at your fingertips. This is a fun experience that is worth trying in addition to taking photos.

The architecture is very unique, and the porcelain is mostly original designs, so it's a bit expensive. If you get tired of shopping, you can try a local restaurant nearby. Friendly reminder: Remember to book in advance for popular restaurants. Day 2: Yaoli Ancient Town + Hanxi Village + Porcelain Palace. It's better to visit during off-peak times for a better experience. We rented a car to Yaoli early in the morning the day after it rained. Buy a cup of freshly squeezed sugarcane juice and enjoy the misty mountains. Hanxi Village is small, with tea gardens and fresh air. Be sure to try the homemade tea jelly. The Porcelain Palace is just for taking photos, so you can skip it. Day 3: Taoyang New Village + Sculpture Porcelain Factory. The night market at Taoyang New Village is lively, with many cute little items at affordable prices. The Sculpture Porcelain Factory is perfect for young people to take photos and try their hand at crafts. The pottery and glass-making experiences are affordable, and the teachers are patient. Both adults and children love it. Day 4: Ancient Kiln Folk Customs Museum + Fuzhou Lane + Imperial Kiln Museum. The Ancient Kiln and Imperial Kiln Museum are highly recommended. Fuzhou Lane is a food street where you can try local snacks (the fried dough sticks wrapped in glutinous rice cakes, rice noodles, and clay pot soup are all good). 🏨Accommodation tips: Taoyi Guanying Hotel. It's close to the North Station and various attractions in the city (3–5 km). The rooms are spacious, clean, and tidy, and the breakfast is plentiful. 💗Other tips: Overall, the attractions in Jingdezhen are worth visiting, but transportation is a big problem. Electric scooters 🛵 are parked everywhere, drivers don't follow traffic rules, buses stop running at 7 pm, it's hard to get a taxi near attractions, etc. The transportation situation needs a lot of planning and improvement.

Tickets are CNY 53. At first, I thought it was quite expensive, but when I went there, I realized it was really big. There is not only the Imperial Kiln Museum (free but requires a reservation three days in advance), but also the Yellow Kiln, Earth Kiln, and Wood Kiln, as well as various kiln displays and experiences. There are also contemporary artists creating on site. It's a great place to learn and experience. 🏠 Taoyangli: There are many ancient buildings in Jiangxi, as well as ancient kiln sites that have been excavated, all of which are well preserved. Plus, the market can be visited for half a day. We were lucky to have good weather and the clouds were amazing. We chose to go to Taoyangli at around 3 pm, to visit the buildings and have afternoon tea. The sunset was beautiful. The Imperial Kiln Museum is great for photos after the lights are turned on at night. Most of the exhibits are imperial porcelain from the Ming and Qing dynasties (most of which are in the Palace Museum), as well as porcelain restoration techniques and results.

🚄 Take your kids to Jingdezhen, Jiangxi before the winter holiday starts. It's the off-season now, so there aren't many people. Jingdezhen is known as a paradise for handicrafts, and it lives up to its name. Kids can make handicrafts one by one without getting bored. They can play with mud, burn glass, make fridge magnets, ceramic rings, and ceramic badges. There are small shops everywhere where you can try these activities! 🏨 I highly recommend staying in the Taoyangli Scenic Area. You can get free tickets to the scenic area. The hotel is in an alley, which is very unique. I originally booked a hotel in Taoxichuan, but later stayed in both places. We did it quickly because we wanted to enter the Imperial Kiln Museum before 9:30 pm. The butterfly we made in the end was quite beautiful! The popular check-in point in Sanbao Village, the gas cylinder, was so popular that we waited in line for a long time! Finally, my kids tried glass burning. It's not easy to do, but they made a glass butterfly ring in the end. There are many shops where you can try handicrafts. You can just go into any one of them, as they are all similar. I don't recommend renting an electric bike in Sanbao Village, as there are many cars on the road, which is not safe. You can just take a taxi to the gas cylinder to check in. Taxis are very cheap in Jiangxi, and they are very quick to accept orders. It's easy to get a taxi! 🥘 Popular restaurants in Jingdezhen: Home for Dinner, Little Yellow Fish, Ouji, Tiangengji. They are all delicious, so you can eat with confidence. None of them are disappointing, especially the stir-fried dishes, which are very fragrant. Go, don't just visit the popular spots. We went on Monday, and it was closed on Monday, so we just took some photos outside. We wandered around more. In the Ming Dynasty, the Imperial Utensil Factory was usually managed by Raozhou Prefecture, which governed Fuliang County and Jingdezhen. Whenever a large amount of firing was required, the court would send a special person to Jingdezhen to supervise the kiln. In the Qing Dynasty, a pottery supervisor was sent to Jingdezhen for a long stay. Jingdezhen's porcelain making rose in the Han and Wei Dynasties, developed in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, began to emerge in the Song Dynasty, and rose in the Yuan Dynasty.
