Review - Cho Leng Restaurant, Morning Glory Noodles @ Talat Phlu
The shop is open-air and located under the bridge. It is not hard to find, right next to the Talat Phlu train tracks. There are about 50 tables. When we went, there weren't many people yet, so we didn't have to wait long for our food. People kept coming in to order, both for dine-in and take-out.
Highlights - This place is famous for stir-fried morning glory noodles. They even named it the shop. After trying it, I must say that it lives up to its reputation. The taste is a bit spicy. If you can't handle spicy food, you might want to tell the shop to go easy on you. This dish costs 150 baht, which may seem expensive, but it's packed with ingredients and the seafood is very big. It's worth it!
Another menu we ordered to try was the hot plate oyster omelet (120 baht). It was served piping hot. The oysters were very fresh and there was a lot of it. The batter was perfectly made, with a bit of a crispy layer on top mixed with a bit of soggy batter, just like oyster omelet. The dipping sauce was a bit sweet, which went well with the oyster omelet. I recommend this dish. It's delicious. If you order a lot, blow on it. Be careful not to burn your mouth because it's really hot.
Price per dish - A hundred baht or more, but the portion is large. The pieces are big, fresh, and clean. Overall, I was satisfied with the price and quality.
*The only disadvantage is that there are no tissues provided😂
Location - Soi Thet Thai 25, Talat Phlu Subdistrict, Thon Buri District, Bangkok 10600
*You can park your car at Soi Thet Thai 20. The first hour is 40฿, and the next hour is 20฿.
