Snake cafe - Japan 🇯🇵
Located in the busy Takeshita street, you can find lots of different ‘animal cafes’, a concept which you can eat and drink amongst animals. However there were plenty which I did not want to enter due to the kind of wild animals which was being offered for interaction, such as otters, foxes and meerkats. My friend and I found a respectful, clean snake cafe, which offered a 15 minute interaction with a snake whilst being supervised by a handler and an option of some tea or coffee drinks. The snakes were kept in boxes safely so you could see them whilst you ate your food. It was a very calm, clean and relaxing environment and all proceeds from the cafe went into caring for the snakes!

Recommended Best Okonomiyaki/Monjayaki Restaurants in Tokyo!! - Sakura-tei
#JapanTravel
I'll recommend the best okonomiyaki and monjayaki restaurant I've had in Tokyo!! It's a monjiyaki restaurant called Sakuratei!
Sakuratei is located in Tokyo Harajuku, so the neon sign outside the store is Harajuku-like and pretty!! The inside of the store is also much larger than I thought, so it's nice that the line moves quickly even though it's a famous restaurant. However, they take reservations, so I recommend making a reservation before you go!
I recommend the mentaiko mochi monjayaki, pork and shrimp okonomiyaki menu! It was also fun because you get to make the okonomiyaki and monjiyaki yourself. I ordered potato butter as a side dish, and it was so delicious!!

If you thought Harajuku meant only shopping and weird clothing. Let me tell you there is so much that can be done in Harajuku and plus yoyogi park, meiji shrine and omotesando. All of which can be done by getting down at the Harajuku station.
May be not convincing enough for some but in my younger years I have done these weekend stops in tokyo mostly focussing on Harajuku, in and around. Those were weekend getaways to explore the cosplay fascination, the urge to feel good, the good food and shopping.
Harajuku is well known for fashion and youth centric culture. So things to do shouldn't be difficult to find. While the amount of people in here or in most touristic hubs of Tokyo can be a bother. But it seems it's part of the experience. And i sure appreciate the lack of less of the red light thing that is so much in places like shinjuku. #weekendgetaways #shortrip #shopping #cherryblossom2024 #food #cosplay

A must-visit for Tokyo Sanrio fans, Harajuku Sanrio Shop 💗
📍Tokyo, Japan
If you're a Sanrio character fan, take note 📢
If you go to Takeshita Street in Harajuku, Tokyo,
there's a Sanrio shop called Sanrio Vivitics
where you can get a variety of Sanrio goods at relatively cheap prices
so if you like Sanrio, I recommend you visit :)
In the afternoon, there are a lot of people on the street itself
so you might feel a bit out of it, so I recommend you go early ㅎㅎ

Busiest Street
#thingstodo This is one of the very popular places for young people. The whole street is full of retail shops selling fashion for young people. Tourists from all over the world like to come here to feel the popular fashion and culture . A great experience to visit this famous place ! The entrance is cool with a camera that tracks you on the big street sign. Many people stop to take photos here. The street itself is full of cute Knick knacks, souvenirs, clothing and accessories. The food is either crepe, corn dogs, 100 coin, or kebabs and this just keeps repeating along the street. You can go into animal cafes which seem cute! There are barely any bathrooms and the street does smell very bad.

Background:
Harajuku Station → Shibuya Station
1 Harajuku Station
You can get off the subway at Harajuku Station and get off at Shinjuku Station without going back.
Kiddy land
From the subway station, you can see a large building straight ahead. There are many different IPs.
Chikawa is on the first floor, you can pay attention to the new replenishment. The goods are relatively complete compared to other stores, it seems that only the first floor can have a chiikawa land bag. Each floor is super good to visit, there are many favorite IPs, I would have been crazy happy when I was a kid.
→Takeshita Street
It's a very lively street, there are many trendy brand buyer shops along the way, the price is quite good. There are also many snacks, they all look delicious.
Fukuya Harajuku Store
Inside Takeshita Street, this store can use Alipay, you can rest assured to read the blog! There is a Harajuku limited ribbon bear, which is really super cute.
2 Shibuya Station
The street feeling of Shinjuku is not much different from Huaihai Road in Shanghai, perhaps because the road is a bit dirty when it rains.
But only when you take pictures near the Shibuya intersection will it look good.
There are really too many good-looking people on the street!
There are many luxury stores on the street if you need to go and see.
→Shibuya loft seems to have seven floors, there is a chiikawa for sale. B1 can find greeting cards, the top floor has other things, but no dolls.
→Shibuya sky we booked is the 3:40 session, don't be late! (It seems to say that if you are late, you won't be allowed to go up!!)
It rained that day so the roof was not open, the staff will ask you if you want to change the date or go up. We didn't have time so we had to go straight in.
There is a small bar inside, you can order a drink and sit at the bar to look out the window. After entering, you can find a place in front of the glass to sit down. As long as you go in, you can stay inside without time limit.
We originally thought we really couldn't go to the roof, but fortunately the rain stopped and the roof was open at night! At this time, there are no people in the four corners of the room, you don't need to queue up to take pictures, you can take a few shots.
Before going to the roof, you need to store your belongings in the locker, which requires 100 yen. The wind on the rooftop is really big, it's very, very cold, but it's really bustling and beautiful to look down from the top floor, and there is no regret.
Today's luck book is really bursting, I originally thought I would definitely not be able to go up this time, I didn't expect the rain to stop.
Sunset tickets need to be grabbed a month in advance, we booked on xc_ can be used. There are generally no sunset tickets on klook.

🇯🇵Takeshita Street
I am here for the famous Harajuku station and it is sad to know that the original station building has been removed during the locked down period. It has a rustic look and maintain the old wooden structure. Now it has been replace by a newer constructed building. Around Harajuku station, there is a famous shopping street, Takeshita Street, and it has many shops and eateries. It is open air with no shelter and the roads are not closed to traffic. But many locals and tourists will flock here to spot the cos-players. This is a gathering place for many cos-players and the famous Meiji jingu shrine temple is nearby too.

Takeshita Street Square
Super crowded but fun to see the thousands of people strolling through a narrow alley
This is a must visit in Tokyo, especially en route to Shibuya which is about 15 minutes walk. There are tons of shops and many of them are cosplay or rock punk themed. You could spend all day going through the shops and it is such a fun and lively atmosphere. Make sure to note places you want to come back to as the whole area is a treasure trove maze that you may never find the same shop twice.
Miss Thai
The 350-meter Takeshita-dori Street, starting across the road from JR Harajuku Station, is geared towards Tokyo's fashion and trend-conscious set. Lady Gaga is known to shop here—despite its reputation for being kawaii cute, there are also several boutiques that specialize in edgy grunge and goth fashion. #wintergetaway
