HIKING AND JOGGING AT TAMAN TUGU

Last minute plan with this one always works! We managed to go here on Saturday morning before having breakfast. It was really great since we get to spend some time with each other despite our busy schedule . The hiking trails is not quite long and if you’re planning to go with family and your little one on some adventurous time , this is the place for you. There are also some stalls that sells food and coconut water as well to quest your thirst after hiking activities. Taman Tugu Hike Trails 👣🍃

It's a very nice place to do an easy walk in a tropical jungle. The trail is safe for kids and older people. The basic facilities such as the rest room and shelter were provided. 👍🏻 Easy to follow trail, and well maintained. It has a checkpoint every few metres to show you are heading the right direction so you will be impossible to lose in this jungle. There are swings and benches for you to catch a breather. 🍃 At the exit, there is a stall selling snacks, drinks and merchandise. Taman Tugu is a non-profit corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative led by Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah) with the support of various public sector agencies and civil-society organisations. The 66-acre Taman Tugu site converted into a for-profit tourist attraction theme-park. The entrance fee is FOC and open to public. As you walk the trails you will notice quite a number of palm oil trees. 🌿 Taman Tugu is a Green Lung in the heart of Kuala Lumpur and turning it into an urban forest park. 🌿Located to the north of Taman Botani Perdana with Tugu Negara in the south-west, Padang Merbok in the south-east and Bank Negara’s Lanai Kijang to the east of the site. 🌿 It’s have a total of approximately 7km of forest trails available that will take you about around 1.5 hour of walking. If you’re into trail hiking or running, this trail will be super easy. #hiddengems Despite its location at Kuala Lumpur City Centre, this hiking park is not like an ordinary hiking trails. It has a unique features that not many people knows. This park is a historical place which hikers will found a few former house site belong to the old villagers who use to lives there 70 years back. Its kinda scary and interesting site to explore. They also has a bamboo forest and stream along the trails. Theres a lot of bench, swing and gazebo to rest. So eventhough its a 5km trails, you wont feel tired. Just take it slow and enjoy the nature. Take a break at any check point. P/S : The parking is limited so do come early at 7:00am to secure the parking spot or else you need to park at the roadside. #hiking #florafauna #historicalplaces

Hiking in the middle of the city!

We were very surprised by how beautiful this place is, it is called taman tugu, and it has plenty of hiking trails, relatively easy for the people who don’t know much about hiking, perfect for families. We could see monkeys at the entrance but we were not exposed to them by the hiking trails even though we heard we may encounter them. Hiking time is not gonna be that long. Maybe an hour and half is more than enough here but definitely worth it!

this event is held every first Sunday of the month. speakers will get on stage to share about various topics, and this month it was about the heritage of KL. very interesting and informative, but the most important thing- it’s free !
