[2025 Johor Bahru Attraction] Travel Guide for Taman Perling (Updated Apr)

Many would come to Johor during the weekend for their dim sum craving as it is not only economical but also delicious, this is one that we heard a lot about and decided to come down for it! Dasixi has become a franchise in JB having multiple outlets around the city, the one that we went is in the corner of Taman Perling, we were there about 10am or so and we still had about a 30mins wait before we got to the table. What’s unique about this dim sum place is that it is not by a per order basis, but they will have their server bring several baskets of dimsum around the eatery for you to choose your favourite. #malaysia

Very often whenever I craved dim sum I will have them in Johor Bahru because of the price and how I can order more dishes to statisify the cravings. This time round I tried 大四喜 located at Taman Perling. We had to take a grab (taxi) there and while there was a long queue. It took only about 30 mins and we got our own table! Over here, you don’t order the dishes through the menu but their server will actually carry the dishes around for you to choose. It was a little hard to decide quickly while we didn’t feel pressured. After a few rounds. We stopped choosing and they were alright. However I must say, you can come and try but if you don’t, you are not missing anything.

Wow to tell you honestly this one of the best places in jb to taste the east coast cuisines of nasi Kak Waa, nasi kerabu, nasi ayam penyet and varieties of east coast famous lauk. Signature Nasi Kerabu and Teh Ais Madu & Greentea Madu is highly recommended. Delicious and affordable. Street parking available. Price per Person: $5 SGD Rating: 5/5 This is a must visit street food lane you have to visit in JB. Located at taman peling is a stretch of stalls selling snacks, desserts and drinks at a really affordable price. My favorite stall has to be the snack cart that sells all type of delicious fried local snack like – the fried banana (also known as goreng pisang) decent size banana that’s not too sweet but also creamy, Fried Fish (also known as keropok Lekok) super crispy yet chewy, fried cempedak (similar to jackfruit) the smell is amazing and when fried its so soft and creamy.

We managed to stumble across a Dim Sim restaurant called 大四喜 !! The Dim Sums in particular were really fresh and had reasonable prices :) What we really appreciated was the efficiency and speed of the service, we could get as much as we wanted in a really short period of time 👍❤️ I’ll recommend this place for anyone who wants to have a quick stop but do take note that there might be a queue so come during non- peak times 💯#foodie #dimsum #Johorbahru

Enjoyed our dimsum brunch😋👍🏻✨Da Si Xi offered variety traditional Cantonese dimsum for their in-house diners, as well their own homemade variations of dishes and other local snacks.
